Current Expectations for Go-Go Boys

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Going to Bangkok and then Pattaya later this month (Christmas & New Years). It's my second time to Bangkok, first to Pattaya.

I'm primarily interested in people's recent experiences with average drink price, off fee, and short term fee. If anyone can share this, I'd appreciate it. Also, anyone familiar with multi-boy discounts or expectations?

Second, what are some favorite places in Bangkok that aren't in Soi Twilight or otherwise off the beaten path. I'm even interested in cruisey places that might not be explicitly go-go places.

Finally, for Pattaya, I haven't been, but would like to have a hot, fun, kinda raunchy time at the beach. Suggestions are welcome!

Thank you!

I don't think you will get a discount.

Silom Soi 6 (Super A, Nature Boys) and Screwboys. Now that Bee High closed, there are no gogo bars elsewhere. There are some Karaoke in Saphan Kwai and there is Inter-Mustache in Sukhumvit (went around 2012,2013,2014, not my style).

No cruisy places. Currently there is no street trade around Saranrom and Royal Palace (too many general folk day and night).

Prices in Bangkok here:

read the comments for current prices, they rise about 8% per year.

I recommend skipping Bangkok and going to Pattaya for bars, much better value for money.

A year ago ( end of November 2015 ) in Jupiter there were not too many customers on a monday night and when I asked one of the captains what will be the fee for two boys , he asked the numbers of the boys who I wanted to off and then went to talk to the boys . Names of the guys are Nikki and Sam , Sam was one the hot 4 muscled star dancers . I offed two guys for 1500 each instead of 2000 ( short time ) also the off fee was reduced to 800 for both guys . When I visited Jupiter in September 2016 unfortunately I could not see both of them on the stage . This time it was very crowded and there were lots of demanding customers , only 4 guys left on the stage at the end of the show . Probably a discount was not possible .

Thank you to everyone who has replied so far! :)

I should have clarified: I was asking about the off (bar) fee for multiple boys, not the individual fees. I've heard of negotiated discounts for multiples, and was wondering if others have had success. Honestly, a discount of 200baht or so isn't terribly much anyway.

This coincides with my experience mapping my previous visit to the prices you've posted there. This is a great tip; thank you!

I look forward to others' input.

TCP/IP

As regards the beach there are two principal ones - Pattaya Beach and Jomtien, which are separated by about two miles of a headland. The former many years ago was no doubt a beautiful 2 mile stretch of palm fringed golden sand, but regretfully no more. The sea is said to be badly polluted but you do see brave/foolish bathers. Nearly all the sand is covered by concessions who hire chairs under parasols for a small fee.

Jomtien looks rather better and is much more attractive and the conventional wisdom is that it is cleaner and less than polluted. Of particular interest to gay visitors is a sub- section known as the Dongtan Gay Beach, where older gays like me like ,to spend time often with their young Thai boyfriends. Up to a couple of years ago quite a few unaccompanied Thai boys used to be found in the concessions looking for business, but for unknown reasons they are now few in number. We miss their brown slim bodies clad in brief speedos. So it is not likely that you would have a raunchy time actually on the beach, where everyone maintains a high decorum. However close by is the Jomtien Centre where there are gay boy bars where things can certainly get raunchy although there are no gogos which are to be found in Pattaya.

Have a good trip !.

The off fees and boys expected tips are much less in Pattaya and lots of views on the amounts you need to pay are on this on this forum, though I doubt you would get very far negoiating with any bar on discounts for multiple off  fees.

In Pattaya depending what your loooking for perhaps consider talking to a boy in Boyz Boyz Boyz, off him and pay the bar, then have a drink with him on the outside terace (make sure you order the drinks out there as less than half the price of inside!) and get to know him, if you get on well and want to buy a few more drinks you will get a load of his friends joining you see who you like, talk to your new found friend and perhaps agree with him that the other boy meets you later, but to be fair to the bar and the boys suggest only once the bar has closed.

For something diferent in Pattaya consider hiring a private speedboat (about 2,500THB for a day with driver) and take a trip to Kho Larne - the beaches are great as is the swiming and fantastic simple seafood restauratnts which any new Thai  friend will love, lso easy to suggest the idea to your Thai friend, then invite him to ask a friend to join the trip (though can mean they just talk all day in Thai and you end up feeling out of it so be carefull!)

Suggest just get to know  a few off them and offer something on these lines, needless to say with your main Thai friend you need to pay the bar and his tip, you will cover all food and drinks and idealy any boys joining your little excursion will welcome a few baht tip also - but can be a great day out!

Forget the beaches in Dongtan, Jomtien.

