paborn Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Thank God this forum is digital and we aren't killing trees to talk about moonlight and Jupiter. As the itch for my next trip grows insanely hot I would like to ask for updates on: Xboys Classic Boys Screw Boys And anything else that is not being covered in recent posts. Hey, throw in Pattaya as well! Quote
Popular Post paulsf Posted October 16, 2018 Popular Post Posted October 16, 2018 Hot Male downstairs bars just stopped paying their bar boys. They now work on tips only and most have left. Only a couple boys in sight at a Hot Male and Hot Male 2 . Not good. Up stairs they have gone back to their Thai boys only working. I haven’t been up recently but heard it’s slow. Both Hot Male and Banana Bar have been quiet most evenings during the slow season, but they do get a little bump after midnight. XBoys and Freshboys have been very up and down. They both have some very hot boys in all sizes and shapes. They seem fully stocked for high season. The customers just haven’t arrived yet. Thursday Friday and Saturday have been good nights, the other nights quite slow. Over the past month you can see new boys arriving almost daily looking for work. Now, to many boys, not enough work. FreshBoys has all new management. They seem to start the shows at 10pm even if 1 customer. The 2 ladyboys run back and forth to FreshBoys 2 in Patpong as they do shows at both places. XBoys shows start between 10:30 and 11, depending on customer count. Though always seem to end up with decent crowd by end of show. Bangkok Massage has been doing very well. Chinese customers don’t off much, but they like massages and consistently have been using Bangkok Massage. Many come out of Dreamboys then go up for massage. This was a long holiday weekend and Bangkok was empty of people, so off to a very slow beginning of the week. Dreamboys still does very well overall. It has its off night here and there, but better than average crowds. Not many changes. Maxis Restaurant has been doing very well. Consistently busy between 8 to midnight. They just added a new experienced waiter last night as they get ready for the end of rainy season. Screwboys has great selection of boys. For some reason it’s been a bit slow customer wise the last couple of weeks, but prior to that they were doing very well. FreshBoys 2 in Patpong has its ups and downs. Some really good nights, some really slow nights. You just need to go and see what is happening on your night. So right now there are a lot of boys working and a lot of boys looking for work. All hoping for good high season. dankfq, vinapu, CurtisD and 7 others 10 Quote
Noutchie Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Thanks for the update. Arrive Bangkok on Saturday but heading straight to Pattaya so have appreciated the updates about there also. Have a few days solo in Bk before flying home on 9th so will give them a look in. Quote
paborn Posted October 16, 2018 Author Posted October 16, 2018 Paul, thanks so much. Very nice report. Quote
vinapu Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 few boys from Hot Male are now at Moonlight in case somebody is looking for a missing favorite. Quote
paborn Posted October 16, 2018 Author Posted October 16, 2018 Has anyone been to Classic Boys and is Scorpian still there? Quote
sglad Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Has anyone been to Classic Boys and is Scorpian still there? The last I heard he crawled under a rock. Were you stung by him? Quote
paborn Posted October 16, 2018 Author Posted October 16, 2018 I assume this is meant to be amusing; however, it is hardly helpful. vinapu and paulsf 2 Quote
paulsf Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Don’t know about Classic, but Scorpion Bar is still there. Not much going on. A couple of boys working there for tips only. More than a couple of customers at a time is a good night. paborn 1 Quote
paulsf Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Bonney Massage, next to where Dicks was, closed supposedly for good tonight. Owner could no longer pay staff. We will have to see as these places have a way of reopening. paborn 1 Quote
paborn Posted October 16, 2018 Author Posted October 16, 2018 That's too bad, at least, in that I want to see businesses in our world thrive. Quote
vinapu Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 That's too bad, at least, in that I want to see businesses in our world thrive. if we will patronize them , chances are they will. Sad news of Bonny demise but since Sokchai left I admit I never returned and preferred Bangkok Massage in the soi, hope Bonny's boys will find employment there Quote
neddy Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 The last time I was in the Soi, some weeks back now, I noticed that there were very few guys outside Bonney. It seemed unusual. Posters have made comments that Bangkok Massage is doing ok. Quote
