THE END HAS COME ,  THANK YOU ONE AND ALL

Hello again to everyone on this forum, it's me THOMAS . no doubt some of you could be saying "OH NO'  not him again with more drama. hahaha. but no, NO more drama or indecision.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a sincere THANK YOU to each and everyone who took the trouble to comment and post their advise and suggestions on my posts, regarding the somewat difficult  situation i found myself in with the young thai guy whom i had befriended recently.

When reading these comments and advise it was clear to me that many of you have been here in thailand for a long time and knew exactly all about  these type of situations, and the pitfalls that occur when things go wrong in m2m with Thai boys and all things Thai, that an inexperienced new comer such as myself  found myself in.

Over the last few days i have literally been bombarded with calls and text messages from him, all of which i had not to replied or answered, even tho i will admit i was so tempted to do so on many instances. However in view of and  me keeping in mind the advise you  members had given me to discontinue the relationship, to run , and cut off all further communication with him immediately.

His persistent calls got to the point that i had to keep my phone switched off for some peace. The frequency of him trying to call me was to say the least well and truly over the top.  i knew this morning  the time has come when i either had to give in and reply, or to do what had been advised to me , to change my number and move on. This morning i have done exactly that. But again will admit it was not and easy thing for me to do, and i take no satisfaction in having to resort  to such a drastic measure to cut myself off this way from someone whom i had really become very attached to.

Luckily i have 2 phones, 1 being a 5.5 inch android that i keep in the safe as a spare in case i loose the iphone. So getting it out checking the charge level off i went to the  7/11 for a new sim. As i was leaving the unit oops, i remembered i had not pinned the black ribbon to my shirt. ( i was not going to be the odd man out in this regard due to the current situation here) Once at the store i asked for a truemove sim and would they put it in the phone and activate it for me PLEASE. The young lady said something to a boy that was fiddling with something on the other counter and i noticed he appeared to not be happy being disturbed doing what ever it was he was doing.

He got  sim card packet from a bundle and said PASSPORT, i replied huh ! true move already have my passort copy on file from my other number. I showed him the photo copy of my passport i have.  NO GOOD PASSPORT ONLY. aaagggghhhh ( I don"t carry my passport around with me)

Apparantly the black ribbon i was wearing carried no weight so all the way back to my unit i go, getting my passport then back to the store again. Once again inside the same 7/11,  I see the same boy he sees me. He cant escape me, our eyes lock , he knows why i am back i see it on his face, and i see he still has the surly look from when i was there earlier.

He  had a good memory (if nothing else) i put passport on counter he gets the sim card packet.  I say can you please set it in my phone and activate it for me, HIM , "NO CAN NOT DO THE INTERNET VERY SLOW TODAY", you can do call this number inside packet to activate. ME,SORRY I DON"T UNDERSTAND HOW TO DO ALL THAT HERE I AM NEW IN THAILAND. To my amazement he picks up the sim packet and puts it back with the little bundle of other ones, and started to serve the person waiting behind me. Left me just standing there like a shag on a rock. ( I THINK HE DID NOT LIKE ME, hahaha , or maybe he got out of bed on the wrong side this morning) I put passport back in my pocket and left.

Normally i don"t use coarse language but this morning i needed to let off some steam, once outside making sure no one could hear me i mumbled under my breath, LAZY F***EN SURLY PRICK, SLOW INTERNET MY ASS ,  hahahaha  .  I go to another 7/11 not so far away and no problem new sim card and number, obliging young man takes photo of passport, sets sim  all up for me no problem , i gave him 20 bart tip and back to my unit copying the phone contacts numbers from the other phone.

I will spoil myself latter this afternoon and go for a 2 hour massage in jomtein complex with the handsomest boy i can see at the massage place i been to before, Hopefully i can let some of my frustrations out in one way or the other from the last few days.  I feel that some intamacy and play will get my juices flowing again to get over what i have done by cutting loose from the dissasterous events of late.

On Monday i am going to go to khon kaen to check it out there in lui of pattaya, I will take the morning flight and stay for a week. I am a little tired of pattaya anyway and want to see some other parts of Thailand. I wonder what adventure will hold there for me ? but one thing for sure is I won't be so quick to open my wallet for any more hard luck stories from needy thai boys there, no matter how friendly they are or how good they seem to be on the surface.

Thank you again everyone I really appreciate your comments and advise, and see,, I have taken notice and followed your advise, do i have any regrets ? no i don"t think so just at present anyway , hopefully a couple of HAPPY MASSAGES WITH A BIT OF ACTION WILL HEAL EVERYTHING. time will tell ,,, btw i have given you all a like ... cheers

Phew! I am so relieved you cut him off. Anyone could see he was a complete disaster. I was afraid that you could become an another case of a farang jumping off from his condo mysteriously.

Good luck with your adventure and hope you will find a nice Thai guy with a good heart in the very near future.

Smart move! Have some sex and you'll forget about him in a second!

Well done.   Good decision.

Android phones come with an option to reject calls from specific numbers, however, changing your SIM is probably a more robust solution.

I know one guy who just used his regular German phone number when on holiday in Thailand.   I wouldn't do that, since I want reasonably priced Thai internet AND I don't what to give my regular number out to a load of bar boys.

I usually just stroll along to one of the Silom phone shops on my first day in Bangkok and have them sort everything out with the new SIM.

The other thing I tend to do more is to give out my LINE ID rather than a phone number, since I believe the LINE ID has a way to block people.

Finally, of course modern phones can be set to block all incoming calls between certain hours.   That means I never have my sleep disturbed by a bar boy who is looking for a customer at 3:00 am.

that would be a case when I was not to be upset with.

I'm glad homtom put himself together , one less broke heart, one less emptied wallet

So few farangs listen to the advice of others with more experience. Most have to learn the hard and some have to

learn over and over. It's a rare farang that escapes without some bad experiences.

Congratulations, THOMAS.

I had the feeling that you would come through.

Maybe a first contact with being ASSERTIVE?

It should not be the last.

You know,  ASSERTIVE and COMPASSIONATE are not mutually exclusive.

Now you can be compassionate with any of millions of persons who are more deserving of compassion

than that Thai guy who wanted to feed on you like a leech.

I tell my friend, who has a character very close to yours,

that the English language has a very useful two-letter word.

which is:  "NO".

You can say it without any emphasis, even with a smile.

I must speak up as an Asian man who likes white men. There are many genuine ones who adore GWM.

I believe Thomas had been taken a ride as the amount of money disbursed to that Thai guy is way too much.

Take for example, a new smart phone from Samsung and Huawei should not cost more than The 5000. I bought one from a shop in Central Festival Pattaya that set me back by The 4500.

Well a lesson learnt and wish everyone here will find that elusive boy/man.

Wow, Khon Kaen for a whole week, I hope you aren't someone who gets bored easily. Congrats on your decision to be decisive!

I don't really get it. It sounds like he is new to Thailand and tired of Pattaya. But KK???? There are many other places in Thailand to go if you want to explore but KK doesn't make the top ten list. KK is where people get dragged if their BF/GF is from there. lol Just out of curiosity why did you decide to go there?

Staying in Pattaya and renting them one night at a time works well.
