vinapu Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 thomas 84, don't forget about Senso. I always had a good time there . I second Divine's recommendation of VClub Quote
Guest thomas84 Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 So, I decided to go to Arena. First, as vinapu mentioned, I saw a few boys from Hero there as well as one of the managers who would help me select the therapist i wanted. One boy from Hero who worked there is Bon (sp?) I had used him a couple of times at Hero and I think he has been there for awhile. Anyway, I picked a guy who names is Panuk or Panook. ( i think that's it). He has a tattoo on the middle of his chest and is in his mid 30s. Several of the guys showed there interest and once i narrowed it down to a few, I picked based solely on the person who worked the hardest to get my attention. I'm glad I did. I would like to say that the overall selection of guys at Arena was better than the overall selection of guys at Hero. There were more to my liking and for the first time in many trips to BKK, I found it hard to make a decision. I walked up the stairs to the room with him and that's where the massaged commence. His technique was pretty decent and the sensual aspects of the massage was pretty good. Now, I won't go into details, but I will say that in my 30+ years, I can count on one hand people who could finish the job. Let's just say the mission was accomplished more than once. I will definitely be heading back to Arena before I leave Quote
Guest thomas84 Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Were many of the Arena masseurs twinks? they were muscle, but lean, not big muscle guys if that makes sense Quote
Londoner Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Which of the massage places are currently the best for twinks? The Soi Twilight ones are either closed or almost deserted in the afternoons. Quote
Guest thomas84 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 anyone has any personal experience with boys of Prince? Quote
Guest thomas84 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 So I went back to arena for round two since my first experience there was pretty amazing. I literally had the best and worst experiences at the same place within 48 hours. I ended the massage early, left and refused to tip him the full 1000 baht. One mamasan told me I had to tip him or would call police. I told them to go ahead. The mamasan from Hero who works there knows me and knows that during my previous visits there and that in a decent customer. I tipped the therapist less than minimum and have no plan to ever return to Arena. Ugh Quote
vinapu Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 anyone has any personal experience with boys of Prince? if O, formerly from HERO is there, I can recommend him since he was my best experience at Hero ever I literally had the best and worst experiences at the same place within 48 hours. I ended the massage early, left and refused to tip him the full 1000 baht. I wonder what went wrong / massage , attitude , hygiene, sex, attempt to steal, boy on the phone most of time, loud stinky fart ? / 1000 is more than Arena's minimum so surely you shouldn't tip that if session was terminated early. Your experience confirms that not a place is important but boy himself and one can have fabulous experience in dirty place full of lazy , greedy and unskilled boys and have disaster in shiny venue full of smiling , grade A , recommended by all ones. It goes with both massages and bars. As for returning, since you had best and worst there, why to let worst experience to color black whole picture. I can relate your story to myself and Dreamboys soi Twilight, exactly the same , best and worst within few days but still returned next night after disaster and few times since without regret. But of course , since you were there , you know better. Quote
firecat69 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 I agree . One bad experience should probably not cross it off your list forever . Especially since you are 50% Fabulous. But possibly another similar experience should end it. I gave Jupiter 6 chances. I am a slow learner but will never give them 1 baht again . DivineMadman 1 Quote
Alexx Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Still, a bad experience is one thing, but threatening to call the police for not paying the full tip is taking the cake... I probably wouldn't be back either. DivineMadman 1 Quote

While my experience reflects yours , for my personal use I still think it is not Jupiter but Jupiter boys who screwed my experience so I still patronize the place but yes, thought of another off is not crossing my mind although is easing off a bit recently. I'd be crossing off place only if I was treated there violently or ridiculed publicly, otherwise I don't believe in summary executions. But of course since we have so many choices available person may choose to cross place of the list completely for any reason but is usually better to look at full half of glass not an empty one. firecat69 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't go to Bars to look at boys but rather find a companion. Since I will never take anyone off from there again it would be a complete waste on inflated drink prices. ChristianPFC 1 Quote
Guest thomas84 Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 One of the reasons i dont want to go back is how one of the mamasans handled it. he insisted I pay and i'm telling him the service was bad. The therapist told me I should never return. At the moment, I wanted to have some choice words for him, but I decided to hold my tongue. I did leave a comment on their page and asked if I could send an email to address what my problem was with the actual therapist Quote
Guest ryanasia Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 What you say makes complete sense. Quote
DivineMadman Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Arena purports to have a 15 minute rule, where you have to decide if the masseur isn't for you within the first 15 minutes. Frankly that seems a bit ridiculous to me and if they really want to stick with a rule like that, it seems like a bad way to do business. We all say that the massage shops have seen & heard it all before, so it should be possible for a shop to address the situation where a customer has a bad experience without resorting to threats. But of course in the absence of more details, hard really to say. The good news is that there are plenty of other shops to go to. ggobkk 1 Quote

I, for one, quite often to go one bar to watch the show and to another one just to pick up THE BOY ot pick up the boy and drag him to another bar to see the show / only if he agrees and I have ones who did not/ paulsf 1 Quote
vinapu Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 One of the reasons i dont want to go back.... Whatever your reason is I don't think anybody would dispute. What Firecat and me were suggesting is not to let bad experience to nullify good one you had there but of course as better informed you made your decision Quote

I hope Arena will reach out to my post on their website. I would like to explain so they understand that it wasn't the business itself as much as an employee Quote

I can't imagine regardless of official rules that most massage places would let you forego a tip after the fact. That simply isn't good business. My above remark about it making sense was sarcastic and if you spent the hour you pay the tip. Right or wrong refusing to pay is a dangerous thing to do, and i am not talking about the cops. Quote
Guest thomas84 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 That's true, but I didn't even spend an hour. It was around 40 minutes. The guy was horrible. I spoke with someone at Arena today via email Quote
Guest whall Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 And what they say over email? Why was he so horrible? Quote