bucknaway Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 I was in Bangkok in October but I didn't visit the expensive bars in soi twilight, I did visit Jupiter, moonlight, nature boy and golden cock. They were fine and enjoyed the show at the 2 show bars and didn't miss soi twilight at all, but I did walk through soi twilight a few times. Quote
Londoner Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 Two weeks ago, the Hotmale host bars were active; I met a very nice Cambodian guy there. Banana bar had a few hosts too...it's been a long time since it had more than a few. I was only there one night but, as far as I could see, there was little change to what I'd seen four months ago. I can't comment on the go go bars. The loss of Dicks was very sad. It was a good place to watch the world go by. The Jomtien Dicks, on the other hand, was still going strong last week and I had an excellent dinner there. paborn 1 Quote
vinapu Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 ....and didn't miss soi twilight at all, and then we complain bars are going out of business and how good old good days were paborn and paulsf 2 Quote
paborn Posted October 17, 2018 Author Posted October 17, 2018 So right, so very right.......... Quote
bucknaway Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 They have to become competative. Soi twilight bars were in a competition to see who could charge the most for drinks not for customers. They have to earn my patronage and this trip they didn't get a single satang from me. If I pay their prices and complain while there are other options then I only have myself to blame. If bars I don't visit go out of business is it my fault? I wish I had that kind of power. ChristianPFC, witty and hanan 3 Quote
paborn Posted October 17, 2018 Author Posted October 17, 2018 Well, I'll make my own survey in January. But, considering off fees and expected tips I have trouble considering Jupiter or Moonlight cheaper. Also, with Dick's gone my allegiance is going to Maxi's and I'll check the massage guys at Bangkok. We'll see but I suspect I'll find a way to help support the soi that we will all lament the loss of when it's gone. Quote
paulsf Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 There was a huge police presence tonight from Silom to Patpong to Surawong. Immigration police, tourist police and Bang Rak police. Many police cars parked on Surawong from Burger King headed up to Twilight. Taxis usually parked in front of Patpong were nowhere to be found. I went into Jupiter about 10pm, I have a friend that works there . He told me police were in earlier. Most of the boys were fully clothed and no one was wearing numbers. Some took their shirts off for quick runway walk. When I left there were immigration police everywhere in Soi 4. I counted over 20 but there were more. They were checking passports of customers seated at the bars. Randomly though. Walked into Patpong headed to Screwboys. Same thing, Police entire length of street . My friend at Screwboys said police came into bars early, but late not bothering inside, just checking customers walking around outside. I left Screwboys to get taxi on Surawong. So many police cars parked and police officers standing at front of Patpong I ended up walking to Twilight to get taxi. Some tuk tuks at Patpong, but hard to get taxis. There had to be between 50-75 officers that I saw. Most just walking around with a few stopping people to look at passports. Mostly immigration officers so I assume part of the crackdown on illegals that has been going on. All started after 10pm and I got taxi at 12:30 and they were still going strong. In all my years I have seen police raids and police presence but nothing like tonight. Jasper, paborn and stijntje 3 Quote
paborn Posted October 18, 2018 Author Posted October 18, 2018 Paul, the good news appears to be that they were after immigrants per se and not after the bars specifically. The last time I saw this, or even was asked for my passport, was back in the nineties when southern Muslims had set off a bomb near Bangrak police station. Funny thing, I did not have my passport, but I had a Thai guy with me. An off from Charmming in Saphan Kwai, the guy explained who we were and the police waved us past. Obviously not terrorists. witty Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 Last night was decidedly low traffic (both foot and vehicular) in Soi Twilight and Suriwong Road as I was able to sashay up and down the streets without too much trouble, especially when the nice weather held up for the entire evening. Got around to visiting a couple of bars, and despite the low punters these days, the establishments soldiered on and held up their heads high. Quote
bucknaway Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 The establishments Soldiered on and held up their PRICES high. I fixed that for you... witty and ChristianPFC 2 Quote
