Background

 

In the past, the few trips I have had to Bangkok was with a friend, a str8 friend. At that time, I have practically no idea of what Thailand is famous for (its massages & sex-related industry) ‘cos we usually shop, eat, drink & occasionally enjoy Thai foot massages.

 

Introduction

 

This was my first solo trip to Bangkok.

After I bought the air ticket & book the hotel, I started to panic. Although I knew I wanted to visit gay massage venues & gogo bars, I am at a loss of how to go about doing it. There are tons of information on the web and I try my best to do my research & made a summary.

Fortunately, DivineMadman came to my rescue. I was pleasantly surprised when he offered to meet up with me & visit selected massage venues & gogo bars. I am so thankful that I dun have to wander around like a lost puppy (or a madman … if u will) trying to find the massage venues, select a suitable boy for massage, know the proper gogo bar “etiquette” etc. He was kind enough to accompany me for 2 days & I felt so much more confident about venturing out alone on the 3rd & 4th day. His Google location map titled ““Bangkok Massage Venues” came in very handy.

 

Day 1

Hotel Debacle

Arrived at Glitz Hotel at 1.30pm for 2 nights superior room. It is situated along the main road, next to the bar that I fancy a lot i.e. Tawan Bar. It is a very small hotel, with 14 rooms in total (room type : standard, superior, deluxe; in simpler terms : small, medium or large room), has 4 floors with no elevator.

 

 

Had an issue with this hotel ‘cos I was told that I could only stay for 1 night & the hotel was fully booked for the 2nd night, & due to double booking I had to shift to another “better” hotel (they first suggested Om Yim and on refusal, they suggested Bed by City Surawong Hotel the next day). The lady boss accompanied me to the “better” hotel in the 2nd day morning, view the room & pleaded many times but I have to say no. Finally, in a soft tone, I told them that if I am forced to move to a bad location, my review for this hotel will not be good. They then left me alone to continue my itinenary & finalize it at noon … give me the option of shifting to a standard but smaller room & I accepted it. The bed at the standard room makes a squeaking sound each time I turn my body, otherwise it is fine.

In hindsight, had they been more polite & better at communicating their problem, I would have obliged. When I first check-in & heard that I had to move to another hotel, I was puzzled and trying to find out exactly how this happened. One of their staff said something to me “... You dun understand English is it?” (I think he is asking if I understand the meaning of double booking) and I am taken aback. When I try to explain it is not logical that my Agoda booking for 2 nights was a month ago & during my booking, the web info shows that there are at least 2 or 3 more rooms left. I asked if they understand what I am trying to say. Another staff replied “I understand English. Are you trying to say I am stupid?”... Bad choice of words & communication ...  I might be wrong but I suspect that I am being singled out to force to accept the inconvenience ‘cos I dun look demanding. But to be fair, on the 1st night, they did upgrade me to the deluxe / large size room. So downgrading to a smaller room on the 2nd night even things out.

My FB friend/buddy commented on the deluxe room photos I posted & said that the room looked rundown (actually not really true, though the room is not at its pristine condition, I am OK with it) … haha … that’s ‘cos he usually stay at Princess Pathumwan Hotel. But since there is no one to split the hotel expenses with me, I have to opt for a cheaper hotel & also at a more convenient location.

 

Arena Spa

Went there at 3:00pm. Arena is located in Silom Plaza (even local Thai may not know where it is) not Silom Complex. But it is just a short walk from Chong Nonsi BTS. The location map found in Arena’s FB site was misleading. The map found in this forum is accurate:-

The current lounge area is half as big as the old Arena. About 25 - 30 topless guys, age ranging from 2x to 3x yo, crammed in front of me, putting on broad smiles, flexing their muscles, some even gave me the come hither look. I was told there will be more boys (50?) later at around 6pm. I wonder where are they going to stand if there are that many… possibly within arm’s reach .

I asked the person serving me who has more years of experience and he just say “all very good” … a non-reply ... With so many pairs of eyes staring at me, I felt uneasy and had to quickly pick one that smile at me. I picked a guy called “Mac” 26yo, masculine, who smile at me with the broadest smile (possibly a little too broad), has a sun-tanned lean muscular body, speak conversational English, for 1.5hr (790 bht; min. tip 1000bht) oil massage. Mac was from Uniman. Told me that he is divorced with 2 children and that now he like guys … I think he should be about 30yo & str8.

