biguyby Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 There are some nice asses and cocks in Singapore... I can agree unreservedly with you there Steveboy especially around lorang 18 Geylang Quote
fedssocr Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 everyone seems to agree that the biggest customers of the Thai sex industry are Thais. So this whole alleged crusade by the tourism minister would seem a bit misplaced. Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 It is the visibility of the foreign sex industry that is at the heart of the matter. The Thais themselves will still be busy raping underage kids chained to some bed in an up country brothel. Old habits die hard Thais treat most people of a lower societal status than themselves pretty horribly. As far as anywhere in Thailand becoming anything similar to Singapore, good luck. It is a lofty goal that is simply unreachable in our lifetimes anyway. If they rid Pattaya of the sex scene they will leave behind a big empty hole. Many restaurants will fold leaving the "family" tourists less places to eat and drink and welcome to ghost town. Pattaya without hookers is Vegas without casinos. Yes, some people go for the food and the shows, but those don't survive alone. The empty rubble where the bars used to be would become eye sores and as they would be limited in use the value of the buildings would plummet. Even families walk through the redlights and take pictures of the red lights zones. Especially Europeans, who are a little bit more enlightened than the tourism minister seems to be. They need an idea of what they would replace these places with. A full dingy bar still looks better than an empty one. With no repairs ongoing they would fall into tatters over night. They already are it is just the facades and Xmas lights covering the blight in most cases. Bangkok wouldn't change much but Pattaya and Patong would die and it would take a comprehensive 20 year plan of cleaning up the environment, building sewers, and planting greenery before they can even think these places would survive on their on two feet so to speak. Alexx Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Don't worry too much, the Thai government will soon be having other and much more pressing issues to deal with (don't take my word for it, keep following the news). That crackdown didn't have a lot of steam from the start anyway. vinapu 1 Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 The only reason I worry is one thing they have been successful at lately is strangling what is left of the relaxing fun nature of this country. If it was a good idea I wouldn't be as concerned. Quote
Guest abang1961 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 What? you want another Singapore there? If they attract quality tourist where we all are supposed to go? Stop lovelies.. Yes they can graze the entire city of Pattaya with better infrastructure and proper sewage system for all that matters but keep the sleaze intact. And for the information of those ignorant, Singapore do allow some vice (harmless to some and very harmful to most) to exist - think gay bars, gay saunas and PINK DOT annual awareness event. Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 You do not seem to understand that the tourism minister is not talking about infrastructure improvements she is talking about getting rid of the sleaze. Nowhere did she say anything about making other improvements. I doubt it will happen but her premise isn't to build infrastructure and leave the sleaze in tact. Quote
abidismaili Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 The Thais themselves will still be busy raping underage kids chained to some bed in an up country brothel. Are you implying here pedophilia is wide spread among Thai adult men? I assume they are not raping him/her if they don't feel sexual attraction. Pattaya will die if they close the sex industry. I cant believe any tourist goes to Pattaya for the beaches only. They go for the night live (sex). There is nothing else to do. Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 People who invoke Singapore in this thread demonstrate their ignorance. Prostitution is LEGAL in Singapore. However, gay sex is not. That creates certain problems with gay sex entertainment venues. The latter may change in not so distant future and Singapore has a chance to become one of the most attractive asian gay destinations. We are not ignorant we are well aware of the difference between Singapore and Thailand. Yes, there is Orchard Towers in Singapore. That's great so where is Soi Twilight in Singapore because orchard towers isn't much help to most of us here. I like Singapore and I have visited before but to say it is anywhere close to Thailand as far as gay destinations go is farcical. Quote

