Guest Qualityonly Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 I had a few "qoutes" if you can call them that from boys on the meeting apps. Whilst most are in the 1000 baht range for ST some have qouted high as 3,000 . I take it is a way to say they are not compatatible with me which Im not offended. I also am cautious of too low prices, qoutations of 500 baht etc. A few farang boys I think maybe European have messaged me with prices of 5,000 baht which I expect from them. Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Just say no. It is a buyers market they are just testing the waters. Quote
Guest Qualityonly Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 I dont know maybe they are busy,I just had one accept but decline because theres no parking around my Hotel he says. He only looked a young twink too. Quote

Guest Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 The last time I had a 3000 GR quote, I countered with 1000 & he accepted without further negotiation. In Bangkok. You have nothing to lose by negotiating, other than 2 minutes of your time. Quote
bucknaway Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Just tell them "Thank you for letting me know" They tend to reply that if it is too much they can accept less. Even the non-thai tend to say the same thing. Quote
vinapu Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 quoting too much may be polite way of saying they are not interested or they can't meet you today, so OP may be correct in his suspicion of non-compatibility. Numazu in his recent thread had story of boy who quoted him 5000 for long time and when he declined , boy said that he couldn't do long time due to some commitments in the morning, hope I remember it correctly. It works both way - counteroffer way too low may signalize to a boy that you changed mind and are not interested anymore. Market economy - negotiate price to a level acceptable to both. Don't get discouraged if boy declined today, next day he may be interested in you and your offer. Quote
Travellerdave Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Some boys quote a reasonable price for short time but a sky high one for long such as 5000. That's fair enough in that they don't want to spend the night in a customers bed. Quote
Londoner Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 In my two decades of visits to Pattaya I cannot recall a single time that I was told by a potential "off" at a bar how much he wanted. And in that same period, only once was my payment after the meeting (always just a little above average) met with disappointment. Very rarely, a potential Planet Romeo guy has asked how much I'll pay. An offer of 1000 bht has always secured a visit. These are short-time prices of course; Traveller Dave is probably correct. paulsf 1 Quote
