Guest Qualityonly Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 So what is the go to hotel to pick up staff? Let's get back on topic. My preference is the 5 Star Hotels. The Bellboys in particular look like young University Students maybe working part time particularly in Bangkok. Young fresh fit looking young lads. I dont know what it is,Im seem to have a fetish for Bellboys lately. Quote
vinapu Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 So what is the go to hotel to pick up staff? Let's get back on topic. I said this before and repeat again, stay away from staff of the hotel you are staying even if he makes signals. You may have fun and he may have fun but there's great danger such a liaison may put his employment in jeopardy. And by the way, nothing wrong with topics being derailed, forum is not business meeting , rather is like conversation in social setting starting with accolades of how good meal is and ending agreeing that our bosses are really stupid Quote
Gaybutton Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I said this before and repeat again, stay away from staff of the hotel you are staying even if he makes signals. Not me. And especially not me if he makes signals. Of course I'm not insensitive enough to do anything that would put his job in jeopardy. Some hotels couldn't care less while others would fire him immediately if he came to my room for any reason other than normal hotel business. In that circumstance if he really is interested I would arrange to meet him somewhere other than the hotel during his non-working hours and if things go any further than saying hello, if we go to another hotel, a short time room, his room, or anywhere other than the hotel where I'm staying, what's the problem? Travellerdave Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 A few years ago I decided to stay a few days in Bkk before spending the bulk of my trip in Pats. I was feeling rather prosperous at the time so I checked in to a rather excellent hotel near Lumpini Park. A young rather gorgeous bellboy took me to my room on a high floor and proceeded to show me its features including a picture window with a great view. I rewarded him with a 200 baht tip. It was early evening and at the time I was into running so I decided to jog to the park for a few laps. Walking through the lobby I saw him and he asked where I was going in a rather friendly way. In the park ideas flooded in my head and back at the hotel I chatted to him again mentioning that later I was planning to go out for a meal and to visit bars. He asked if that would be Soi Nana and I replied no because I was gay and liked to meet boys. The following evening I was again en route for jogging and he made some flattering comments and I asked him if he liked sport. He said yes but he was sure he could not do running. I jumped in saying that perhaps he would like to go running with me. He looked embarrassed and turned away to attend to another guest. On return I wrote my telephone number on a hotel note pad and gave it to him but after two days there was no response and I didn't see him again until I checked out two days later. I gave him a 500 baht tip and took a taxi to the Tantawan as I decided to economise and was not sure about the guest, policy. Later in my room in the evening my phone rang - it was him. After a few pleasantries I asked if he would like to go jogging - the answer was no with a silence. I followed by an invitation for a meal and he agreed. In the restaurant I indulged in flirting and touching and discovered that he was not gay and was working as a temporary bellboy for the high season and mentioned his need for money. He agreed to go with me to my room after I said that I could help him with that and that I could be his daddy. In bed naked he had a beautiful smooth body and I enjoyed the usual foreplay but on lubing my cock and his hole he said he could not go further. We finished by sucking and wanking and he left with 2000 baht. The next day I phoned him inviting him to go to Pattaya with me but he terminated the call and I never saw him again. bucknaway Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 What about hotel staff that try to pick up customers? Are they rude? (Pinnacle Hotel). What about Thai guys trying to pick up foreigners at the weekend market? Are they bad people? What about other Asian guys here on holiday coming on to travelers on walking street in pattaya? Oh, and what about Thai guys and women trying to pick up guys while in the baht bus? I think we just need to be proud that we are in the company of guys that others desire. Quote
NIrishGuy Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I think again you're missing the difference between trying to "pick up" and propositioning a stranger / hotel worker by instantly offering them money for sex. I really can't understand how some people can't see the difference in those two things, are our experiences in Thailand and elsewhere REALLY making us lose out basic sense of treating others with a modicum of respect or do we just think that everyone everywhere is just there to be bought for our own pleasure. Moses Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 If you want to proposition on condition "money for sex" the best way to do it just to give your "card" to person whom you like together with tips (rich tips for his original service as a bellboy or barmen or cleaner). if you want sex as a one-night-stand - then just give card with flower or with words "I like you". My point of view: than clear is situation, then better is mutual understanding. In my travels alone I even got notes with phone numbers from staff few times: some notes were pushed under the door of my room, some just puted on my table in restaurant or bar in hotel. Since I don't stay in gay-hotels, notes were from both genders - males and females. When we travel with BF we also got notes and verbal propositions (few in Cambodia, less in Laos, and many times in Thailand) from males/boys. If you want something - you have to ask it: biding is free. Just be polite and easy take back any answer. bucknaway and ChristianPFC 2 Quote
