Guest AkiraC Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Been to BKK few times already and going to join the WP this year! I've been to Babylon once before for party, but not sure if it is worth staying. I'm planing to stay there for maybe 1-2 nights for the New Year's Eve. Btw, I'm a 90's solo traveler. Quote
steveboy Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Yes it is worth, with many advantages for us who are more senior, advantages that don't take away from the juniors. Nice facilities with good entertainment in the adjacent sauna which allows one to spend there most of the time. The only negative is its location somewhat away from public transportation and other gay scene. I have no problems walking from there to the metro, to the Silom area, but if not good at walking one needs to take taxis or, less recommendable, motorbikes. Otherwise, it is hard to find a better gay place to stay. Quote

And have u ever join their New Year's Eve party? Quote

And have u ever join their New Year's Eve party? For a young solo traveler the best option is a standard barrack room, which is also the least expensive. Suites are for older couples who want to impress or those who make reservations late and have to take what they get. The barrack rooms don't have a private bathroom but share a large bathroom in each floor which... may have its own attractions... I have never been there on New Year but stayed there twice over Songkran and enjoyed their very good parties (which come as a bonus for the barrack and suite guests). Quote
ChristianPFC Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Btw, I'm a 90's solo traveler. Do you mean you are a nonagenarian or you are born in the 1990s? As for Babylon on special events, I don't like crowds, even if they consist entirely of gay men. I have been to Babylon foam party for new year's eve once, still only a few my type, and then more interested in partying than in me, so I avoid all special events that will be crowded. Quote

Guess I'll still book a suite for me as I prefer a private bathroom. Quote
