Popular Post vinapu Posted December 21, 2016 Popular Post Posted December 21, 2016 In the beginning word of warning as tittle of the thread is a little misleading. I went to Cambodia without any intention to chase men, rather I wanted to visit some places which at time of my previous visit back in 2001 were inaccessible due to mines, impassable roads and lack of any infrastructure. Old habits are dying slowly so when opportunity appeared so did men in my environment, hence tittle. This time an inspiration for a trip came directly from e-mail in a form of fare offer which seemed to good to be true but turned out accurate. Only requirement was to make decision fast as it was expiring in a day or two so I did and as result flew through half of the world for less than 600 $ round trip. Thus day 1 of my trip started early in the morning with 1.30 a.m. landing at Swampy. Immigration was a breeze this time and exchange rates in the airport looked decent so I made smart decision to exchange 100 USD just in case since I had only 500 baht on me from the last trip , enough for taxi but not much more. Air temperature was nice surprise as well , arrival in BKK is usually marked by wall of hot air but definitely not this time. 425 baht including tolls , airport surcharge and driver’s tip and I parked myself in Nantra Silom. Decent , modern and clean room for less than 1000 baht always good deal. Did not go to bed though, instead went to Patpong to see half naked workers finishing packing up night market stalls and goodies. Always pretty sight. From there through darkened soi Twilight where I noticed still some patrons drinking at blackened Hot Male beer bar at 2.30, to BBB Inn to see if my favorite masseur Tao is still working there. Yes and no as I was told he just left yesterday for 2 weeks vacation and will be back only just before my departure. At computer in the lobby was sitting another boy and receptionist read me very well suggesting him as a substitute for late night massage. Sure. My 100 $ exchange at the airport came handy as price of massage was pretty steep at 1700 boy tip included. Curious I asked how much of that boy gets and answer was 500 which later I confirmed as being accurate, in fact is 510 which is 30 % of fee paid. Certainly it’s pretty expensive but I guess they charge for 7/24 availability. I’m glad I started my trip somewhat in style and after 18 hours in silver tube certainly massage was not waste, in fact enlivened me enough so we could have some fun with the handsome boy who was entertaining me .1.50 hr. and an additional tip of 1000 later I was seen marching through completely deserted Suriwong to the hotel to get some sleep. Not that I overdid it , three or four hours later I was up again to start my day with some planned chores-post office , some shopping, barber and my customary walk through Lumpini park but this time no familiar faces at the gym. Jet lag was catching with me so it was lazy day but late afternoon I went to Senso hoping my favorite from there Jack , author of funny phrase “ I like girls but I like your hand too “ will be there. Both mamasans recognized me or at last smiled and proclaimed “ I remember you” and Jack was there so we went for 1.5 hr session which was exactly what I wanted and expected. Senso and Arena are never disappointing me and I like Jack for his wit , massage skills and great muscular and smooth body. As said many times , straights somehow are working for me very well. Over tipped him with 2000 and still think money well spent. I always follow advice of not eating at least 2 hrs before massage so I left quite hungry. But it was dark already so I went straight to Oasis on Suriwong where they make one of best chicken with cashew nuts everywhere and treated myself with my favorite dish. Left restaurant at 8.30 , this is a time when paulsf from our forum usually takes his position in the HotMale beer bar and he was there. We had nice conversation over whatever we were drinking and then went to Fresh Boys for a show . Some impressive appendages in the big cock show making noises by hitting steel pole with their own one by using trick of hitting that pole with their knee as well. Nobody notices it because no sane men having chance of watching cock and a knee will opt for second option. Bar was about half packed on that Friday night. Distributed two 100 tips, liked look of #28 but at my first night in Bangkok my heart was somewhere else – Tawan, so left charms of fresh boys and paulsf with them and went straight there. Right inside I was greeted by smiling Alek, boy I took to Pattaya in Jun and Tiger whom I never offed long time and was hoping to nail him tonight. Show was almost over with 2 boys chuck wowing on the stage , tipped each 100. Ordered drinks for both boys and me, in meantime boys I offed in the past – Toon , Phet , Od , Soda came to shake hands smiling and of course offering their company tonight but my sights tonight were on Tiger. In meantime I noticed quite a few new boys , in particular # 6 looked great , later on he came to shake hands too. Hope there’s future here. Asked about Boy #15 , my favorite personality at Tawan but he went home for few weeks. So now I’m sitting surrounded by smiling muscular beauties with Alek to my left asking me to take him tonight and Tiger to my right with me asking him if he goes long time. Answer was immediately ‘yes’ so only thing left is to settle compensation as other expectancies are mutually known, we met few times short time and pretty much know what to expect – last December he was my best off on my trip which without any doubt I consider my best ever. Quote of 5000 comes, yes , sure what about my usual 3000. Not even 3500, 4000 minimum , OK , I bleed alive but pay. I guess he read me correctly that I was determined to off him and cashed in being third boy from there milking me for that much. In meantime Alek is doing his best to extract off from me on a basis that Tiger has more offs than him like I came that far to bring sense of even-handedness to Tawan boys. O boy , how I got myself into such trouble in my favorite bar? Am I sucker? I guess so it dawned on