Massage adventures in Siem Reap

Recently visited Siem Reap and while massages and man chasing was  not on my agenda at all life run its course leading me to visit 4 massage places and here are my impressions:

 

BLUE HATHA / I learned hatha means hand in Khmer/.

Centrally located, two blocks from Pub Street. 6-7 boys on duty, similar format to HERO , boys behind the glass and you pick up whomever you like the most. Took my usual 1.5 hr. session with boy with broadest  smile at me.

 

 1 hr.- 15 USD , 1.5 hr. 20 USD. Only cold shower, shower alone .Mattress on elevated pedestal. Massage good, boy in underwear, removed at bit later. Pretty soon talk turned to boyfriends , marriage proposals etc. Shortly speaking  , hint was given that more than massage is available and will be provided on request.

 

After massage shower together , boy mentioned he doesn’t like cold shower but soldiered on. Tipped 40 and left smiling , planning to return as quite a few boys took my fancy but life run it’s course.

 

LINGA BAR AND SPA

In a small alley parallel to Pub Street. 3 massage rooms upstairs from the bar, well appointed, marbles , hot water , mattress on elevated pedestal. Boy was assigned to me from rotation which I did not mind as he was looking good to those tired eyes. 1hr 19 $, 1.5 – 26$, took that session as always.

 

Boy dressed in singlet and underwear , pretty soon my foot was positioned firmly against his jewels but my foot  movement was met with stern ‘what are you doing? ‘ just to keep appearances I guess.

 

Massage was good and playing mouse and cat trying to reach contents of his undies was fun but we did not go further than just those semi-innocent games. But I liked an experience, showered alone after massage, tipped 30 $ and left smiling . Certainly not as adventurous as Blue Hatha but potential is there for those who are determined I guess.

At river end of  Party Alley , extension  of Pub Street, opposite to a wat . There’s bar on a first floor and few well appointed  massage rooms upstairs. It looks that they also have a rotation system but boy who was supposed to be first in line was missing ,  guy on duty  tried to find him for a moment but said if you like me , you can take me. I did as he was tall and fairly well built so why not ?.

 

Price structure the same like Blue Hatha. Massage on a table, again 1.5 hr. course taken, showered alone which seems to be Siem Reap standard. Massage boy in briefs but after a while he made sure he was not far from my wandering hands. Noticing my interest asked ‘ you like my cock? You can have it whole night tonight if you like’. Certainly proposal worth careful consideration and after whole 5 seconds of deliberations my  answer  was ‘sure’.

 

No need to say massage session at this moment was terminated and since narrow massage bed was not conductive to getting to know each other better we decided to continue in my room. Off fee was 5 $ only , I guess so cheap because I already paid for massage and I gave him his massage tip as well.

Off we went picking up some street food on our way to a hotel where we were greeted by knowing smiles of owner and few tourists  congregated   in the lobby but days where I would be embarrassed by such attention are mercifully long gone.

 

We both did very well by that arrangement, not only spending three nights together but also upon learning that in the morning I’m taking trip to very remote Prasat Bakan he asked if I think he can go with me to which I agreed happily.

MAN

This is man only resort hidden in small alley close to Wat Polanka, kind of hard to find but if one follows maps from their website is not really that difficult to get there. From main street National Highway 6 there small alley with sign “Man” and it’s really short walk from there. Tuk-tuk drivers apparently all know the place and it may be the truth because first one I hailed close to my hotel knew it.

 

I went there with very high expectations as very name ‘Men’   says it all. Very classy place with prices to match, price structure the same like in LINGA 20/26 for 1/1.5 hr session. I was assigned boy, very , very good looking , not tall but God-like muscular so I was hoping for plenty. On the way to a massage room glimpsed amenities, pool, gym , few patrons, one with boy beside.

 

 Showered alone , massage on the table with well, boy in singlet and briefs and he stay that way for the whole 1.5 hr. course. Not even once  hint was given that fun other that just a massage may  be available so I had just that- very good professional massage by extreme eye candy but that’s it. Left 30 $ tip which considering circumstances was probably too generous but truth is I liked massage.

