I am seated now at Telephone diagonally facinc Jupiter 2018. Enjoying my pineapple rice dinner while waiting for Jupiter to open. And of course indulging in people watching along the street.

 

Arrived this afternoon and cleared immigatrion within 5 minutes - probably the fastest experience i've had.

 

Had some problem with hotel. Shall write about it tomorrow in detail.

 

Once i put my luggage down, i headed out to Arena.

 

One elderly Western chap came out as I entered. 3 Asians seated on sofas deciding on the guys to pick. The full assortment of Arena guys were trying to get them to pick them.

 

I sat down and had a quick look. I knew who i wanted. I pointed to a youngish looking guy wearing a cap.

 

Once we went up to the room and he removed his cap, i saw his closely cropped hair. Similar to those of recruits in the army. If any of you are familiar with the singer Drake, my boy's haircut is similar to Drake's.

 

His name is Arty and he is 29 though he looks much younger. Well proportioned body with large round nipples. His massage was heavenly. Tipped him 1200 baht. Massage fee was 799 for one hour. Found out that he is only working part time at Arena and he happened to be working today. Well, lucky me!!!

It is now 12:40am and I am back in hotel room. I had booked Glitz Hotel - a new boutique hotel a few metres next to Tarntawan. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication with the online booking vendor. The hotel management didn't get my booking from the vendor and as it turned out, the hotel was fully booked today. Hence, they brought me to a small hotel across the street hidden at the end of some back alleys. The furniture and aircon seemed new enough but I prefer a larger room hence I decided no off tonight.

 

After the awesome massage by Arty (that was how I heard him pronounce it. Actual spelling could be different), I went window shopping then had dinner at Telephone at Soi 4. The street became more crowded as the night wore on. Jupiter 2018 has indeed revived the street.

 

I went inside Jupiter at 9am. Only 5 customers sitting quietly and watching some Jupiter boys rehearsing dance moves to a George Michael song. They rehearsed three times and it was quite endearing to see them laughing when they got the moves wrong. Finally at about 9:30am the showcase of boys started. I like how they allowed every boy to walk catwalk. This gave customers a good look.

 

Unfortunately, they were all attired in Jupiter singlet tanktop and Basketball / sweat shorts. As they did the rotations, most took off their tops to display their muscular chests. Except for two boys who kept their tops on throughout. They are not as muscular as the rest. Perhaps that's why they prefer not to be shirtless. But they are charming. One of them got off just after the show started!

 

The design of the stage is brilliant. I was seated at the corner and I could see the locker area where the boys changed. I counted three times I saw three different boys fully nude when changing. There are exercise equipment for the boys to work out and some of them started working out while waiting for their rotation or during the show when they were not involved. The boys are really professional. By 10pm, the place was packed with men and women alike. By the way, entry is 280 baht payable at the door before entering. They gave me a coupon which I could use to order a drink inside. At 280 baht, it is definitely the most value for money show in Bangkok. The downside is that there were only about 20 boys on offer, which is far fewer than what Is available at Dreamboys.

 

I left Jupiter after the first intermission. There were 4 performances before the boys went up on stage for showcase. I headed off to Soi Twilight just to check out the other bars. To reiterate again, I had already decided not to off any boy tonight because the room i got is not conducive.

 

First stop was X-Size. Drinks at 400 baht. I entered in middle of show. 3 boys were in traditional costume dancing while holding lighted candles and the shape of their cocks could be seen through their thin trousers. I looked around me. Fewer than 5 boys in white briefs seated around. About 20 customers watching the show. The next performance saw boys banging their cocks against the metal poles and they started going to the audience for tips. It was my signal to exit.

 

I went to X Boys. Chief mamasan recognised me. Brought me to seat facing stage. Their show had just ended and the boys were standing on stage in their white briefs on rotation. About ten boys with the others backstage. Drinks at three hundred baht. Mamasan called out a Thai boy from backstage. He remembered I had off him last December and in March. I told Thai boy I couldn't off him tonight and gave him small tip. I promised I would off him tomorrow.

 

Before I went back to my hotel, I decided to pop by at Screwboys. Their show had also just ended. It was midnight by then, Drinks at three hundred and fifty baht. Boys in white trunks with blue stripes. About twenty boys. A cute vietnamese boy was smiling at me so I invited him over. Bought him a drink. Language barrier so had to use Google translator on our handphones. He knew only a little English and had been in Bangkok for one month so far. Managed to tell him that I couldn't off him today. Would off him tomorrow.

 

Eventful first of three days in Bangkok. Gonna sleep now and shall update tomorrow.

 

Oh yes, I bumped into Paulsf who was having drinks with friends at Hot Male bar.

I'm glad you got the locker room view at Jupiter. Four of us went Friday night and had that view. It was as much fun as show on stage.

for a gay massage, that price is actually average, senso, myhero and prince charges more. There is a list of price there. I think i only pay 790 for 1.5 hr oil massage. 790 for 1 hour is the price for aromatherapy massage. Cheapest massage is only 590 1hr for oil massage.

It's 12:50am now. Just ended day 2 of my very brief 3 day holiday in Bangkok.

