Guest Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 The US (& UK) supporting Saudi Arabia makes complete sense, since they have a stable dictatorship which pumps oil. Every attempt to overturn a dictator in the region has made matters worse. e.g. Iraq, Syria, Libya. So we should stop interfering at that level. Furthermore, I cannot think of a single successful & proper moslem democracy. Turkey & Malaysia were the nearest, but since the "coup" attempt in Turkey, Erdogan has used it as an excuse to clamp down on opposition. The coup looks suspiciously like a fake, to be used as an excuse to consolidate powers of dictatorship, in the same way that Hitler used alleged attempts to burn down the Reichstag to go after opposition. Malaysia hardly behaves like a proper democracy either. So, if there is a stable Islamic dictatorship that does not threaten us, we should not interfere. These people do not respect the views of others and do not deserve democracy. Besides, if they want democracy, they can go and get it themselves. If we in the West want to extend the reach of democracy, we should go after countries where the people are not fucked up by religion. North Korea, China & Russia are obvious examples. The European Commission would be another. I know Russia claims to be a democracy, but when Putin controls the media & executes opposition, it does not meet my standards for a democracy. Quote
Guest abang1961 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 OK some 10 years ago before the advent of gay businesses flourish in Singapore, gay men have very little avenue to seek fellow gay friends/fuck-buddy except cruising in shopping centres. Now like the 2 casinos in Singapore, we have at least 5 saunas to cater to them, not forgetting the proliferation of gyms. Life back then and still now is quite repressed. Although you can find gay men (almost) everywhere, gay men are still a very small minority. In Singapore, if you find a handsome/hunky man, it is highly likely that he is GAY. Straight men gain weight over the years but gay men continued their fitness regime despite aging. Thailand, especially Bangkok, is a heaven on earth to most gay men from Singapore, The return flight is very inexpensive and the nightlife is splendid. Also I reckon the Arabs are the same. No chance to fulfill the full homosexual potential until they "discovered" the joy i n Thailand. They simply release their pent-up frustrations/emotions/cums in Pattaya. Quote

TotallyOz Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I do not dispute what is in the post. Just curious especially about the Mecca part. I realise that travel in and out of the country is probably easy if the paperwork for visas is in order and you do not add Israel on one of your trips. But getting into Mecca for a non Muslim is strictly forbidden and there are passport/permit control points on every access road requiring all to show proof being a muslim before entering. I was told that before getting the visa to enter Saudi Arabia a declaration of religion is required. If a Muslim enters from a non Islam country proof of religion and the sect the applicant belongs to has to be provided in letter form with the stamp and signature of an Imam. This info is then included on the visa and is checked everywhere. I am sure guys with the right connection can probably do anything in that country. But even non-muslim ambassadors cant get access to Mecca. It must be an amazing place to visit. Peter, I had friends from UK and they were both Muslim and they did not need a declaration. I don't know what the requirements are to be honest regarding declaring before you enter. However, to become Muslim is very simple. You state in front of an Iman that you believe that Mohamed is the prophet (or something to that effect) and you can get a paper that allows you to enter Mecca. Quote

And they took you, a non-Muslim, to Mecca, while they are fully aware non-Muslims can not enter? They took this risk in a country like Saudi Arabia. I can only believe this if these friends are part of the royal family. Else why risk your live, because I am sure if a non-Muslim is caught in Mecca it will not end well. If the state doesn't kill you there will be enough volunteers. You come over as a person who takes many irresponsible risks (gay sex in Saudi Arabia was another one). Probably because until now you got away with it. If you grow up taking risks and you end up getting away with it each time, I can understand that as an adult you just not think twice anymore. You have not experienced the negatives of taking risks. There must be something wrong with the Universe. I mean in a fair and just world you should be death. As 99% of people will be who take the risks you do, they end up being death. Yet you keep surviving these risks. Live is unfair. I not wish you death, just wondering how you keep surviving these risks. What you go do next? Walk with a "Mohammed is a liar and you are dumb to believe in him" t-shirt through Mecca? I think you will survive (everyone else will die when they do it, but I have a good feeling you will survive this). Go do it. Go do it now. Quote

I am very good at blending in. Perhaps I should not take risks at all and just move to Pattaya and go to bars every night hoping to find that one Thai boy that will love me for me and not my money. LOL No, I think we all take risks. I am just a bit more interested in learning more about the world and people from different parts of the world than some. I don't denigrate them at all. And, I don't denigrate you either. But, you are on a gay board about gay guys in Thailand. I assume you know the risk you take by hiring a boy here as prostitution is illegal? I assume you know the risk of contracting diseases as many of the boys have more multiple partners a year than countries I have visited? We all take risks daily. paulsf, DivineMadman and Alexx 3 Quote