Though I requested a strong massage, he delivered a medium strength massage with excessive oil & with limited strokes. I think his focus was on the afters. Suffice to say, he was quite verbal during the afters (rate 8/10) & definitely has the stamina for long session. Due to my limited techniques, I didn’t manage to make him cum. Anyway, customer cums first and that is the most important rule. Overall, I am sufficiently satisfied (rate 7/10) though I have to deduct points for the massage part (5/10). Tip 1,200, asked for 1,500, finally settled at 1,300. Because of his request, it makes me wonder if I had under tipped & question the real definition of min. tip for Arena Spa.

 

GoGo Bars - X-Size & HotMale

Meet up with DivineMadman at Maxis bar for a drink (79bht for beer) at 7pm. We had a good chat as he gave me a brief lecture of the GoGo bars in this Soi. While chatting, we also did not forget to keep a watchful eye at the boys from Bangkok Massage, Bonny Massage & those who is walking into this lane. It seems Bangkok & Bonny has the same “uniform” for the boys i.e. a low-cut singlet that accentuate their pecs & a skimpy tight shorts that draws attention to their bubble butt. Shouldn’t they try to distinguish themselves by wearing something different?

The gogo bar opposite of Maxis should actually do something about their exterior appearances. From the outside when I walked past or looked in, I thought it is a kitchen. They should have decorated their walls something similar to Fresh Boys or at least put an obvious signboard that says the name of the bar. It just look uninteresting to me.

We visited X-Size (drinks 360bht) & HotMale (380). Drink fees were being paid upon leaving. It seems the client has the option of coming into the bars, look at the boy selection for a brief moment before deciding whether to stay & order a drink. There is no such option for Tawan bar whereby you can sneak a quick peek at their boys without paying the entry fee.

I must say that X-Size consists of mostly twinkish, barely-legal, fresh from the village kind of boys who doesn’t know what to do on stage & just stand motionless & stare at you. There were like only 2 other customers when we entered at around 9:15pm. Immediately, we were surrounded by 2 mamasans. DivineMadman, being the experienced one, draw their attention by flirting with them in Thai & in English, bought them drinks, and tip them. It was less awkward for me as I dunno how to handle the situation. But we did not wait for X-Size show to start before we bar hop to HotMale.

Before going up to the 2nd floor to HotMale, DivineMadman spotted Paulsf at the drink bar below and exchanged pleasantries. Apparently, Paulsf is a big supporter of HotMale & he is literally a resident at HotMale bar.

The bar was about half-full. We both agree that the setup / boy-on-stage arrangement is much better in HotMale. In HotMale, before the show starts, coyote dancers are stationed at the 4 corners of the stage, constantly doing simple body movements & dances in a sexy fashion while the boys stand in the middle, albeit more body movement & with more facial expression as compared to the X-Size boys. I think one of the dancers is quite good looking with a toned body as compared to their boy selection. If asked to pick, I will choose one of the mamasan’s assistant who is dressed in blue tight shirt & who is more masculine & muscled.

I like the show and didn’t expect it to last so long with so many segments. Initially, I thought the big cock show was with fake dicks … ‘cos they all looked so big & a few of the boys seemed to have dicks that come from the same mould. I wonder if DivineMadman would agree if I have sufficient grounds to inspect the boys’ dick based on my suspicion that they were wearing fake dicks .

The 2nd last performance was a acrobatic fuck show; the bottom was dressed like a ladyboy & acted very fem-ly. Fuck show is back for now & it seems to be a big deal, but I am not really a fan of it. The last performance had a solo guy sitting on a chair with the lights dimmed. I was wondering what was happening. I didn’t realized that the guy was masturbating. And when he is ready to shoot, the room brighten, spot lights on the guy at the stage centre and I saw cum spurting out (hence confirmed it is not a fake dick). I was wondering why they didn’t bother to collect tips before the guy cums. No tips for the poor guy who cum. This is the standard procedure for all bars except Tawan (I haven't been to Tawan for years, I learn of their changed policy only from your report). And I'm glad it is! Many times did I have to walk out of a bar because there was nothing worth spending time and money, type-wise and number-wise.

