Popular Post DivineMadman
A quick thumbs up review of a new massage shop in Bangkok called "Ganymede Spa." Map Line ID: Rubyricher Ganymede Spa opened two weeks ago near the Phayathai BTS station. It's easy to get to. It's towards the end - on the left - of a private road that leads to the Pathumwan Resort Condominiums. A short walk from Phayathai BTS Exit 2. Reception is upstairs, and the massage rooms are up another flight of stairs. Everything is very nice and new and tastefully done. Photos of the guys are on Line. It's a small shop, and new, so hard to predict how many guys will be available. On a Sunday at 5:00 one guy was available and the others (1 or 2?) were with customers. The nice young manager said that more guys would be available starting March 12. I was able to select my masseur from a live line-up (albeit a lineup of 1). But I expect booking ahead based on the photos shared on Line will be the preferred way of booking for those of us who are comfortable doing so. Despite the "Ganymede" name the guys working there so far are in that Bangkok sweet spot of athletic fit good looking guys in their mid-to-late 20s. Prices are a bit less than the more established top-of-the-line shops: 90 minute was 700 Baht with minimum tip of 1,200. 60 minutes would be 500/1000 The rooms are not large but nice and clean with massage tables w/face cut outs. Tall people might not be able to use the face cut out because the tables are not long. Shower and bathroom are shared at the end of the hall. Shower is in a bathtub, so beware getting in/out. My masseur was an older muscled type. The massage was outstanding/excellent. Very Strong,, started on the back and shoulders, which is minority practice over here, and just the right amount of oil used (i.e., not to much oil). And the oil seemed to be of good quality. Special services were very good. Perhaps it was just my masseur, or with luck it will be the shop's attitude for a while, but there was definitely a real trying-hard-to-please attitude. Masseur was in his briefs to start, but those came off at the right time. Shower alone before or after A nice shop in an area without a lot of other M4M shops. Perfect after a tough day at Chatuchak or MBK. I hope everyone gives it a chance. vinapu, fedssocr, santosh108 and 6 others

jason1975
Divine madman! Thank you for your report! Just in time for my trip this week!
reader
Found the place OK today a little after 3p.m. but was not open. Will be on top of list for next trip. With a new start up, better to heed DM's advice and call ahead. Good landmark to identify private road: look for small blue "taxi" sign and turn left. As DM says, nearly at very end. jason1975
I just messaged them on Line to ask about boys available tomorrow. The response was that they open at 1300 hrs
jason1975
Went to Ganymede. Unfortunately went too early (2pm) so only one masseur available. I should have sent Line message in advance. But in any case, the masseur who serviced me (calls himself X) doesn't have his photo on the shop's Line account. X is muscular with huge tattoo on his chest. He looks like George Michael with goatee. Decent massage skills. Strong strokes. I took 90-minutes scrub and oil massage at 800 baht. Started with scrub. After scrub, X led me to shower to wash away the scrub before proceeding to oil massage and sex. Toilet down the halfway has a bathtub so must be careful going in and out. After i was done, went down to pay. Saw the other masseurs slowly reporting for work. About 3 others, with one really handsome. Ganymede is arguably the easiest to find massage place in Bangkok. So so near to BTS. Clean facilities. Worth going. vinapu, reader and ggobkk

reader
I would call it a small web presence rather than a full website Definition from Wikipedia -- A website is a collection of related web pages, including multimedia content, typically identified with a common domain name, and published on at least one web server. Ganymede site contains menu of services, photos, map and hyperlinks to additional pages. Content is similar to many other massage shop websites. Don't know how much more is required to pass muster. stijntje
If you speak Thai, which I don't, you indeed have a website. In English, it is just a cover page.
reader
The menu and prices are in English; the map is in English. Do you really need an English (or Thai for that matter) description to understand this page? http://www.ganymedespa.com/page-35833.html DivineMadman and Tintinx

