Guest lonelywombat Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Friend who has taken all his medications for his trip to Pattaya has just emailed he has lost his Ventolin inhaler. He has asked me for help. I am traveling and cannot get in touch with his pharmacy Can any member suggest where he can buy an inhaler in Pattaya this week? Quote
bobsaigon Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Maybe posting this on GBT would elicit some responses from the many people who live in Pattaya. I assume you're talking about the compressor machine that uses nebules/respules to assist inhalation. Quote
bobsaigon Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 If we are talking about a nebulizer, they are available on Lazada Thailand: http://www.lazada.co.th/catalog/?q=nebulizer Quote

I am traveling and cannot get in touch with his pharmacy Can any member suggest where he can buy an inhaler in Pattaya this week? Those little blue pumps with mini canisters inside containing Salbutamol? Hahaha, they were a part of my life until my asthma magically disappeared when I hit puberty. Boots or any large pharmacy should have them. We bought one in Chiang Mai for my sis so they should have them in Pattaya too. Can't remember the exact price but I'm pretty sure it was under 250 Baht. This is a fairly common medication and your friend won't have a problem getting it. No prescription necessary but some pharmacies won't sell them if a registered pharmacist is not present as it is controlled medicine. So best to avoid lunch hours, dinner time, etc. Quote
Joeblack Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Bought one from Boots Silom. Just need to have a pharmacist on duty to be able to purchase Quote
a447a Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Has anyone ever seen a Thai using one? I certainly haven't. Quote
Guest lonelywombat Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Salbutamol is the spray he is seeking. He has detailed medical statement from his doctor about all his medications but "lost" his spray. He replied to me and thanks for the info. He reads the forum but never posts. Quote