bucknaway Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I'm sure enough people had met a busboy at the pinnacle who would offer sex at a ridicously high rate hoping to snag a sucker haha. If that failed he would offer taxi service from a friend. The taxi looked nice from the outside but was a wreck inside and the cost was more than the norm..... Yeah, he got me on that one lol TotallyOz 1 Quote
Gaybutton Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 treating others with a modicum of respect Apparently our ideas about how to treat others with respect are quite different. You're focused on the idea of writing an offer on the back of a card. I see nothing disrespectful about that. Neither do any of the boys I've ever handed a card to. TotallyOz and bucknaway 2 Quote

You have your opinion and I have mine. You have your experience and I have mine. I'm glad the boards seem to have finally reached a point at which board members can discuss and even vehemently disagree with each other without insults, put-downs, and name calling. I hope those days are over. Quote
Alexx Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I agree with NIrishGuy's balanced view. In my opinion, handing out a name card is cool, but writing a baht amount on it? That's pretty low. Quote
ChristianPFC Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 The OP has nothing to fear, but the boy might lose his job (depending on hotel policy). He can judge this risk better than I, so that wouldn't hold me back. If in doubt, meet somewhere else.* The problem I see is to find a suitable moment to let the boy know you are interested, where it appears to be normal staff/customer interaction and nobody except you too know what was really going on. When I like someone, I would not neither offer money nor talk/write about sex on first encounter, just small talk and/or exchange of phone number. Then he is welcome to tell me about his financial situation and to ask for help. If I have met the same person a few times and he knows what I am up to and I know he is has no sexual interest in me, then I will offer money to make it possible. I have three experiences on this subject: In Chiang Mai a boy in a gay hotel came to me at night to bring me plate of fruit (I was very tired at that moment and didn't think more of it), and following day he told me they (staff) look at customer's passport copies and he likes my picture. Nothing more became of it. In Sangklaburi I chatted with a boy in a hotel who probably was gay and interested. Nothing more became of it. In Pattani a man (staff in my hotel) came to my room to bring me a bottle of water, closed to door (a sign of what was to come), complimented me on my white skin (I just had a shower and was in towel), but when he started to touch me I thanked him for the water and opened the door. A friend of mine goes on cruises (ships) and says there is a rule that the cabin door has to be fully open when staff is in the room for cleaning. *On the other hand, friend of mine has been to Myanmar over 10 years ago when hotel customers could not have visitors to rooms, but staff go enter the room. He gave one staff his number, and after that all of the male staff came knocking on his door (and he got fucked by all of them - my friend is not picky). Quote
vinapu Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Well, that is up to the hotel boy to decide that. He's an adult. sure, only kids are making stupid and uninformed decisions. We adults always know what it's best and can only wonder about that insert in Lord's Prayer 'and do not lead us into temptation" A friend of mine goes on cruises (ships) and says there is a rule that the cabin door has to be fully open when staff is in the room for cleaning. possibly in at least some hotels as well - in June on two occasions at Raya lady came to tidy of room when I was inside and left door wide open each time Quote

NIrishGuy Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 "a lady came to tidy the room when I was inside and left door wide open each time" I think you'll find that that's a world wide practice and one which is designed to safeguard the well being of the hotel staff member to ensure they're not attacked by their horny hotel guests who all ASSUME that the staff are permanently horny for white guys ( even though they are probably knackered and see white guys every day). Or assume that the staff are lowly paid / eager enough that they'll "obviously" be up for it if propositioned ( and offered money by some it seems) - although as I have stayed in hotels where I've shagged the staff before ( without offering money I should add) I guess THAT second part of the managements plan doesn't work quite so well - thank goodness :-) Quote