 

So in comparison with Bangkok or Pattaya massages in Siem Reap are not as adventurous but fun can be had as my Barcode adventure testifies. Certainly there room for further exploration and I liked all 4 places even if experience was not exactly Senso, Arena or Hero like. But after all it’s different country , different culture so subject of man to man massage may be approached differently as well.

$30 tip for a massage, with no extras whatsoever (if that's what I read) is extraordinarily generous.

 

In Thailand if the masseur in a non-gay massage place suggests a tip for HR, he usually proposes 500 baht ($14).

I think if you are getting HR in Cambodia (without much else), $10 should be satisfactory & considerably less without.

 

I remember getting a morning massage in Vientiane Laos that went a little further than expected. He stripped off and offered hand relief.

Realising my wallet was running low, I managed to scrape together almost $10 in Kip, thinking it's barely enough. That was met with a very big smile. On my next visit, he jumped out of the chair to ensure none of the others got to me first. Which was exactly what I wanted. ☺

 

 

Anyway, there is no harm at all if wealthy people choose to spread it around a little.

On the other hand, those of us who need to save for retirement can also ensure expectations are met without overpaying.

Actually I agree with you re: tip left , if was way too much just for a massage , I guess before I went there I was expecting and prepare to pay for more.

 

On another hand it would be beautiful world if  our well being on retirement  depended on paying right amount of tip for massage so I gladly  let him to have that 20$ extra as most effective way for me to save money would be just not going for that massage for purpose of this research or even better,  stay home.

You've summed up my strategy for surviving into later old age...when I reach the point of not being able to travel, the $$ I save will help stave off the effects of inflation and medical care.  Until then, I'll keep investing in the "charms" of Thailand...

I would echo what has been said above. I have frequently had massages in Siem Reap with hand jobs, and the boys seem happy to accept $20 as a tip for that.

 

I would add the two Temple Massage places to this list. Not gay, but have handsome boys. No showers, but hey! The one in Pub Street is $14 for 90 minutes, the one in hospital street is $11. Good massage and handjob always available.

let me add to the thread especially since Vinapu has been such a wonderful help on and off line. Got a massage at Barcode too. Love the room set up , much much cleaner and nicer than BKK ones (though I've only been to Arena and Prince). Massage was $15 and he was fully clothed. Didn't mind touching when near my hands, and of course got the "you want extra" and the negotiation of tip. Paid $20 tip so now total 40 and off came the clothes.  BUt it was at 5 or 6pm in the afternoon and only 1 boy to "choose" from.

 

Went to Bodia Spa the next day for a 2 hr session....while totally legit the male therapist sure didn't have a problem touching the right places, even if no HE. Total $50 was a blissful massage/scrub/cleanse in a great atmosphere. So enjoyed that too.

I don't know about others but I never ever discussed extras with anybody else  than boy in question , be it in the bar or massages.

 

While I like to be on good terms with managers and mamasans I don't let them to be involved  in my decision making process

In massage places, I always ask the mamasan which boys are bottoms. Of course I discuss the extras with the boy, but I don't want to choose a straight 100% top boy.

Couple of weeks ago a friend and I stopped by a gogo. My friend wanted bottom. Mamasan said him and him and him and him, they are all bottoms. My friend then asked the boys if they bottom. Boys said no and no and no and no.

Last month I stayed at Siem Reap to visit Angkor

 

BLUE HATHA

Located close to the 84 Hotel.

4 boys behind glass and 2 in front of the glass. 

Massage was good and I left happy. I would have preferred to leave very happy, but boy was not into bottoming.

 

LINGA 

Walked a few times in front of Linga. Boys seem not to be on the street, only inside. Very discreet in Cambodja.

I went for a drink in the evening, not for massage.

Nice bar, nothing special, like you can find in many smaller cities around the world.
