Hi Moses

I know you said before that Siam Tours are very “ choosy” and dont just take anyone as a guide.

Can I ask how you choose your guides, and how do you interview them? Is it done by Skype?

In person. Eyes to eyes. But not every case been done by me - guides traveling a lot with clients. So most interviews occurred when one of our experienced guides was in home city of new guide.

My testimonial of David in Hanoi

I was with David Feb 2 thru the 6th

David is a very professional, knowledgeable, caring man with a great sense of humor.  He made Halong Bay a unforgettable day.

David stays on top of everything and is sweet, caring, and a perfect guide.

I'll go back to Hanoi just to have David share more of his Vietnam with me.

David really made Vietnam come alive, he took me to some many interesting places and we were often the only tourist there. David's sensitivity to his culture made my experience of Vietnam so much more alive unique, alive, and energetic.

 Thanks to David.

Hello, we booked Will for a Day/Night tour of Saigon. Will was very welcoming to us, arrived right on time and we had the most wonderful day with him. His knowledge is amazing being a local Saigonese, and we were taken to a stunning roof top garden restaurant, then a tour of the Reunification Museum.

Will is a very relaxed and friendly guy, we so enjoyed our time with him and he can be highly recommended as the perfect guide in Saigon. Thanks Will.

I'm heading to Vietnam in December - Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi. I'd love to hire a guide in each place for a day, so I will definitely be in touch.

Can you advise on tipping? Are tips expected? If so, what's a normal range?

About tips: if your question is about tipping of guides, then tips are not expected but always welcome.