Day 2

Lumpini Park Stroll

I have read about Vinapu’s routine morning stroll at Lumpini park & was intrigued by it. Hence, I decided that I must also do the same. However, part of the morning was spent sorting out the issue of whether I am agreeable to be shifted to another hotel. By 9:15am, I told the hotel lady boss that I am not agreeable & will come back later before noon to sort it out.

I took a tutuk (60 bht) to Lumpini park. My intention is actually to get a glimpse, maybe take photos & videos of the Tawan boys lifting weights at the outdoor gym in the park. On entering the park, I turned right and walked a short distance before I spotted the gym. There are a few people doing exercises but I think none of them are from Tawan. I walked a bit & decided to leave cos it was getting quite hot with the sunlight. On my way out, I spotted a Tawan boy with a big size lady walking towards the gym. Although, he was wearing a face mask, I could recognize him immediately. He is one of the shorter boy who also perform in the big cock & JO show. One of the youtube video titled “Bangkok Lumpini park” by Dirk Claus has him in it, albeit now he has body tattoo covering the whole of his back body.  

I left the park & try to find the Foodland PatPong place. I visualized that Foodland PatPong would be a big open air foodcourt with lots of food stalls. Authentic Thai Massage

As the plan later in the afternoon was to meet up with DivineMadman at 5.30pm & visit the Prince spa together, I decided to go for a proper thai massage (the Prime Massage; recommended by DivineMadman) with no hanky-panky in the interim. Also, I felt that one gay massage with HE per day is enough for me. Two would be tiring, costly and might not be enjoyable.

The Prime Massage is just situated at the end of the Tawan Bar street. I went there at 12 noon, planning to have a 2 hr massage by an experienced masseur. The beared guy at the counter speaks very little English & the young apprentice girl could hardly mutter an English word. After I have picked a masseur named “Don” via an iPad, they told me the masseur not available and said something about after 4pm. I thought the masseur schedule was fully booked for the day & I thought the body massage only start at 4pm. Hence I made advance booking for 4pm for the next day. Later I figured out that they have 2 shifts (12 noon - 8pm; 4pm to 12 midnight). Don is in the 2nd shift for that week and they accept walk-in customer without booking before 4pm & booking is only allowed & is required for time slot after 4pm. I could actually opt for another masseur and have my 2 hr massage at 12 noon.

 

The Green Massage

I went for lunch. Then I went to try another authentic thai massage place called the Green Massage at 2:30pm. It is just a few footsteps from my hotel.

 

 

Took a 2hr massage (30mins scrub + 1.5hr oil) for 800bht (min tip 100bht). It was medium - strong & relaxing massage (rate : 7.5/10). Done on a massage table (with face hole), the masseur was fully clothed in their bright orange uniform & black long pants. I was surprised nearing the end of the massage when the masseur hinted that HE is available for tips at i.e. 500bht for HJ & 1000bht for naked ... etc. With only 10mins left, I declined the offer. Finished the massage, was offered a cup of warm lemongrass tea and a hot towel. Tip the masseur 300bht. Based on my understanding, the masseur will get 280 bht from the 800bht fee.

 

The Prince

At 5.30pm, DivineMadman & I started to travel by foot from Silom Complex toward the Prince Spa. It’s about 15 - 20mins walk via some of back alleys, cross an overhead bridge etc.

 

 

There were about 25 - 30 boys when we arrived. All of them were wearing jeans & showing their upper body. They promptly formed two rows with the boys in the back row standing on a raised platform for easier viewing. As usual, they smiled eagerly at us, flexing some muscles & so on. Very good selection of 2x yo athletic, lean-fit or muscle boys. It was hard to choose & DivineMadman later told me that the mamasan was not particularly helpful. The mamasan wasn’t able to give some brief intro on which boy does what best, top/bottom, gay/str8 … As usual, I asked which boy can deliver good & strong massages. The mamasan didn’t directly answer my answer. He just said that he will instruct the boy to do strong massages after I have made my selection. I chose a short, young, fair-skin muscled boy with a nice innocent smile for a 1hr massage (900bht; min tip 1000).

