Guest ryanasia Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 So simple question. I am not concerned about vibes, content or posters. I just want to know what people think is the best forum to look at. So pick your favorite and perhaps give a few words why. You could add in your opinions about which is easiest to use if you like. I haven't used the others as a registered user so can only comment on the aesthetics. I like Gaythailand the most simply because of it's warm color scheme. The Thai guys in the pics don't hurt. Quote
colmx Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 For me sawatdeenetwork is the "cleanest" looking forum Its so difficult to find the "forum" button on the gaythailand site - I wouldn't be surprised if they lose a lot of visitors who don't even realise that there is a forum... it needs to be way more prominent IMO Also for me the Bamboo scheme looks like something out of the 80s or a short time room That being said this board currently has the best trip reports Quote
Alexx Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 I like the simplicity of Gaybutton's board's design. It doesn't distract from the posts. That said, I can live with all of those mentioned, their design isn't a major concern. Quote
Guest DThump Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Ease of use is the most important thing but it becomes irrelevant if it lacks substance. Sawadtee has alot of visual substance but the forums are a mere shadow of their former self. Quote
Guest frequentflier Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Gaythailand is informative, best for me,Sawadee forum is also good.gaybutton too divisive. Quote
Moses Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 I like Gaythailand the most simply because of it's warm color scheme. Even when you are visitor, you still can change Sawatdee's color scheme at bottom left corner (watch for pullout switch labeled "Metro") - Sawatdee has 8 color schemes. Quote

ggobkk Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 I voted for Sawatdee as a the "best looking"...while I read it, I read more and post more on gaythailand. I first looked at Sawatdee when it featured "bangkok bois". Gaybutton can be informative but does as someone mentioned get into some circular firing squad commentary runs. Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Gaythailand is leading by a country mile. Quote
Moses Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Gaythailand is leading by a country mile. try to open it from mobile phone and read... Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Not sure what you mean as I access the net from a phone as well as a Mac. Quote
Moses Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Not sure what you mean as I access the net from a phone as well as a Mac. click this URL from mobile phone and you will see http://www.gaythailand.com Quote
Moses Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 This works great on the phone. do you see version of GT for mobile phone on your phone? or just a micro-version for computer? I see GT and SGT like this (first as a PC version, second as mobile version) At main GT site is hard to find forum. With mobile version at main page GT will have more newcomers. colmx 1 Quote
Guest Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Gaythailand is leading by a country mile.As might be expected, considering the poll is conducted amongst Gaythailand members. It's rather like asking Coca Cola drinkers if they prefer Coke or Pepsi. The poll result will be influenced by the inherent bias in the method of selecting the population. Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Considering it is the only forum that looks like it might have been made in this century. I guess it comes as no great surprise. Quote
Moses Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 As per me: I like GT forum a lot - it was first g-t-themed forum I found, I'm visiting it daily, also I count it most "newcomers-friendly". But when we are talking about "best looking" then I can't call GT "the best". colmx 1 Quote

Guest ryanasia Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Anyway this thread is only about which site looks the best. Quote
Moses Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Not really a valid point as you can set your phone to view a full website or a mobile version. Did you tried to do it? If you will tell me where is mobile version of main GT site - I will setup it then. Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 It's called an iPhone. You can view it however you want to. An iPhone will give you a mobile version to be sure. However you can double tap safari and it will render the full site. Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 The mobile site is by default. Anyway this thread is about which site looks the best. Nothing more. Quote

(Yup, I use Android phone since I need to to watch my sites as most of mobile phone users see them) Quote
