NIrishGuy
What horrible person would order 489 buses without any thought to us poor OCD types who are screaming that that number ordered should of course have been 500 !!! reader
PeterRS
I fail to understand how 10 bidders can voluntarily pull out of a tender leaving just one to get the contract. Naturally it is a Chinese company! In answer to NIrishguys question, perhaps 489 is a lucky number in Chinese thinking!
steveboy
What horrible person would order 489 buses without any thought to us poor OCD types who are screaming that that number ordered should of course have been 500 !!! Maybe the people in procurement did run a complex algorithm that processed a bunch of statistical parameters, and the program spit out "489". These people then thought that it had to be this number for them to be right.
