Guest gay_grampa Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 I guess I'm not the only one on this board who needs to take Viagra (or similar). The question is: When do you take it? It takes 90 minutes to work on me and so if I see a guy I want to have sex with, then take the pill, by the time its taken effect something may have happened to make the sex not occur. I'd like to know other people's experiences because I'm wasting a lot of pills. It's not the cost of them, it's that when I take one and then don't have sex I get blood pressure problems for a day or two after and my feet swell up (go figure that one, doc) but if I take a pill and then have sex there's no after effect; everything is just great. Example 1. I meet a guy in a bar, take the pill and wait. While waiting I have a few more drinks, a very long conversation with the boy and all the spontaneity of the moment has gone or maybe the boy hitches up with someone else while were waiting. Example 2. This happened recently. I met a real cutie (I thought) so I popped a Viagra. While chatting and drinking I noticed he had a stud in his tongue Man that's so gross I nearly threw up. I went off having sex with him completely and left without taking him with me. Example 3. Determined to have sex, I pop the pill. I go out to the go-go bars and look around. Don't see anyone I like in the first bar, there's an OK one in the second, maybe an OK one in the third but I'll check another bar and maybe go back to bar 2 or 3 later. By the time I've decided which one I want and go back either he's been off'ed by someone else or I'm drunk. So when do you take it? Quote
Gaybutton Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 So far I'm still fortunate enough not to need it, so I don't know very much about it, but I do have a couple of suggestions that come to mind. The first is to see your doctor. The side effects you describe sound potentially dangerous to me and there are alternatives, such as Cialis. I wouldn't take it again without consulting your doctor. The second suggestion is to base your use of it according to timing. One thing you could do would be to spend one evening simply scouting the bars, making notes to yourself as to which boys you probably would want to take "off." After you have your list, the next night, or even the same night, if you know in advance which bars and which boys at which you intend to "off," now you can time your taking of the Viagra before even entering the bar. If the boy has already been "offed" or turns out to have a pierced tongue or some other attribute that you dislike, you can simply move on to the next one on your list. Quote
Guest MonkeySee Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Gaybutton gives very good advice GayGrandpa. See a doctor. When your feet swell up and you have blood pressure problems, that should tell you something is not right. You might also check the pharmacy for the liquid form of Viagra (or similar). This is a faster acting formula that you can take immediately after you off your 'boy special." By the time you walk back to your hotel, clean-up, etc. you should be ready to go. Check with the pharmacy or doctor about drinking when taking Viagra. I believe they do not recommend more than a drink or two when taking the pill. Quote
Guest buaseng Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 See a doctor. When your feet swell up and you have blood pressure problems, that should tell you something is not right. Good advice. If you are taking Viagra without a doctor's approval you are literally putting your life at risk. The 'climax' you are seeking may not be the one you were intending! Trawling the net, all the advice I have seen says that people with blood pressure or heart problems should NOT take Viagra. The number of ageing men I have seen in Thailand popping Viagra like they were taking Smarties or MandMs is frightening. Quote
butterfly Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Cialis works better for me. You pop one pill and you are ready to go for two days at least. Viagra tends to kick in quicker when chewed rather than swallowed, but I would echo some earlier replies in advising you do see a doctor. With those side effects it would be better to be safe than sorry. Quote
Guest rainwalker Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Kamagra (Sildenafil citrate) gel, available at most pharmacies in the Kingdom, can be taken sub-lingually 15 minutes before sex and be effective. That means you can chose your companion and take this drug on the way home or when you arrive there. Just open the package, and put the jelly under your tongue for a few minutes before swallowing it. It comes in orange, pineapple, and mint. Avoid the mint; it stains your mouth blue for a while and looks weird. I speak from experience on this matter. Cost is 100 baht each or 5 for 400. Bulk discounts are available. All the usually medical warnings are in effect Quote
Guest Nabeel Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 What's the cost of Viagra here in LoS? Quote
Guest Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 What's the cost of Viagra here in LoS? True Viagra is not cheap. Many of the ones you buy here in the Pharmacies are knock offs. Be careful where you buy them. I have not used them in ages as I much prefer to get them in USA to be safe. However, I do like Kamagra in the gel form. It is fast working and cheap. Quote
Guest luvthai Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 You may need to take the weaker doses of Viagra but also watch the drinking after taking it. I use the Indian viagra or Kamagra (?) as I found the viagra to strong for me. I take a half pill daily and I am ready anytime anywhere and do not have any side effects. Now this is only while I am on vacation so once back home do not use it at all. If I was in it for just oral sex than would not need to take anything but I like longer (all nighters) and need the staying power. Quote
Guest guyforguy Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Dear Grandpa, Taking Viagra with anti hypertensive medications can cause blood pressure to bottom out and a quick trip to Baby Jesus. The swelling in your feet is a sign of an inefficient heart an consequent pooling of fluid. As others have stated its time to visit your MD and have a complete work up. Once stable you can resume licking, sucking and fucking. G Quote
Guest slackersam Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 1. Never drink alcohol before or after you take Viagara. It both makes the pill less effective and is bad for your blood pressure. 2. To get it to work more quickly you can grind it up into a cig and smoke it. 3. Viagara in general is not great for your blood pressure, so be careful with it. 4. Ciallis, though more expensive, lasts for a day and a half, which sounds like it might be better in your situation. 5. Don't take knock offs. Spend the extra money and get someone you trust to send you Viagara from the States. Quote
Guest MonkeySee Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Nabeel wrote: "What's the cost of Viagra here in LoS?" I usually only buy the Indian made viagra called Kamagra. For me, I cannot tell the difference from the real stuff. In Thailand, last year the gel form of Kamagra was 100 baht per 100mg packet. If you only need 50 mg, you can take 1/2 now and 1/2 the next encounter. I have not bought the pills in Thailand in many years. I find it cheaper, and just as good, to buy Kamagra in Cambodia or Myanmar when I make a visa run. Recently bought a packet of (4) 100 mg Kamagra pills from a pharmacy in Myanmar for the equivalent of 47 baht. Quote
Guest slackersam Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Kamagra and Viagra are exactly the same drug. They are both Sildenafil Citrate. Quote
Guest MonkeySee Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Kamagra and Viagra are exactly the same drug. They are both Sildenafil Citrate. Yes, both Viagra and Kamagra use sildenafil citrate. Although some people believe generic drugs are inferior to the developer of the drug, or shall we say the brand name drug. In some circles, because Kamagra is made in India, some people believe it is inferior or not as potent. Having used both Viagra and Kamagra, I cannot not tell any difference. Quote
Guest slackersam Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 In some cases the generic form of drugs can be slightly different than the brand name form - because they use differen inactive ingredients. I take xanax and discovered this the hard way when my pharmacist asked me if I wanted to try the generic version. I said, "sure" only to find out about an hour later that the generic version has a strong laxative quality the brand name version doesn't. Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 It's always best to read the labels of generic vs. brand name drugs. Quote
