Popular Post TotallyOz Posted July 2, 2016 Popular Post Posted July 2, 2016 I went shopping at Mega Bangna's Ikea. I needed some sheets, towels, kitchen items, etc. One thing that caught my attention was a very well made desk (not the cheap fake plastic stuff I often see there) and we ended up buying it. As the desk was huge, we had it delivered along with several bags of other things. They showed up the next day and had everything tightly packaged. We had them put the desk together. It was very quick and they made sure we were happy with everything. I have shopped many places in Thailand and had delivery. This place was very easy and no problems. I was happy with the delivery and I'm happy with the office desk. BTW: If you have not been to Mega Bangna, it was great. Tons of great stores and items. They even had some things I had looked for previously in Thailand that I could find no where but they had in the stores in this shopping center. traveller123, paulsf, Moses and 4 others 7 Quote
Guest abang1961 Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 I did a quick search about the mall ...'Boy, that's huge.. I like... the shopping mall... Quote
TotallyOz Posted July 2, 2016 Author Posted July 2, 2016 BTW: For those that remember threads in the past about Memory Foam Mattresses, they had them. They also have a store that sells Vitamix 220 volts (39,000 baht) but they had it. You are right, there are many stores! Quote
orson Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Is this place near any bts/mrt. I believe ikea charges for the delivery and assembly of the furniture. Quote
firecat69 Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Even in North America the assembly charge is small and well worth it. They put it together in a 10th of the time most customers will and thus no lugging the stuff with a very reasonable delivery charge. Quote
TotallyOz Posted July 2, 2016 Author Posted July 2, 2016 Is this place near any bts/mrt. I believe ikea charges for the delivery and assembly of the furniture. It is a good ways from BTS. But, they have a free shuttle from the station before Bang Na (forgot the name) that runs back and forth often. Quote
baobao Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 BTW: If you have not been to Mega Bangna, it was great. Tons of great stores and items. Agreed... I time to fill for a couple of days not long after it was open and rolling and found the selection of stores, items and people-watching all to my liking! TotallyOz 1 Quote

The Mall is huge and there are occasionally fashion shows and promotional visits from big Thai stars there.. my last visit there was a memorable one as i got the chance to meet Mario Maurer (internationally known actor) and Nadech (huge Thai actor) both are gorgeous in real life. I also got the chance to meet Dee, a famous Thai muslim Model. Mari-oh- Maurer Nadech had to go through legion of fans and sea of people to get these shots! kokopelli Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 How did this thread about Ikea morph into photos of hot, muscled guys? As for Ikea, why buy that junk if one can get the real thing? Quote

TotallyOz Posted July 16, 2016 Author Posted July 16, 2016 The boys and I have been to this place many times in the last 2 weeks. It has everything we need to get an apartment ready. Today, we were at Homepro. It is a massive one and had everything we needed for some fix me up things and we bought a few more items for comfort. All in all, it was great and Homepro delivers tomorrow before 10AM. They said 4 days and I said no thanks and then they said how is tomorrow morning and I said yes. LOL The movie theater in this place is also great! It is worth the trip for me when I need something to take a taxi out there and find everything I want. Lunch at Ikea for meatballs! Alexx Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Lunch at Ikea for meatballs! Too bad they've removed the horse meat from their supply chain. I still had the pleasure of eating their horse meat balls in the early days of IKEA Bangna. I didn't know that back then though. TotallyOz 1 Quote

bkkguy Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 old joke about the tourist in a restaurant in Madrid, a local at the table next to him orders the "special" and is served two huge balls on a plate. the tourist ask the waiter about the dish and he explains the restaurant is next to the bullfighting arena and these are the testicles of the bull killed in the ring today. the tourist orders the same dish but the waiter explains there is only one fight per day so he comes back the next day and orders the special but is disappointed to get only two very small balls served. the waiter explains "Sometimes the matador wins, sometimes..." bkkguy witty, Alexx and vinapu 3 Quote