 

 

I was then told that the boy is gay & can do everything i.e. versatile. His name is Luke, a 26 yo boy from Changmai. He started the massage with strong finger pressure which I like. But within 5 mins into the massage, it turned into a medium - soft massage. It then dawned on me that maybe the reason why the mamasan couldn’t point out who can do strong massage is ços none of them were sufficiently trained to do it. They might know the strokes but strong finger pressure usually comes from years of practice or training. My focus should be on the areas that they can excel in.

The afters was done in a quiet fashion with minimum talking (as the boy can only communicate in very basic English). It was satisfactory as it was a new experience for me (rate: Massage (5/10), Afters (7/10)). Tip him 1500bht. The boy told me that on average he can get 3 - 5 clients per week … that would be quite boring being inside the glass room the whole day waiting for customer to pick them. As I sat at the lounge area waiting for DivineMadman to complete his 1.5hr session, I was able to watch more clearly at the boys behavior, body & looks while other clients were making their selections. I noticed that even those supposedly popular ones might not get picked e.g. the handsome pornstar with a dark moustache didn’t get picked by us or 4 other clients that walked in after us.

After the massage, we again travel by foot to the silom area. Had dinner & lengthy chat at the Telephone bar before DivineMadman head home while I went back to hotel to freshen up before heading to the Tawan Bar at 10pm.

 

Tawan Bar

 

 

At 10pm, I paid the entry fee 400bht before being allowed to enter the Tawan Bar. It was a Saturday night & nearly half-full. I was led to sit at the wall seats directly in front of the stage, sat beside a middle-age local gay Thai guy. We chatted and he is mainly attracted to beautiful handsome guys. He pointed to one of the younger Tawan boy (not as muscular as the rest) and said that the boy is really handsome. The boy was offed by a young hongkonger minutes later. But I dun think the boy is handsome… haha… not my cup of tea.

At any one time, before the show starts, about 4 to 5 Tawan boys will be standing on the stage posing, flexing, winking at the clients. They will stand for about 10mins before another batch of boys replace them. All the boys wore posing briefs (leather, see-through, mesh, jockstrap etc) that leave very little to the imagination.

It was the most difficult 45mins that I had to wait for the show to start. There was nothing to do but to stare at the boys. When they caught me staring at them, some will immediately draw my attention to their package by re-positioning it, some would lower their posing briefs to reveal a little, while others continue to flex or remain as cool as possible ços they like the muscle worship/ attention they were getting.

By 10:45pm, the bar was already filled with clients. It was a full house and yet they still waited another 10mins before they start the show. In the midst of the show, I can still see people being ushered in, as more chairs are being placed on the walkway.

I noticed that some boys would only do the routine posing with no nudity. There are only a handful of boys who can actually act or willing to perform the various segments of the show e.g the big cock show (4 - 5 boys), fuck show (2 boys) & the JO show (3 boys). For the fuck show, I noticed the bottom being a regular size guy (possibly someone they dragged over from the Sun Massage to perform the act). As they were doing the act, they went around collecting tips (though not many gave). For me, the Tawan show highlight was the JO finale. I finally had the chance to see a bodybuilder JO show that I always wanted. Unlike HotMale JO show, Tawan’s stage lights were not dimmed at all. We can see them clearly where they were standing on stage & jerking off, while someone went around collecting tips. When the tips passed a certain figure, a boy (masked) would walk forward to the stage centre & shoot his load as far as possible to make an impressive cumshots. I contributed 100bht for the 1st round. The 2nd boy (the boy I spotted in Lumpini park) in line cum twice within minutes, shooting off the stage & onto the audience floor. Likewise, the 3rd boy also managed a very nice cumshot. The show ended at around 12:15am. As I started to leave, I spotted the Tawan musclegod Panupong Prateep (nicknamed Lun) just arrived for the 2nd show of the night. Is he the superstar of Tawan that people are talking about? Who is "Merkhin" ... ?

I as well found that bar and massages crawling with somebody is much more pleasant than doing it alone as opinions about boys can be exchanged and staff leaves us alone thinking we may be boyfriends.

