Being a closeted homo in my late twenties living in Canada who just had his first breakup in a four year relationship,I decided to take a trip to Asia to take my mind off things. I was going to spend 1 week in Taiwan with a college friend who thinks I'm straight and one week in Hong Kong with an high school fake girlfriend who knew I was gay. Unfortunately she told me she's getting engaged and she can't have me moping around her apartment crying on her lap while her fiancé is going to move in so she used her travel points to get me a plane ticket to Bangkok for the days stated as boyfriend replacement therapy.

 

Being the (wonderful girl and I love her to death) ditzy girl she is the plane landed in another airport then what she told me and there was no light rail in that airport. and my plane was 1 hour late by the time I got to my hotel, it was 11:30pm and I wanted to call it a night. Luckily I took vinapu's advice and booked the Raya Surawong which was literally 2 shops from Soi twilight so I decided to go.

 

By the time I got there at 11:45 most of the places were pretty quiet. There was a barker in every bar trying to get me in. I was really nervous as I never went to these places but I also felt like a kid in a candy store. I decided to go with dream boy since there was a show at 00:15am. I got there and ordered and ordered a drink and sat around looking the guys dancing. The venue was only half full as the Chinese holiday came to an end but there were still mostly Chinese clients including myself. The mama sans there were not pushy at all and I had a good time. The drinks were very pricey at 400 a pop. I decided to off a boy no. 72 a built boy next door type and a very cute face the mama San told me the boy does everything and I invited him over with a drink to watch the show with me. The show did not really catch my interest, there were a very short striptease, a show with men in towels, a brief show with some pretty muscular guys in nude ( wearing a condom), a drag show, and a dance with what I assume is in traditional Thai outfit.

 

After the show the mama San asked if I wanted to off him. The cost is 690 and its 2000 for a short time and the boy did not do long time. With my own drink and the boy's and the tip I left behind, I was set back 3600 baht. I wasn't sure if that was market price but since I'm single now everything seems to be half price when I go out and I felt it was money worth spent.

 

I typed this out on my iPhone and I will try to continue this adventure in real time so try not to let the typos bother you. If you have any advice please post, I'm completely new to this so any help is appriciated.

 

I also have a few questions if you guys don't mind answering: is it okay to take selfy with the boy (clothes on) or that generally doesn't happen. And for a four hand massage what are the odds they will both do hard?

I think selfies are ok - but should ask first.  

 

4 hand massages can be tricky.  Some guys may be reluctant to perform with their co-workers, so the general rule for massages is true in spades for 4 hand massages:  make 100% clear with the manager at the time of selection what you want, and then re-confirm with the guys before you start. (Another approach is to off someone from one bar, telling him at the time what you want, go to another bar and together select a another guy to off for joint extracurricular activities.)

2000 seems to be what Dreamboys boys are requesting now so you weren't taken for  a ride but keep in mind Dramboys is the most expensive bar in the soi and in fact in the BKK so you may try other ones in the soi and vicinity .

 

I'm glad you like Raya, location is definitely most convenient for  gay venues.

 

As long as boy agrees no problem with selfies and you may even be allowed to take ones in various stages of undress as well.

 

As long as both boys will agree for  a 4 hands massage chances they both will be hard are close to 100% but as Divine Madman suggested , first make sure they actually want to do that type of massage.

 

My way of going about it would be to pick one boy first, ask him if he will go for  a 4 hands and if yes ask him to pick up other boy with your approval.

Day 2

 

After some lunch and shopping I ended up Chong nonsi BTS. I decided to go to Arena. I know there were mixed reviews about this place but I wanted to try anyways. I only had one other gay massage In Taiwan and it was more of a proper one. The plaza was easy to find and arena was tucked right in the back on the third floor. When I walked in all of the masseur were in a semi circle and I could see that there were two Chinese customers who were negotiating I can hear glimpses of the conversation and the staff saying "he can do everything" and pointed to his calculator. Unfortunately the two Chinese customers took my first and second choice. My eyes moved back and forth between the remaining two dozen guys they kept making gestures at me and flexing as I moved my eyes to them and it was quite distracting. The staff didn't ask me what I wanted and only how long I wanted the massage, the next thing I know I was already upstairs with the masseur. The first shower was alone and the massage was not really as proper as the one I had in Taiwan. The masseur mainly focused on my lower back and feet and it was more sensual then the former. The extra was lack lustre but the masseur was naked for the whole time which was exciting. The massage also felt short and I had only realized after I left and check my phone. Even with the showers it was only 75 minutes. To be honest though I was still quite happy with my first massage I Thailand. The massage was 790 baht and I tipped the masseur 1200.

