Guest cdnmatt Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 And being a customer in a Thai go-go bar corrupts the moral compass of that person? No, we're the young Adonis arriving on a pillow of cloud, riding a white flying unicorn, and are there to save all the workers. Quote

Guest cdnmatt Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 What a relief! My moral compass has been spinning like a top ever since reading your earlier post. Not a problem! Glad we didn't have to get into a discussion about the difference between buying ass on holiday, and selling your ass all year around to whoever has money. That would have been awkward. Quote
Guest 2guys Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Speaking of setting differents standards and morals... For me buyer and seller are both having ethics and moral cruppeled. I don't know why the boys have to be set in negative daylight, without the clients they wouldn't be doing this. Quote

I don't know why the boys have to be set in negative daylight, without the clients they wouldn't be doing this. For me, buyer and seller are having the same ethical and moral standards. I would view the ethics as on par with any other commercial transaction, perfectly acceptable. And of much higher moral standing than activities such as teaching religion in schools. The only corrupting of moral compasses is circulating with other bar boys probably leads to higher than normal drug use (amongst the suppliers, not the clients), however that is completely optional and many seem to mange without & remain as nice balanced young gentlemen. Popular Post KhorTose Posted August 31, 2016 Popular Post Posted August 31, 2016 Philippines author Emita Sonil Jose talking to a female prostitute. “The obscenities of this country are not girls like you. It is the poverty which is obscene, and the criminal irresponsibility of the leaders who make this poverty a deadening reality. The obscenities in this country are the places of the rich, the new hotels made at the expense of the people, the hospitals where the poor die when they get sick because they don't have the money either for medicines or services. It is only in this light that the real definition of obscenity should be made.” faranglaw, kokopelli, firecat69 and 4 others 7 Quote

firecat69 Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Ummm .... you REALLY have to ask such a question? Due diligence. Of course I have to ask it . Since the majority of sex workers now probably come from the apps . I have had money visits from boys working for Marriott, Hilton, K Bank , Bangkok Bank etc etc etc. Some of them previously worked in a Bar or Massage Parlor although I will admit not for years. Do yo think they don't do their due diligence. What did you do walk down Soi Twilight with photos asking all the Bar managers if the boy ever worked for them. How many University students do you think have worked in the Sex Industry. I don't for a minute believe that your due diligence was always successful. I also don't believe that all short time or part time Sex Workers are unable to be successful in your company. I do believe you can sort out boys that have never gone to school or worked anywhere except the Sex Industry. After those you have no idea about the rest. However I do believe you do increase your chances of success with due diligence but not for a minute do I believe that you are always successful in weeding out boys who at some time worked in the Sex Industry. faranglaw 1 Quote
Alexx Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Yes good point firecat69, while "Bar Boy English" is quite distinct and easily recognized, those who have never worked in a bar and just freelance pass that test. Years ago I'd have said that's the #1 giveaway, but it's not that easy anymore. Quote
Guest Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 However I do believe you do increase your chances of success with due diligence but not for a minute do I believe that you are always successful in weeding out boys who at some time worked in the Sex Industry. I don't think any one was claiming 100% success at picking people who have never worked in the ex industry., There was a statement that someone doesn't recruit people from that industry. Most people would take that more as a generalisation, rather than a claim that they are 100% successful in NEVER recruiting people who have EVER worked in the sex industry. As usual you will continue harassing the poster for not meeting your unique interpretation of what is written. However, I don't think that is his problem. Quote
firecat69 Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Evidently most people don't. Try reading the above posts. It certainly was a generalization. He did not say he thought most of his hires did not come from the Sex Industry . He flat out said they did not. He made a flat out statement that he used due diligence, he did not say he tried to screen his employees the best he could, rather he used due diligence and none them came from that background. If you think that is harassing , try getting a dictionary. This is a discussion Forum and you or nobody else gets to make the rules. Quote
Brummbaer Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 I know grad students and even one post grad supplementing their income in Vienna as "escorts" and I believe having read one of the boys Numazu described in his trip report had a degree. You find all sorts of guys in the sex industry. Quote

faranglaw Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 I praised the public bus system many times to Thai friends, usual answers are: too slow, too hot, too much walking, too lo-so, I have never used a bus before and I don't know how to use them, often accompanied by a look "are you crazy?". Most Americans I know would give the same answers. Quote

Matthew 7:1 Matt, take please take note of this quote by Matthew! I"m sure that fella Jesus will be livid that after 2000 years people are still attributing some of his best lines to his underlings - especially when this was him giving the big finale to his "Sermon on the Mount" gig, Matthew alas was merely reporting on JC's alleged comments - but as most of it probably never "actually" happened anyway The good news is that I doubt Jesus will sue. kokopelli Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 God will get you for that, NIrishGuy. Maude Matthew attributed the words he wrote to Jesus; never claimed them for himself. Very Boswelliam of him. So, if it never happened then Jesus never existed, Matthew never existed, the Bible was never written and on and on and perhaps cdnmatt actually never existed other than as an on-line personna. Quote
NIrishGuy Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 God will get you for that, NIrishGuy. Maude Ha I'm sure I'll be fine. I stopped worrying about crazy spooky tales about things that go bump in the night and about invisible beings floating in the clouds looking down on us and seeing "everything" and all just made up to frighten us and keep me in line a long time ago now :-) Jesus on the other hand I'm happy to concede most probably existed and he must have been one hell of a charismatic guy to get people talking about him as they did and still do. But as for all the other stuff about him whizzing off to "heaven" on the backs of pink unicorns or whatever nonsense was written / made up at the time about that, then no, I think I'll pass on all of that thanks - but hey for whose who choose to believe, knock yourselves out, just don't be offended that I choose not perhaps. Amen and peace brother - And pass the Dutchie from the left hand side ! ( Musical Youth 1982 ) :-) kokopelli 1 Quote

NIrishGuy Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Just lets not talk about that apprentice Judas who went along with the Romans campaign to instigate a fair staff minimum wage policy, where he reported his boss Jesus just in order to collect the Romans 30 pieces of silver - and MAN those Romans must have really taken workers rights seriously in those days as I heard that they really crucified that guy Jesus over that ! :-) Quote
