In the absence of anything on google, or from others here, you should probably try:

 

1  Posting your picture of the gay apps & waiting to see who contacts you.

 

2  Every time you walk past a massage place, have a good slow look to see who is working there.    In a place the size of Chiang Rai, there are bound to be at least some mixed places with male & female staff.   See if any of the guys make eye contact.    In the absence of that, just walk up to whichever one you fancy & book an oil massage.  Lie naked on the table.   See where it goes.  Also make sure your hands are near the edge of the table, so if he's anywhere close to them, try slowly let them wander.  If discouraged, stop that game.  Quite often they go a long with it & this leads to more.   Or they might deliberately rub their crotch up against any hand by the edge of the table.

I haven't gone to Chiang Rai since many months (years ?) but from a quick Street View search, I see that Regency Bar was still open in Januray 2017 - so it could still be now.

 

This bar is located in downtown Chiang Rai, facing the north side of Wang Come Hotel ; there are many massage places on the same side soi, perhaps some boys hide there ?

 

Every time I went there, I found the atmosphere to be quite good and welcoming.

 

I also remember that there was a male massage service provided through The North Hotel (behind the old bus station), perhaps you could hang around the place just to have a look ; this hotel is well hidden in small sois but Google Maps and Street View are your friends.

The times I have gone there I have usually been the only customer but a boy will come and sit with you. Always check your bill here. I have a few suggestions:

I don't know how old those listings are, but it's a start.

 

2. Offer a taxi driver a few hundred baht to help you find what you're looking for.  They'll know.

 

3.  Discreetly ask hotel staff boys or restaurant waiters.  They'll probably know.  You may even end up with one of them.  During his off hours he probably can't come to your room, but the two of you can meet up later and go someplace else.

 

4.  Carry cards with your name (maybe not your real name) and mobile telephone number.  Give the card to promising looking young gents.  Don't be surprised if a little later you get a call.

 

5.  Simply walk around the main part of the city.  They'll find you.

 

6.  If you spot any promising young gents while you're out and about, give them a smile and a hello.  Often you'll find one thing leads to another.

 

7.  As for the gay apps, there is no need to post any photos or even use your real name.  Create a new Email address especially for use with the apps.  When you get there, that's when to open the apps.  You'll find many more profiles if you are present in the local area.

 

8.  If you go to any gay bars in Pattaya, Bangkok, or Chiang Mai before you're in Chiang Rai, ask some of the boys and./or mama-sans.  They probably know more than anyone else.

 

I've used these methods even in the most remote rural areas.  I've never failed to be successful.

 

Also abang1961 is quite right about not having to bring them to your hotel if you don't want to.  Once you find some boys, they'll know where to go.

 

I won't be surprised if after your trip you tell us you found several boys.  As a matter of fact, I'll be very surprised if you tell us you didn't find any . . .

It's across the street from the Wangcome Hotel (north side)....and very difficult to miss (a large sign above and very big lettering on the window).  

 

OP....there should be no rationale reason you simply can't go to the bar.....nobody is going to see you go there (well, except for co-workers who might be tailing you). They supposedly open at 7:30 PM but probably best to wait until at least 9PM.

Yes, but probably the other one also will have sex for more money.

Unless your job involves discouragement of gay dating or prostitution etc, I cannot see how it is improper to go to a bar.   The only illegal part is the service that happens after you leave the bar, however this part of the law is not really enforced and ethically, if both parties consent, I've always figured it's OK.   And that's the part you're looking for anyway.

 

Posting on apps does not need your photo.   You can set up a new gmail address, download a few apps, use the new e-mail address to set up the accounts and away you go.   Then, if you must, shut the accounts later.

 

I personally just settle for switching from my real photo to a scenery shot, just depending where I am.

There are many such groups. Some new ones coming regularly.

None of these groups is for farangs, which is good because it’s not the same boys you usually find on the apps or in the bars.

I was basically going to ask the same question. I was able to join the CR group noted above. Would be interested in other similar groups. And also why you say that they are not for farang? They let me in. Seems like it could be a good resource for finding what you're looking for.