 

This is not first time I heard about overbooking at Glitz , once  talked to single lady in the BBB Inn lobby  and asked her is she realizes this is gay hotel, she did,  and  was victim of overbooking at Glitz , they suggested she can find a room at BBB Inn, how thoughtful of them !

I was thinking about trying Glitz on my next trip but you cured me from that.

Foodland:

Yes, that's the one and only Foodland in Patpong. There is no foodcourt or similar of that name. Foodland is a Bangkok supernarket chain. Nothing special about it. The Patpong branch added their restaurant area in front only a few years ago, and it has a very cheap breakfast, which is why it has earned visits and mentioons by vinapu (where you probably got the idea to go there from).

 

The Prime:

that is not correct, you can also walk in after 4pm. it just happens that sometimes in the late afternoon/evening they are fully booked, i.e. all rooms (not necessarily all measseus, you can still see some outside) are occupied, so booking miught be recommendalbe, but is not a requirement.

 

Authentic Thai Massage at The Gree:

You chose oil massage, which is techincally not what is typically meant by "authentic thai massage". "Autherntic" aka tradintional Thai massage is done without oil and while wearing VERY loose fitting pants (usually fishermamns pants) and shirt, both always provided. As it is clothed, it is less (or not at all) sensual, and the technique is very different. But still highly recommended and enjoyable. Depending on my mood or current muscle pain I choose either traditional Thai or oil.

 

The Green massage:

You shouldn't be surprised by the availability of HE in ANY massage shop in Silom/Surawong area. It is available at ALL of them, including (to a lesser extent) The Prime. Whether or not it is offered depends on the individual masseur. Some offer it by asking, some ask to be tipped for it, with or without specifying an amount, some just proceed to do it without asking anything at all (customers willingness to have it usually indicated by raging hard on during an oil massage haha). 

Your 300 tip was on the generous side for a non-HE massage, so sure he was happy. 

 

The Prince:

Kinda odd that you didn't choose the 1.5hr massage which is hardly more (only 200b) than the 1hr, considering you tipped 1500 anyway. So tipping the minimum 1500 for 1.5hr and paying up just 200 you could have had much more value for money. Any particular reason?

 

 

Tawan:

just a side-note on this: I always find it somewhat amusing that the muscle men there are referred to as "boys"....

I have had 2 overbook experiences, though both of mine were in Pattaya and some time ago.

 

It bugs me when it happens and I haven't stayed at either place since.  Most often seems a "favored" guest extends their stay, so they boot someone with a reservation and find them someplace else.

There was one more venue that didn't allow customers to have a free look first: the short-lived Fuse/Bangkok Bounce/Club88 in basement of Wall Street Tower. I tried once, and someone else reported same experience here. I skipped.

 

I don't buy a pig in a poke. If a bar does not allow you to have a look first, there must be a catch. Low number of boys or bar full (that must be very rare) and only poor seats available?

You chose oil massage, which is techincally not what is typically meant by "authentic thai massage". "Autherntic" aka tradintional Thai massage is done without oil and while wearing VERY loose fitting pants (usually fishermamns pants) and shirt,

 

Your 300 tip was on the generous side for a non-HE massage, so sure he was happy.

Indeed, the Thai massage at the Prime was as per your description.

 

I didn't know how much to tip at a proper massage place. If the masseur at Green is happy with 300bht tip, then the 2 masseurs at Prime would be utterly delighted 'cos I tipped twice the amount for a massage done well.

 

I find it too at first but got used to it. For me, whatever they are called, I prefer them to be Men, not Boys .

I have had 2 overbook experiences, though both of mine were in Pattaya and some time ago.

 

It bugs me when it happens and I haven't stayed at either place since.  Most often seems a "favored" guest extends their stay, so they boot someone with a reservation and find them someplace else.

 

I imagined the scenario whereby I made booking via Agoda whereas another person double-booked via Booking.com at the same time... But then if this really happens, their computer system or server is really lousy.

Day 3

Chatuchak Weekend Market

 

 

Checked out of Glitz at 9.30am & left my luggage at the counter.