 

I went sightseeing for a while and then back to my hotel and napped till 930. When I went into Soi twilight and this time the barkers were even more aggressive two had grabbed me by the arm and it took a lot of effort to get away. Before I knew it I was near classic boy and there were barkers there too. Not wanting to walk back into that area I decided to go in. The place was much smaller and the boys don't dance and kind of stand there. There was mostly white older men a young Asian couple and two other Chinese. None had a boy beside them. I sat for a while and the mama san asked me to pick a boy. Since no one else had any one beside them I held off as well. The boys here like less muscular then fresh boy but also younger. Drinks were cheaper by 50 baht but the off fee is the same. Short time was 2000. I chose a boy who was also the boy next door type. Compared to the one I picked yesterday he was slightly less lean but I liked it because he looked more natural. He only worked there for a month and wasn't much of a bottom, I learned of this after we got into the hotel. We talked for a bit instead and he showed me some pictures of his life and I found him quite interesting. He stayed much longer then the first boy (90 mins vs 45).

 

I know I'm probably doing some of the things wrong. I knew in retrospect but in the heat of the moment I didn't have time to react. Again, and advice is welcome as in staying for 1 more day.

The only thing you are guilty of...lack of communication. You mention things didn't go quite the way you wanted, but you don't mention you ever specifically told boys what you expected. It will go your way if you talk to them upfront.

Day 3

 

I had an early sight seeing tour that lasted till to the afternoon. I went back to my hotel to take a quick nap after a late lunch I was up and ready for a massage. I didn't want to go far, so I headed to Bonny massage where they advertise B2B massage and I thought it would be interesting. However they only had 3 boys and they didn't fall into what I was looking for, so I declined and and left. I got out and saw Bangkok massage near by but the guys outside made no eye contact so I just moved on. I took a taxi to the prince BBK and I was surprised how nice it looks. The guys were all behind a glass wall with a gym and pool table. They are all very handsome but a lot of them are older and much bigger than me ( I'm small Asian, I felt much taller since I was in Taiwan and Bangkok). The mama San asked me what I preferred and I told him I'm top. He used his laser pointer and made a few wave and about two third of the guys went back to the gym and playing pool or on their cellphone. the remaining guys did their flexing and waving and after a while I picked a boy that was my age. He looked like the bad boy type or a Korean Pop star. He spoke okay English and was much more frindly then he looked. The cost for an oil massage was 1100B for 90 minutes and the minimum tip was 500B per half hour so 1500B. He massage was also much more focused on my lower back and legs and it was more rubbing compared to arena. The massage lasted much longer and I left feeling quite happy.

 

A lot of people told me that the prince was suppose to be really expensive but I find them quite good value. For 2600B it's much cheaper than offing a boy at a bar since it cost two drinks, off fee, and some tipping runs you about 1300-1800. The boy will cost 2000 now easily moving the cost over a massage. I guess it depends if you want a massage (in quotations) or to see some shows and look at the boys.

 

I went back to my hotel to rest up and at about 11pm I headed to to Jupiter 2002. The guys there were less refined as the guys in the prince but they were too muscular for my taste the waiter there were quite persistent and hinted to me that they will close tomorrow. I left the shop and crossed the street back to soi twilight and went into fresh boy for their show, they had a lip sync, some neon glow ink where two boys pour on themselves, a guy holding an iPad with porn, and the weirdest part was a bunch of boys banging their cock on a metal pole that makes a huge sound. The crowd there was mostly white and another token young Asian couple again (they are different everytime but it seems like that's a thing now). No body offed any boys and I was about to leave but the mama San told me they might close tomorrow too. I hesitated and pointed to a slim boy who was waving at me. After a few moment of talk, he told me he was only top and I had to chose another. I later went with a lean boy with dyed hair and some tattoos because hey why not. He off fee was 550B and 2000 for the boy. I got away with not buying the boy a drink but I tip the first boy 200 and the waiters 50 each since the other customers left giving them nothing, there were 3 waiters/mama San. On our way back the boy told me that their king passed and that the venues might not open. I noticed there was much less music around the area. I asked him if he needed anything at the store, he said he needed to buy protection and some lube. I bought it. We went back to the hotel and he took a shower first. Afterwards I took my shower and I did the usual "help yourself to anything" he was the first to take up the offer and got a beer from the mini bar. He was also not used to bottoming and admitted it later and we spent a long time together. After we were done (ended with oral) the boy asked me taxi fare, so I gave him about 150B.

 

I have one more day in Thailand but I'm not sure if the massage or venues are open. The bars are easy to find out for me but the massage places I usually drop in.

while boys  sometimes are telling truth as what they will do, mamasans universally are liars with only goal in mind - to get you to off the boy but that is their job after all so I don't blame them.

 

It why I'm never involved with any  talk with mamasans only exception being Art at Arena which I keep in high regard when comes to sincerity. 

 

You are not alone in thinking massage is better value than offing boy from the bar if one is looking at short time meeting. I'd rather be massaged , even  poorly than saturate myself with drink I can get for 1/ 10 price in the store but I must admit bars have their  advantages if one likes the shows.  

 

I wonder if 2000 really become new norm for short time in soi Twilight or they sensed you are new to the game and charged you premium. Just curious since I'm last one to think that such a sum is poor value