me. Now Tiger and me are leaving bar for short walk to Nantra, both happy or at least pretending to / I was genuinely happy, I like Tiger, he likes 4000 I guess/. Great company , great off, money well spent and than in the morning he tells me he needs to go to the gym like he did not have enough gymnastics with me apparently, LOL. It was pretty late but still morning , not even late morning and while I have high tolerance for monetary requests , I have low one for boys telling me when appointment is over. So I gnash my teeth , smile, kiss him good bye and pretend to be happy. On my way to Fodland Patpong for breakfast / Nantra has free breakfast but it’s basic one , too basic for me/ I check my e-mails in the lobby. There’s one short but angry from Alek proclaiming how disappointed he is with me not offing him last night. So day 1 so great through and through is finishing on sour note for me. ct2005, Vessey, santosh108 and 11 others 14 Quote

emailbroken Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 I'm sure I'd recognise Alek but don't know him by name. But not impressed by him trying to undo another guy's off nor him sending an angry email. Quote
spoon Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 4k is rather steep, but if its only one time thing, its ok i guess. Especially when the play time is fun fun fun Quote
ct2005 Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Is Tiger a good off with good attitude? I was advised against it. I think it is the tip he demanded that puts people off. Quote
Guest Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 4k is rather steep, but if its only one time thing, its ok i guess. It becomes rather difficult to make it one time if you keep returning to the same bar. Boys talk. Overpay one and they all expect it. For anyone on a modest budget, setting a price limit & sticking to it is probably the safest policy. For those board members on Bill Gates budget, why worry ? Quote
spoon Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Yeah, if u follow your limit, itll be better for your pocket for sure, but some of us might think with our penises instead lol. But yeah, if u are not willing to go with the boy demand, ud have to decline and move on to the next one to keep with your limit i guess. Quote
vinapu Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 U stay at nantra silom?..i thought u always stayed at high end hotel... me? no, I don't boost my self -esteem by staying in high ends, rather spent money on boys than capitalists owning chain hotels, LOL Usually every trip I treat myself with 2-3 nights in Tarntawan or Raya and even there only if I manage to catch a good deal- it was a case with Raya in Jun this year. Otherwise Nantra,. Malaysia, On Yim /now changed name and become hostel / , Pavillion Place or Take -a-nap are good enough for me with BBB Inn being top of luxury line as far as I'm concerned. llz 1 Quote
ggobkk Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 It's great to have you back as a narrator of experience. While, your comments to/on posts tend to be spot on, it's your longer form that pulls me along. I suspect that the boys at Tawan have talked among themselves and now have your "off" number and preference requirements on the staff bulletin board as well as their phones.. Then, again, I suspect you know that... The boys at Hotmale had mine and I'll see what the word on the soi is when I visit Screwboys and Freshboys next month. Your silvertube airfare is about what I paid to round trip across the USA last week and just a bit less than my mid-January round trip to Bangkok from San Francisco. Looking forward to your next installment... vinapu 1 Quote
Guest Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 After the deterioration & demise of the Om Yim, the Baan Silom became my preferred hotel. However, this year it was full, so I tried the Nantra. This was cheaper at just over 1000 a night. At that price point, it's an excellent choice with nice rooms, a rather basic breakfast and an excellent location. They have finally seen the light and installed room safes, although a very small size that took my 8" tablet, camera etc, but certainly would not take a 10" tablet or a laptop (I travel light, so no problem). Anyway, Vinapu is making a good choice with the hotel. Quote
steveboy Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 I saw the Nantra Silom on Priceline for 20 dollars (!) for the standard room at beginning of January. Free cancellation available, free internet... At that price, should one expect also free bed bugs ? Quote
Guest abang1961 Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Funny to read contributions to this forum by someone who visits Thailand probably once in a year or even more infrequently! Obviously it is easy to offer baseless two-cents worth opinions but to "jump" into conclusions without first verifying the truth is the same as pointless accusations. When I am just a 2 hour flight away and had USED and STAYED in various aforesaid hotels, I am hesitant to read review places based on hear-say basis. If one chooses to be bias, only the heavenly powers can intervene! Quote

There you go again with that Self Esteem BS. HeHe. I pay far less to stay at Hilton Sukhumvit then your budget hotels. Sometimes free with points and sometimes as high as 1300 baht plus much reduced number of points. In any case way less then you pay at Raya sometimes and many times FREE!! Quote

In any case way less then you pay at Raya sometimes and many times FREE!! It is always suspicious when someone brags about his "points" and what fantastic deals he gets with them. Points don't grow on trees. And membership privileges don't come without member's frequent expenditures. To accumulate points one has to shell out a lot of money, and the points motivate the receivers to spend even more money. A person with a lot of points is a person who generously subsidizes the points givers... ChristianPFC, colmx, newalaan and 3 others 6 Quote
neddy Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Well, hooray for you firecat! Not everybody has lots of points, of whichever variety you are bragging about. Quote