DivineMadman
of course it's a website and it's ridiculous to suggest that a site in Thailand can't qualify as a "website" unless it's robustly in English. Let's not quibble -- entirely unnecessarily -- with a productive member's post, which can only add a dose of discouragement. if you use google chrome browser it's also quite easy just to say "yes" when the good folks at google offer to translate the page for you. that's not so hard. vinapu and fedssocr

DivineMadman
I agree with your your comments except for using Google Translate which usually gives me translations which make no sense. i agree. on a separate note, i think whatever facebook uses for translate has been hacked, because I frequently get downright bizarre translations entirely unrelated to the Thai text, such as "I don't know what to do" or "I'm very tired." Perhaps it's just a sign that the translator-AI has become sentient.
Popular Post reader
Massage report for July 6, about 3:45 p.m. Can confirm all of what DivineMadman reported in OP regarding facilities and type of guys to expect. If you're like me, and can't get on the Skytrain without locating a handful of guys you'd like to put on your short list for the day, you'll likely find someone to your liking here. The briefest description that comes to mind: guy-next-door Thai guys in mid-20's. When I arrived there were three available and one greeted me with good English and a glass of water. He explained the rate card (1 hour oil now 600 and cream 700, the latter of which he recommended and I agreed to). As I judged all three to be about equal in attractiveness. I went with the greeter. Taken to a room on third floor. Boy pointed out that shower was at other end of hall and he left to shower elsewhere as it turned out. The shower is in a bathtub (jacuzzi actually). When he returned to room he had only a towel wrapped around him and that was allowed to drop to floor five minutes later. His massage skills were certainly adequate and he was eager to please. Not a lot more you can ask for. As proceedings came to a close, he asked me what "I thought." It dawned on me after a few moments that he was soliciting feedback on his performance. Don't think I had ever been asked that question outright before. "You can tell me anything," he added. Since he seemed genuinely sincere, I offered two points: spend less time on the legs and encourage customer feedback early on. He thanked me with a hug and left me to shower alone. Since there's only one shower, and it was being used by another customer (a rather hunky farang I noticed as he emerged) there was a brief delay. During prime hours, this could result in a queue. As noted above, Ganymede is easy to find and get to (20 minutes from Silom including walk from station). I messaged the shop on Line before departing and got a quick confirmation that they were indeed open. As I was leaving, a good-looking young man was just reporting for duty. Think it would be better to visit after 6p.m. for wider selection. TotallyOz, vinapu, DivineMadman and 3 others

Your examples are typical of what many of my Thai friends post on facebook in Thai.

Popular Post jason1975
Went to Ganymede this afternoon at 1:30pm. Last visit was last year. 5 boys available. Photos on IPad. All so good looking! Finally chose one guy of average height. His name starts with R. Went upstairs. I didn't want to shower so we started straightaway. R was nude from the start. He made himself available to be groped. But also good proper strong massage skills. I had picked oil and scrub package 900 baht for 90 minutes. Very erotic session. Only downer is the shopping mall music being played a bit too loud. Would prefer softer and calming spa kind of music (sound of waves hiiting the beach). Shower at toilet down the hall. Bath tub is slippery. Luckily there was handle bar by the side of the wall. After tipping R, I asked him which day he was going to work again. He said Wednesday. "See you on Wednesday," I said. 18past19, paborn, paulsf and 4 others
jason1975
I went back to Ganymede on Sunday. Same guy R who I met on Monday. In fact, he was the one who appeared from behind curtain to serve me water. This time round, I decided on milkcream massage instead of oil massage. More gentle. I got room 1 where the bed has a hole for my head. Music has changed to some singers singing acoustic cover of famous songs but softer in volume. R was handsome and so awesome with his touches and strokes. After massage was very fun. I think R will be my regular massage guy from now on. paborn
Around what time in the afternoon should one go there to see the most guys?
jason1975
I would say at about 3pm onwards but it is a boutique massage shop so not more than 10 boys in total. They have a Line account in which they show photos of boys available for the day.
paborn
Thanks, I did sign up for their line account when Divine Madman recommended them. None of the models shown have a name of just "R" -there is a Rich but no simple R
