Guest ryanasia Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 So in my browser it basically says GT site isn't secure. Given the nature of frank discussions it seems like having a site that is SSL secure would be ideal. Quote
TotallyOz Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 Many browsers are not giving a warning when the site has http instead of https. Most sites are still only http but they are encouraging all sites to be https just to make a bit more secure. Quote

Having never owned, or ran a site, or my own web page I must admit I have little idea what you just said. Can you or someone please translate for me? Quote
steveboy Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Having never owned, or ran a site, or my own web page I must admit I have little idea what you just said. Can you or someone please translate for me? "Security" here means that the browser you use can check if a website it displays is indeed what it represents itself to be. This is important when a website asks for identification and password, for example. If one enters this information on a website falsely created by a hacker, such information can be stolen. Those websites that have "certificates" that identify them for the browser have an address starting with "https" instead of simply "http". In the case of GayThailand, this would be relevant if you make bank transactions through GayThailand, which is not the case. You should check that the websites of your bank and brokerage are "https", which the authentic ones surely are. Ryanasia must be concerned that by GayThailand website not being secure, some hacker may steal his password and impersonate him here. Hmmm... this could be interesting if the hacker is cute and posts some trip reports full of nude pictures and hot sex... KhorTose 1 Quote
ChristianPFC Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 For a change, I recently opened gaythailand in internet explorer (normally use firefox) and there the two models on right and left side are shown in full! Given the nature of frank discussions it seems like having a site that is SSL secure would be ideal. But everyone can read it, and everyone can create a membership account and see the pictures! The only thing that is not secure is your log-in data. Quote
Alexx Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 One potential issue is the possibility of the government spying on those users who are within their jurisdiction. For example, the Thai government can establish that user "Alexx" sent this very post using my internet connection, which is linked to my real world identity - unless I use a VPN. If this site had SSL, that would be much tougher for them. KhorTose 1 Quote
ChristianPFC Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 On chrome as well, the two models are shown in full! Quote
steveboy Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 On chrome as well, the two models are shown in full! Don't they need to have their pants off to be shown in full? Quote