Alexx Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Yes, that whole bonus points thing is a shady line of arguing. Either you paid for these points before using them, or someone else (e.g. your employer) did. These hotel chains don't dole them out for free, obviously. Back when I traveled a lot for work in the US, I collected many Hilton points and could freely use them for my leisure trips. After the tsunami, the Hilton Phuket Arcadia (which isn't a Hilton anymore now) had incredible deals etc. etc. Then again, their airport transfer service was pricier than a night at one of the aforementioned hotels. Ultimately, someone needs to pay for the extra level of luxury. ChristianPFC 1 Quote
Guest Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Points are paid for, somehow & by someone (either by an individual or their company). So the true cost is not zero. However, in the event that I am wrong & it is possible to fly at the front of the plane & stay in flash hotels with points accumulated buying a couple of coffees, please enlighten me. Quote
firecat69 Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 If the bunch of you don't understand it I can't help you . In the last 6 months I have gotten 100,000 miles for DL on AMX offer, 115,000 miles that I can use on UA or any of their partners with a Chase offer. 40,000 miles on AA from Barclays by spending just $1. I will sign up for another 75,000 from Citi sometime next year and on and . You have to plan the buys so that you can meet the offer requirements which vary from $1 on Barclays to $5000 spent in 3 months on some Chase business cards. All those miles and point cost me a few hundred combined and are worth thousands in travel. Just for instance in the last 5 years I have stayed at the best Hiltons and Marriotts all over the world and the most cash I ever paid was $50 per night. Guess some of you need to learn something. Oh and by the way when I was accumulating a lot of points when I was working, I could care less if my employer was paying the bills. They cost me nothing and I got the points and miles. Quote
Guest Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 I just did a search on this for UK credit cards. If I spend £65,000, I can get a "free" economy flights to Shanghai. Maybe it's just the US credit card companies that will take a massive loss on perks just to get new customers in. Quote
firecat69 Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Can't help you. I believe Barclays is a British Company. They want to give me 40,000 AA airline miles after I spend $1. I guess since AMX, Chase , Citi are some the biggest companies in the world they have figured out they do not lose money. Otherwise they would not do it year after year. If anyone cares to learn rather then tell me I don't know what I am talking about here is a link to 1 Blog, and you have to go backwards and keep reading past issues. http://millionmilesecrets.com Quote
Guest Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 No one is suggesting you don't know what you are talking about. However, I am quite sure all of those banks will not offer US credit cards to UK residents & vice versa, so I get to choose from what is offered in my home market. What I will suggest is excessive inducements to take credit cards are an irrational offer on the part of the banks & will not be around for ever. No doubt someone has made a "strategic" decision to chase market share. When they find too many customers milk the system & are not profitable, the deals stop. Milk it whilst you can. Quote
firecat69 Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 I've been milking it for 15 years and I doubt it will ever stop. I know there are lots of countries that don't get those kind of offers, but luckily the USA does and I'll be dead before they stop. Quote
spoon Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 I did that same thing when i study in the us, hilton amex got really nice offer and i used the points to treat my family to a nice double tree hotelnin new jersey for our new york trip. Got a nice cheap upgrade to suite. And this was during my student year where i dont have much money to spend anyway. I do envy the US with their points deal. Quote
vinapu Posted December 22, 2016 Author Posted December 22, 2016 I'm sure I'd recognise Alek but don't know him by name. But not impressed by him trying to undo another guy's off nor him sending an angry email. He is good guy but unfortunately for both of us , too possessive. l, like you, find both tactics of-putting specially as we will see in few days boys instead of competing may be co-operating creating fun in the process and better income stream. Not to keep too much in suspense , I offed boy from another bar and he asked me to take his friend as well, few days later another boy who could't give me long time after short time was over lead me to his friend from bar suggesting that he will take good care of me and he did. Full stories in due course. 4k is rather steep, but if its only one time thing, its ok i guess. Especially when the play time is fun fun fun I don't mind paying as long as I get my money's worth but some things are spoilers for me , among them boy telling me when our time together is over, big no, no. Is Tiger a good off with good attitude? I was advised against it. I think it is the tip he demanded that puts people off. as far as off is concerned for me he is close to the top and we always had good chemistry but when I sense I'm being milked it's when fun stops on my side. I don't mind boys trying to get the best of deal but if customer is well known to them better tactics is to restrain demands than escalate them. It's different story with client which is new and may never show up again and different with somebody with proven track record of stepping in and offing from the bar night after night .At least this is what I'd think. ct2005 1 Quote
spoon Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 So do you think we should specify the end time for long time off? Say i need him to be with me until 10am for example. Will that work? Quote
