Differentiating Among Escorts... Is it the Price?

Excuse the very awkward wording of the thread title...

I am having trouble articulating my question in an appropriate way, because it definitely can be taken as offensive or arrogant, and that is not my intention here. Just to be clear.

In New York, there are definitely several "levels" of finding meet-ups: there are the craigslist guys, the Adam4Adam guys, the RentMen guys, and so on.

Do you think there is an equivalent "tiering" in Bangkok? To get to the point, where does someone go (either in real life or in virtual life) to find -- and here comes the problematic language -- a more up-scale type of guy - and that is coded language for a guy who might cost more but is more likely to be a more reliable source of enjoyment than some of the "maybe" types we tend to more easily encounter?

Appreciate any thoughts....

I would think easiest way would be to go to Jupiter.

Member also reports at least one stunner at Moonlight and more likely to follow as they staff up.

Dream Boy, according to reports of others, has history of guys you seek.

many thanks for this....

but, for one such as myself who has grown tired of the gogo bars for various reasons, are there services or web sites that might replicate that experience?

Check guys on BKK craglist... they seem to be more upscale than apps like romeo or hornet

I don't believe there is much correlation between price and quality of service, assuming you are paying a fair price.

You might get a few superstar cute lads wanting more money, but that is different to quality of service.

On the odd occasion, reminding them that they need to perform to get the tip has helped.

Also,  I get the general impression that if your lad thinks you are in town for another 2 weeks, on average, there is more of an incentive for him to perform in the hope of getting another off.

But I don't think a lad who asks for an extra 500~1000 baht will do any more than one at standard price.

i absolutely agree that there is no given correlation between price and quality.... i am just wondering if there are any web sites or services that feature guys who have been (more or less) "vetted"....  or guys who self-promote on the internet ....

not an urgent need here, just curious.

"Pong musicmassage" on twitter and instagram looks very good.  He has been mentioned a few times on these forums but never saw a review.  His web site lists quite an intersting sequence of events for his 90 minute session.  He has a web page - musicmassage.net.

He looks very upscale!

interesting topic here. Usually very upscale escorts are very discreet and only way to find them is through word of mouth of previous clients recommendations. Some models do some side job as escort but yeah, they wont be cheap. Rentmen is a good website and some people in BKK use it too. My take is, some hint would be, their rate, their look, their listing (free or paid listing) and even their hotel or neighborhood their stay in. Some upscale bars in the elite hotels also have this line of people working there. Im just talking base on stuff i heard, cant afford them myself so no first hand experience. Also, there are people who are not usually MB but will be with u if the price is right, many of which are actors, porn stars, model, instaceleb etc. but yeah, even trying to hunt for this people will cost u a lot, and no guarantee too.

I agree but for me , who offs usually long time,  higher tip usually buys more time with the boy.

Since it takes two to tango,  in order to have  experience of better quality  it must be some chemistry between us and boy on top of our admiration of his body and his admiration of our wallet. And while admiration may be   faked for money , chemistry can't.

does "up-scale" here just mean better sex or better body; or an entertaining, well educated companion for the whole night with challenging and interesting repartee, a sophisticated palette for both food and drink and a knowledge of the best venues for an interesting experience of the city?

for the former forget the apps, try some of the more upscale massage venues

for the latter good luck - there is an A-List gay scene here but is is hard for the average western visitor to break into

excellent words of advice, bkkguy, and while i kind of instinctively knew what you have said, it is helpful to hear it put the way you do.

... all of which makes me wonder about that whole A-list thing... here where I am (New York City), we have a pretty obnoxious contingent of A-Gays who, when push comes to shove, I avoid like the plague. vapid, materialist guys who spend all day at their glamor gyms (half of which, of course, is devoted to texting and checking their hair)... my self-presentation is kind of mature preppy but i tend to like a bit of scruff and less polish.

i have had generally excellent experiences with massage parlor guys (although i would be curious to know what your favorite place is...), mediocre experiences with bar guys, and fair experiences with app/web site guys.

maybe i just need to chill and continue having a good time however i find it!

For me, at least, better 'the boy next door', who is grateful for the off, who will go out of his way to ensure that you have a great time with him, rather than the 'stunner' who gets offed all the time and just 'goes through the motions' to earn his fee.

In bars, its the lad that smiles at you, keeps eye contact and asks to come back with you, rather than the lad you have been drooling over that you have to ask if he will come back with you.

Definitely...and twice on Sundays!

Wondered about this myself too recently. In short the answer is: NO, or; not really.

Of the many m2m massageshops I know only 1 that does differentiate in advising tips for more skilled/better reviewed staff (urban male).

For the rest its just like Thai food-or in fact many things Thai: price does not at all correlate to quality or service level, but much more to image/general standards of the place the guys are working in.

In the touristy places the usual rot has taken in since many years: do less for more money (in the view of the guys working). Same for tuktuks, souvenirs etc.

Here in the west I know of several toyboy-rating/reviews sites (even on those you can order them-like booking.com for HTLs), but in Thai these are really very hard, if at all, to find. Has also to do with the official ban on all things pros-ty and the general Thai way of living.

of course it is not the A-list you want to be associating with per se except as a means to an end - their "companions" and the discreetly shared phone numbers and details

whilst I have glimpsed inside this inner circle once or twice I don't know that it is the best option unless you have the time, the perseverance and the money - "chill and continue having a good time however i find it"  sounds a much better plan!
