Anyone know of any massage places that have massage tables with a hole for your head. I have problems with my neck and find it difficult to lay face down whilst turning my head.

I suffer from the same problem as you but have found very few places have these tables.

 

I usually overcome the issue by putting a pillow under my upper chest.

I've never seen one. I imagine you'd only find one in a legitimate massage place.

 

In the places most of us visit, your head is the least of their concern -or at least that head.

The Prime in Silom Soi 6 has such tables. That's a legit place, not a gay full service one, though HE may (or may not) happen. OP doesn't state what kind of massage place it is supposed to be....

 

Paradise massage also in Silom Soi 6 has them, too, I THINK, but not 100% sure. Spa Bangkok in Silom Plaza has them.

Yes prime does have holes, though it doesnt have any face pillows, which makes it a bit uncomfortable for me, but still better than a table without them like in arena. U can always asked to change position from time to time if its too uncomfortable for u.

I wonder when will the massage be done on a table with face hole. Is it that we have to request for it? Based on the few massages (Thai + Oil) I had there, it gave me the impression that all the rooms have mattresses on the floor and that is their style.

I think Arena has at least some tables with cut outs.  Not 100% sure.

 

Prime is mostly set up for Thai massages, so most rooms are just floor mats.  If being on a table with a head cut out is important then you have to specify oil massage (and you might as well make sure to ask for the right kind off table as well).

 

Nowadays I prefer the pillow-under-the-upper chest method as the most comfortable - for me.

Ive always went for oil massage at prime and always gets the table with holes, but i usually went there early when there isnt much crowd. For thai massage, i had a few before not in bkk and yeah, usually on a mat or raised hard wood platform.

face pillow? like a 3/4 donut-shaped one to make the table opening softter? Yeah, but htose make for an even more unfomfortable position as it raises the head, or rather pushes it back, a rather unnatural position The same is in fact true of just using the table hole by itself, the head is somewhat unnaturally pushed back - normally when standing straight the face is a bit in front of the chest, but on a table with hole pushed back to be more or less aligned with the chest, which I very much dislike. Therefore, I use the hole in conjunction with the pillow-under-the-upper chest method already mentioned a couple of times here.

 

Other than that, I don't recall ever having an oil massage NOT on a table at Prime. Thai massages, by contrast, are (almost) NEVER on a table in ANY massage shop, but on floor mattress or platform.
