Hi all,

Just curious about everyone massage rituals, especially those who really enjoy massage by male masseur. During travel, i usually try to include at leaat one massage session near the end of my trip, or of i travel with others, will try to fit in when other people are going shopping. My first massage were done in vietnam, and was only for foot, done in sapa. Then got a good body massage in indonesia near bromo. First gay massage during travel were in hk, 2 times, different day, out of my 4 day travel, and lastly my trip to bangkok/japan, got 2 massage in bangkok out of 4 days and 1 massage in tokyo out of 8 days.

During workweek back at home, i started going for massage about once every 2 weeks, then once a week, and now i go twice a week most weeks lol. Once the proper massage and once mainly for the extra. Good thing the cost at my home town is still reasonable.

Well in the travel I voted every time I feel horny but mostly go every couple of days or so or if I get the urge I'll squeeze another one in between, never at home though

About once or twice per month when in Thailand. (For details name of massage shop, masseur, tip, see my blog.)

I didn't vote because "Oops! Something went wrong!  [#10355]  You must cast your vote in each question of the poll."

I voted 'twice or more daily '  , somewhat bending truth i.e. I try to go twice but recently when I become a bit more bar person it seems my twice daily ritual become more like just one a day   but it may change but definitely no day in LOS goes without me being mutilated at least once.

Never at home though, I'd  go bankrupt very fast

This time, I've cut down on the frequency of massages on holiday.

First reason is the oil doesn't have a good effect on my skin.   I would be interested to know if anyone has a successful substitute for oil ?     For my most recent massage, I picked up a bottle of lube from the 7-Eleven and had him use that.  On my skin, just in case there is any doubt.

The second reason -there is an excellent & cute Thai masseur within driving distance of my home.   So I get in 1~2 massages per month at home.   He charges £35 (1500 baht) & will not take extra.   This is very good value.

So when I'm on holiday, I prefer now to actually have someone in my bed, since that's something I find more difficult to arrange at home.

instead of having them their oils, buy a bottle of baby oil at 7/11 or Boots and carry it with you whenever going for  a massage.

Worked for me when noticed I start developing rash sometimes after fragranced oil was used

I don't care much for massage both at home and in Thailand. I've never rated the therapeutic benefits but that's just me - it's obvious that others derive benefit. As to the sexual pleasure I very much prefer to have the boys in my bed overnight. Beds are so much more comfortable than massage tables !.

Maybe once or twice per three week trip I will have a massage in one of the places near Tukcom.

LOL! Your body on vacation must be getting like playdough...

Most places offer cream as alternative to oil, if that makes a difference to your skin?  Plus as long as you know the masseur is actually well-trained, a thai massage can be as erotic as any -- if you find being twisted into a pretzel erotic, as I occasionally do.

I agree tables are not great, and when it comes to romping around really only good for a couple of positions, otherwise I spend too much time worrying about one of us falling off.  A couple of the full service mat/mattress on floor spots (in alphabetical order):  Bangkok, Body Club, Bonny, DM Spa, Hi Club, Men 101, My Hero =@, Prince, Seed Club, VCK.  At Prince (and My Hero) the mattresses are against the wall, so you and the masseur have some restrictions there, but it all seems to work out.  Those shops also have luxe VIP rooms for a price.  There's also the will-he-or-won't-he thai massage spots all over the place for mats, but not necessarily full service.

at home less often than monthly, but not never

traveling...depends where I am and what else I am doing. If I am not touring around and just taking it easy probably every few days in Thailand. In other places it depends somewhat on the going rate where I happen to be. But when I was in HK a few months ago I did 2 on a 24 hour layover.

As for bed vs table, I'll take a table 10 times out of 10. On a bed I have to twist my neck into an uncomfortable position that is not conducive to a good massage. If all you want is sex, then I suppose a bed is better. But if you want a proper massage I don't see how you can get one without a table

I also prefer table for massage but bed/mattress for the fun part. But u cant have both in that small room. But i had been to a certain massage center vip room that have both. Too bad they already closed.

From what I can see, it seems that few of the M4M shops that have tables have the ones with the face cutout.  So as far neck position for long massages the regular tables and mats on the floor end up being pretty much the same for me.  I've gotten to the point now that I don't even like the cut-out tables any more.  I just put the pillow under my upper chest/neck/chin and for me that's comfortable for lengthy massages, my neck isn't wrenched one way or another, and I can breathe easily.

The massage table i always have at my regular massage have the cut out for face and donut shape cushion for the face, and a place to put your hands at your side. For me, thats the best setup and i have no problem with my 2 hour session massage.

On a side note, this week, i had 3 massages instead my regular 2, because my fav masseur from thai just came back lol. He only come here on touris visa for 30 days only, so ill make an exception. He is a bit mature, 40 years old but great2 body and masculine face, friendly, like to tease me, making jokes and have a lovely thai smiles, and always laugh like he is shy. Last time he comes here was 7 months ago. He said he stay in hatyai freelancer masseur using online apps only there. And he is from chiang mai

Lol u need to answer when travelling and when at home. I see most people dont have massage at home

I stay here (Thailand) long time, travel and home doesn't apply to me. If you consider Bangkok my home and every time I stay in a hotel elsewhere in Thailand travel, it would be be once per month for home and every other month for travel.

A table is also where they lay down the bodies at the morgue.

Between being massaged on a table, or having sex on a bed, I prefer the latter 10 times out of 10.

I go to my hotel room for sex and to a massage place for a massage.

Quite often this would be at a mixed massage place, although I only venture in after identifying a cute male masseur outside. In these places, the massage is probably a bigger part of the deal.

Admittedly they usually massage everything, but I'm not topping the masseur in there.

So a massage table is comfortable enough for the purpose of a massage.

I don't normally comment on other's posts much, but sorry that's a super absurd comparison. You also eat your food from plates that are placed on tables, so you may want to change that habit, too, if tables remind you of a morgue...

on topic: I refrained from voting as the poll doesn't seem to be suitable or designed for local residents. To give some answer at least: massage frequency varies wildly depending on moods and needs, such as muscle aches

For your case anddy, travelling would be when u are out of thai and when u are in thailand for work, that would be question 2

yeah I kinda thought about that, but then still thought it would distort the result with someone, say voting "once daily" for at home and "once per trip" for travelling, no? Because the implicit assumption seems to be that "home" is an expensive country whereas travel takes us to places where things like massages are much more affordable.

Posted

Actually for me, massage in my home country is cheaper than bangkok, both normal massage and gay massage. 2 hour normal massage can be as low as usd 20 here. And gay massage, like arena/prince are usually around usd 35-40. And only 1 place where they have minimum tip, sort of, and the rest of the place, tips were discussed with masseur in the room. But in bangkok, i am spoilt with choices since these kind of massage is legal there, not so much so in my country. Many of the massage center are hard to find, with no signage, located on 2nd floor and above, with lock doors and security cameras near the door.