 

Morning was spent checking out of hotel and moving to Glitz hotel. Check in was at 2pm so I left my luggage at reception, took BTS to Central and went shopping as well as had brunch. When I came back to Glitz at 1:45pm, the room was ready and my luggage was waiting for me inside the room. Room is big. No lift in hotel so have to walk up 3 stairs. No soap and shampoo in toilet so I had to buy from 7/11. Lazed around in room in afternoon then went for foot massage before going back to Telephone for dinner. The staff of Jupiter were hosing and moping the area outside.

 

At 7:30pm, I went to Screwboys to pick up Viet boy whom I had promised last night. There were only 3 boys and he was one of them. So glad he remembered our arrangement to meet at 7 plus. Paid off fee and brought him to my room and we had short time fun, finishing at 9pm. We went back to his bar while i headed out to Soi Twilight to check out two bars before picking up Thai boy at X Boys (another pre arranged agreement from last night).

 

Dreamboys - entry is 480 baht with a drink. 40 boys, mostly to muscular side. Off fee is 650 baht. Oh my goodness! I was so surprised when the mamasan told me that! At 10pm, Dreamboys was only 20% filled with customers. Last night, it was nearly full house at Jupiter. Dreamboys owner better think of something to fight Jupiter's 280 baht cover charge. He is losing customers rapidly. In terms of boys, Jupiter's 20 boys are more likely to get offs compared to Dreamboys boys. The catwalk at Jupiter allows every boy a chance to showcase himself. Some of them really strut as though they are models. The pockets in their shorts allow lots of poses. Somehow I find that because of the catwalk, Jupiter's boys have more personality compared to Dreamboys who seem generic. And by the way, Jupiter's boys are in singlet and shorts while Dreamboys boys are in white briefs. At 10pm, I headed to Freshboys.

 

Freshboys - drinks at 400 baht. The boys were sandwiched together like cattle on stage. 7 rows. Each row 3 boys. Rotation is quite fast - every 10 seconds. Variety of boys - twinks, muscles, even chubs. White briefs. About 5 customers. I stayed for 15 minutes then went out to XBoys.

 

Similar dreary state at XBoys, About 5 customers. Bar waiting for more customers before starting show. About 8 boys spread out on stage on rotation. The other boys seated or backstage waiting for group on stage to finish rotation and come down before they went up. White briefs. Mamasan knew I was there for Thai boy. He quickly summoned him. I didn't have to order any drink. I sat and waited for Thai boy to change. Off fee 500 baht. On way to hotel, Thai boy said that past 2 months have been terrible. Few customers. Off season. He works every day and doesn't take any day off because of few customers. I brought him back to hotel room. Short time fun with him ended by 11:45pm.

 

Somehow I still wasn't satisfied so I headed back to Soi Twilight and went to Classic. Only 5 customers. About 15 boys of various kind on stage. At least 5 mamasans and they are pretty aggressive in asking for drinks and tips but I stood firm. At midnight, the show started. Fabulous dancing and lip synching. Real party atmosphere with waiters and mamasans grooving along to the dancers on stage. It ended with a finale where a customer even went on stage to dance along! There was a generous Caucasian customer who was handing out 100 baht tips. The boys queued up at the end of the show to get their tips and as expected, the mamasans were also queueing up. I finished my bottle of Heineken (which cost me 380 baht), got up and gave 200 baht tips to two dancers on stage.

 

My top 3 gogobar recommendation for anyone visiting Soi Twilight.

 

- Jupiter (very polished and professional. 280 baht cover charge is cheapest in Bangkok)

 

- Classic (brilliant show and party atmosphere but you must be firm enough to ignore the mamasans)

 

- 3rd is a tie between Dreamboys (because of numerous boys to pick from) and Xboys (I am biased because two of my Favourite boys work there - the Thai boy whom I offed and a Viet boy who's unfortunately back in Vietnam now)

 

X-Size, Freshboys and Screwboys need to be better managed. Oh yes, one more gogobar on Soi Twilight which I did not visit - Hot Male. Might do so tomorrow on my last night in Bangkok this trip. And of course, there's Golden Cock, Nature Boys and Super A too. I don't visit Tawan as the guys are too beefy and buffed-up for my liking.

I actually preferred dreamboys show compared to jupiter as some of them can really dance and the lady boy shows is hilarious and quite talented performers. Jupiter boy dance move are awkward and weird but i find it still charming to see those manly guy trying hard to bust a move lol. Both bars are to my liking in terms of boy selection but dreamboys is expensive, so i tend to stay for the shows to make up for the money spent lol.

It's supposed to be low season and yet we are getting great bar reports from both BKK anf PTT daily, long live forum and it's contributors ! It looks like low season brings more fun ?

 

650 off fee at Dreamboys is nothing new but certainly new Jupiter gives all bars run for money.

 

Don't forget about BOY66 in old Jupiter location ! Perhaps your dream boy for  final day waits for you there, LOL

Often when bar hopping in such manner in order to avoid saturation instead of buying drink for myself  I buy one for mamasan, that way bar has sale and mamasan is neutralized.

I got to thinking that if Vinapu and Jason were in town at the same time we might need an express lane down Twilight. These two gentlemen get more out of an evening than anyone I've ever met.