I assume you know the risk you take by hiring a boy here as prostitution is illegal? I assume you know the risk of contracting diseases as many of the boys have more multiple partners a year than countries I have visited? There is no risk. Thailand does not enforce that law, so there is no risk. And if they start enforcing, it will be a money penalthy or short jail term. It is not risking your live. And if you use a condom (which most Farangs do who have multiple sex partners) you not take risks. Besides most Farangs are top and the top has the least risk when fucking without condom. The risk is with the bottom. Both can not at all be compared to the levels of risk taking you do. Why do you not put on a t-shirt with the text "The prophet Mohammed is currently burning in hell" and walk wearing it clearly visible in any Muslim country? See what happens. Why will you not do that? I mean you travel as a non-Muslim to Mecca and have gay sex in Saudi Arabia, so why not do the first? Quote

But, if you truly believe the above (and I assume you do) then we have nothing more to discuss. Can you please show me what you think is naieve? Almost every Farang uses condoms, that reduces risk to virually zero. If you want less risk you have to stop having sex. There is no other way. Also it is true that the bottom has more risk catching HIV when doing bareback fucking, than the top. Look it up. I did not say the top has no risk, I say the risk is far more with the bottom. Which is true! I truly fail to see the naievity. But your two examples can not be compared at all to the risks you are taking. If you use a condom - which most do - the risk is gone and Thailand does not enrforce the prostitution law. I do notice you not answer this question: Why do you not put on a t-shirt with the text "The prophet Mohammed is currently burning in hell" and walk wearing it clearly visible in any Muslim country? See what happens. Why will you not do that? I mean you travel as a non-Muslim to Mecca and have gay sex in Saudi Arabia, so why not do the first? When you wake up each morning do you do a leap of joy when you realize life is unfair? I mean that fact is the only reason you are still alive. I on the other hand feel sad each time I realize that life is unfair. For you it must be the other way around. Your smile must be very big. Such a risk taking and each time you get away with it. Amazing. Gay sex in Saudi Arabia and getting away with it. As non-Muslim travel to Mecca and getting away with it. Quote

But your two examples can not be compared at all to the risks you are taking. If you use a condom - which most do - the risk is gone and Thailand does not enrforce the prostitution law. Let's set 2 things in perspective: - you say most farang use condom, let me tell you that's an assumption in which you are very very wrong. Most used to use a condom in the beginning of HIV/AIDS, but with meds being there for HIV infected people, a lot of Farangs think they can do without as the risk is low and their are meds in case they get infected. Studies show a majority of men stopped using condoms because of this, even for one-night-stands. (Personally I think it's very stupid and for me a condom is a must.) - the bottom is at risk, the top much less. Well the bottom has a bit of a higher risk, but if a top fucks an infected bottom, the risk stays quite high and its defeniatly a no no. I'm thinking you wouldn't take the risk to fuck a bottom bare if you knew he was infected....? - add to this, we are only speaking of HIV/AIDS now, let's not forget all other STD's. So risk for one doesn't have to be as risky for someone else. I would keep away from both, being going bare (except with they boyfriend) and the Muslim topic. ;-) Quote
abidismaili Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 Yes it is true that medicins have made HIV a chronic disease and not a death penalthy anymore, which indeed for many Farang is the reason to stop all together with condoms. Depends on the situation if this is wise or not. Very unwise in Africa for example. But what Michael did in Saudi Arabia is almost unbelievable. If he is telling the truth than he took big big risks. But the Universe is on his side. I think he will even survive the anti-Mohammed t-shirt wearing action. Maybe he is God? Can it be? :-) PeterRS 1 Quote

I frankly doubt becoming a Muslim is anything as simple as that! Its the passport you need to enter Mecca. The paper from the Imam is only proof for the Saudi visa people that you are in fact a practising Muslim from some sect or other and thats what goes into the passport. The paper isnt needed when entering Mecca. The passport very definitely is unless you are a Saudi citizen. But some guys are luckier than others when they're prepared to take risks of that sort. You doubt a lot Peter. What does getting divorce in that country take? Find out how easy that is and then maybe you will say, Michael is right, it is easy. Passports are only checked for Haij and other visitors. If you have an Iquama (Saudi ID Card for Foreigners) you never take your passport anywhere. Quote