I am saying that the under age prostitutes and most of the shady type trafficking that revolts people occurs in the Thai on Thai scenes and you can take that for whatever it is worth. The hookers in Pattaya and Bangkok in the foreign areas are 99.999% there out of choice. Quote
abidismaili Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Ok. But still the sexual attraction must be there in these Thai men. Else they will go for another prostitute. Quote
Guest whall Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Never heard of Orchard Towers. I just Googled it. Interesting. There a gay version? Lol Quote

witty Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Why are the Christians in Singapore doing this to the population? I'm sure the majority freethinkers, Buddhists, Taoists, etc, have good and accommodating family values. Quote

steveboy Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Harmful to the staunch "christians" as they deem the gay lifestyle eroding Asian Family Values... How can LGBTs "erode family values" when there have always been homosexual families and now in many parts in the world they are starting to marry and so their families become formal? Singaporeans always want to be more than their neighbors and the Christians try to be "more Catholic than the Pope". In the process, they become naive and swallow the nonsense predicated by slick religious professionals like the ones of City Harvest Church. Precisely these staunch Christians who are so full of themselves need more exposure to gay lifestyles to realize how wrong the preaching of their churches are, and how they became suckers to religious deception. Is there any staunch Christian still believing that Sun Ho represents "Asian Family Values" ? a447a 1 Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Just another article on the subject I saw today. http://www.citylab.com/politics/2016/07/bangkok-prostitution-ban/493355/ Quote
calluna15 Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I wonder if this could actually happen? Think of a place like pattaya. It would affect every aspect of life there. Every Employed person would be affected. Every seven eleven, restaurant, taxi driver, Laundry shop, motorcycle repair, mall, Beach concessions, sellers, markets, Property values. When they closed jomtien Beach on wednesdays without a thought To the lost income for everyone was a Worrisome sign. Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 It sure would change things in Pattaya. The families that go there for the selection of restaurants and whatever else they go for would be disappointed. Don't worry though, this government can not achieve the most basic of things let alone something of this scale. It would be unlikely they could close the sex scene but they could make it much less appealing. Look forward to more police shakedowns, uncertain closing times, boys being told to wear clothes in gogos, and higher drink prices. They get rid of the fuck shows in Soi Twilight and it would kill off many places. The prices of drinks there is already crazy if there is no show to justify the cost. The sex scene won't disappear over night but will slowly fade out as it has been doing in some places across Thailand already. Quote
vinapu Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 The sex scene won't disappear over night but will slowly fade out as it has been doing in some places across Thailand already. enough to mention Sukhumvit soi 11 Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Suk soi 11 is going to be a mall most likely soon. Owners aren't renewing leases. Nana would be the place in most danger right now I think. The thing is suk 11 isn't really a sex area but a good example of what exists next to one. So less options for restaurants in that area. Quote
firecat69 Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 The Government does not have to do anything. Just wait as the internet continues to take customers away from the Bars and the rise in real estate values forces Bars to eventually close . Pattaya is a shell of its former self at least for Gay Bars and so is BKK. 15 years ago there were multiple Gay Escort Bar areas in BKK and Soi Twilight was thriving with more Bars then now and all of them full many nights. Same in Pattaya. The internet closed up Amsterdam, NYC, SFO and in many ways even Prague. But there is a reason why most of the good looking go go boys are on the Apps also. They realize where many of their customers now come from. I think when the boys realize what kind of photos make them look attractive , many will realize it is no problem finding the same quality online, it just takes a little practice. I am always amazed at boys who post 5 photos, 3 of them making stupid faces and maybe 1 photo that you can see maybe this boy is really good looking or at least my type. There are always going to be people who want to see the boy in the Bar . I lived in Montreal for 6 years with multiple Gay GoGo Bars. I can't tell you how many times I saw a boy outside in the daylight and wondered how I could think he was so good looking in the Bar. I have hundreds of personal photos of boys I have taken in Thailand over the years. If I was to put my personal grade on all of them , there would be just as many 10's from the apps as from the Bars and I started in the Bars long ago. And at any rate sometimes the best looking boys suck as sex companions. Just go to Jupiter!!! Alexx 1 Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 You can find cute guys on the apps it is just there is a much higher looking ratio of guys that aren't so... well you get the drift. So i find you have to wade through more profiles. You are also right that they post the dumbest pictures. Btm boys with only cock pics. Top guys with pics of their chest. I hate all of the cartoonish effects in them as well. I have been teaching some of the boys how to put up better pics and some of them listen. Quote
