Yes I can't wait for Apr 22.

I am expected to be in Pattaya for 3 nights and thereafter another 3 nights in Bangkok.

I want to have my ka-moo (saute pig trotters) and pad Thai upon arrival.

Sorry there wont be any reports of (s)expeditions at massage parlours but a tribute to "gay mecca" aka Babylon, Dongtan Beach is a must.   So, watch out for me in minimal wear at Dongtan. I am thinking of Sansuk too.  Can you tan naked there?

Whilst in Pattaya I often visit the Samsuk. Yes you can tan naked although it's not officially approved. Some afternoons you see several customers naked but sometimes nobody dares. I take a g-string and put it on when others are similarly attired. if you are staying in the guesthouse you can do what you like before it opens for the public, including playing with boyfriends in the pool.

It is barely a fortnight away from my imminent but short arrival at Pattaya.

I would like to propose a dinner get-together on Sat 23 Apr 2016 at the Apex Hotel.

Yes I am a cheap skate and if I can round up another 9 forummers, the buffet dinner is only THB 180 apiece - what a steal.

How to get 9 person - farangs with their boyfriends/friends/escort etc.

PM if you are interested.

Hey, is ka-moo a good dish to try? Where is the best place to try this in Pattaya or Silom area?

Ka-moo is a traditional Thai-Chinese dish.

The pig trotters/innards are marinated with 5-spice powder and remained in the broth.

Salted vegetables lift the taste of this yummy/delicious dish.

Where to try this?

At the airport - take the escalator to the Mezzanine floor  and you will see a food court.

The dish starts at THB 50/60...depending on what extra you want.

It is fulfilling before the bus trip to Pattaya.

Otherwise, just visit any food court and you will find this dish readily available.

I thought Ka Moo ขาหมู is pig leg? I had it once (on a Khao Man Gai stall that had run out of chicken, on South Pattaya Wat Chai Market), and didn't like it at all, pure jelly-like fat.

One man's meat is another man's poison (passion if you like)

Yes I'm a Ka-Moo fan... pig's leg or trotters... they used the Teochew language which means the same thing.

猪脚/猪蹄/猪内藏 is simply divine to me.. I don't get it here in Singapore as it takes a long time to simmer the pot of goodies!

You obviously got it from the wrong place, a khao man gai place is a khao man gai place, you should get the kaa moo from a kaa moo stall! Just cut off the fat if you don't like it or even better tell then you don't want any when you order. The meat just melts in your mouth, amazing!

Now that you say it, I have only seen stalls that offer either khao man gai or kha moo, but never both. Only this one experience. I will not try again on my own, maybe if someone with experience shows me where and how to eat it.

Personally one of my favourite stall in Silom is the pig-innards mix soup, nearer to the McDonalds end of the night market.

The soup is flavourful and for 60/70 THB, I am fully satisfied with the soup set which comes with a bowl of rice.

I shall take a picture of that stall when I am there in late April.

PFC, that is my shout!