Instead travel to Bali Hai Pier in South Pattaya.  Take the 30 baht ferry to Ko Larn.  The hourly ferry service leaves the pier at 0900 till 1300 hours (with a break at 1200). Avoid the first 3 service as it is stormed with many Chinese mainlanders.  Choose instead to go at 1300 hours.  By that time, most of them have ended their day at the beach.  The hourly return trip is also 30 baht and the last ferry leaves at 1700 hours.

The view upon arrival.

To think of it, slightly less than 4 glorious hours at the beach for 60 bahts.  Of course, the other expenditure to factor in include renting a deck chair and food with drinks.  Just make sure you get ready to walk to the jetty by 1630 hours as I was aware that the ferry leaves the minute it is filled up.

See how clear the water is.

So have an enjoyable day in your speedos/gstring/surf shorts and bring lots of sun block lotion/oil and if you are one of those who tan and burn easily, an umbrella.  You will be tempted to jump into the waters and brave the waves.

Abang can you hire beach umbrellas on the beach?

Of course you can ..however with the uncertainty looming ahead by the military government, anything can and will happen.

The hawkers and stall owners are more than happy to rent the chairs and umbrellas to you.

I retract that. I have negotiated discounts on the drink price (Classic Boys 350 -> 250 for a party of 3), why not discounts on off-fee or short time? But it's a matter of attitude: you really have to be prepared to walk away if they don't meet your expectation. Those prices are outrageous, and they know it. Looking at customer numbers, this is a buyer's market.

Off fees - my perceptions from a trip a couple of weeks ago.

Bangkok

- st 1500 - 2000

- lt 2000 - 3000

For Soi twilight boys

Pattaya-

St 1500

Lt 2000

BoysTown

Jomtiem 500 less

Never raised fees either by me or boy. I tend to to too generous and if well attended to add another 500-1000. Think that reputation then proceeds me in the bars so if they ask for a price they are likely to get less.

Think I'll be a tad less generous next time but each unto their own

Oh my goodness..

When I am having a vacation, I set a maximum budget and as long as I spend within it, I don't care how I spent it.

Same with you guys who off boys regularly during your trip in Thailand and other South East Asia countries.

Why should you be "cutting corners" and ask for discounts when you have already factor your offs and have plan for these fun-time?

What is a couple of hundred bahts to us?

Perhaps a decent dinner at Sizzler..I had this experience in the recent trip that two such visits to the restaurants set me back a total of almost 1000 bahts but I was a happy camper .eating as much as I could, enjoying myself tremendously and yes, the 2 men (on separate occasions) were the icing on the cake.  Sad to say, I was NOT their type and yes, we ended the night without any inclination of "your-place or mine"!

Be as generous as you can and the boys will appreciate the act and LUV-you more.... :mom:

Thanks again to everyone who replied.

Just a quick note for the curious:  I'm more interested in the protocol and less concerned about saving the money (given that the amounts of money we are realistically talking about are relatively small). I was more thinking the bar fee (not the boys' money).

In general, I really dislike the idea of not knowing reasonable expectations. If they regularly discount multi-boy off fees, then I wanted to be prepared to ask... kind of like knowing to ask for the meter to be on in the taxi rather than just accepting the driver's requested rate. It's rarely a huge difference, but I hate the idea that I'm being easily scammed for not knowing a thing about how it's done locally.

Again, thank you everyone for your replies.

Pattaya ST 1200-1300 is enough to have them chasing me for another off.

LT 1500-1800, ditto.

No doubt some in Boystown might ask for more.

Bangkok ST 1500+

Price for 2 drinks & an off has varied from 510 baht (Eros Pattaya) to 1350 baht (Fresh Boys Bangkok).

Polls are good ways to get answers.

How long is ST?

Typically between 30 minutes and 2 hours, although you should expect something in excess of an hour.

It can depend on circumstances. If it's late and his mates are going to a club, he's going to want to go.

I admit I have yet to engage the service of a Thai (or anyone) escort.

From the many conversations with guys who had off these boys, SHORT TIME is a sexual session that ends with ONE ejaculation from each party whereas LONG TIME means the guys had repetitive sexual encounters for a longer (probably overnight) time.

Apart from the 2 dinner dates.. I had other sex-scapades.

When I met that Brit man earlier this month in Pattaya, he knew I wasn't a money boy (how I wish he had mistaken!) and the day progressed from lots of hugs and oral sex, dinner and lots of hugs and oral sex again before we slept at about ten.

I actually made him ejaculate in the middle of the night..yes, something like 3 in the morning.  It was a mighty release that the orgasm took more than 5 minutes to subside. I must have done something right!