Since it was a Sunday, I decided to visit Chatuchak Weekend Market. The taxi outside the hotel quoted me 600 bht, another taxi 400 bht. A quick search reveals that I could just take BTS from Sala Daeng to Mo Chit station (42 bht). Reached there by 10am, followed the crowd & walk toward the market. I spent two hours walking around, shopping, drinking & eating. Tried the Original Coconut Ice cream (40 bht) & the Roasted Pork (140 bht for 200g) etc.

 

 

By 12 noon, I made my way back to the BTS station. It was literally packed with people / tourist just arrived & trying to squeeze their way out of the station. Hence, a good time to visit the market would be before 10am, preferably at 9am, to avoid the crowd.

Back to the hotel, took my luggage & walked a short distance over to Tarntawan hotel & check-in for the 3rd night stay. It was a good idea (an idea I got off from Vinapu’s post) to try different hotels & have a chance to review more hotels, even for short trips . I booked the deluxe room & was upgraded to an even bigger room.

Bonny Massage

At 1.30pm, I walked over to Soi Pratuchai or Soi Twilight. I wanted to try Bangkok Massage ‘cos from what I remembered from the 1st night there were quite a few masseurs with nice body available. It must have been too early ‘cos there was no one sitting outside. There was a boy at Bonny Massage. I went upstair & 4 petite boys were available for selection. None of the boys was what I am looking for and so I asked who is Sokchai (at least he is certified to be good). But Sokchai went back his hometown. Finally, I asked for the most experienced person and I think his name is “Golf”. Took 1hr massage (600bht; min tip 600bht). The massage was done on a thin mattress placed on top of a raised platform. The pillow (filled with beans or seeds) was a little too hard & thick.  

Nearing the end of the session, the boy asked if I wanted extras. He quoted 2,000bht (inclusive of the massage fee). I thought it was too pricey and the boy was not my type and hence I declined the offer. Massage (6/10), Afters (NIL).

The Prime Massage

 

At 4pm sharp, I arrived at the Prime massage for my appointment: 1hr Thai massage + 1hr Oil (600bht paid during booking; min. tip 100bht).

 

 

The masseur led me up a few flight of stairs to the topmost (4th floor) & to the furthest room.

As per what Anddy had described in previous post, for the 1st part of the massage, the client will have to change into the loose “pajamas” provided. From the first contact of the masseur’s finger/hand on my back, I could tell that the masseur was really well trained & experienced. His hands/fingers were firm, strong & warm. His moves were well executed and non-hesitant. My body felt so relaxed after each strong presses or skilful stretches. After the 1hr Thai massage, I was then told to remove my clothing to continue the 2nd part (oil massage). It was also a very relaxing and strong massage. During the whole session, there wasn’t a slightest hint that there might be any HE. It was a purely professional massage done right. I tried to chat with the masseur and maybe extract a warm embrace from him. But he couldn’t speak any English and he left me to change pretty quickly. After the massage, down at the lounge, I was offered a hot lemongrass tea drink & hot towel. I tipped the masseur “Don” 600 bht on exit. Massage (9/10). Based on my conversation I had with the masseur on the following day, the masseur will get 200bht out of the 600bht for the 2hr massage.

 

Based on my experience, I think if you want a strong massage, choose a package from the menu that includes "Thai" massage. Those who is qualified to deliver good "Thai" massage must have enough strength & finger pressure to do all the acupuncture points presses.

Outdoor Night Bazaar (Along Silom Road)

Walking out of the Prime massage, I decided to search for a restaurant to eat. I walked towards the BTS direction & discovered that the whole stretch of Silom Road was blocked for the outdoor night bazaar (possibly only at weekend or Sunday?). Lots of stalls selling all kinds of stuffs, clothes, food, drinks etc.

I walked around trying out the local delicacies e.g. the braised pig feet (45 bht)

There were street performers. I saw two person dressed in Superman & Batman costumes, pacing around in search of some bad villains. I had to tip them a little (50 bht) for their effort.

 

 

Tawan Bar - 2nd visit

This was my last night in Bangkok and I planned to off someone in Tawan. So at around 9.30pm, I walked over to Tawan bar, paid 400bht entry fee and order a bottle of mineral water. The 2nd boy from last night JO show was seated less than an arm length away. As I felt bad about last night of not tipping the 2nd boy instead, I immediately tipped him 100bht & thanked him for his great performance. We shaked hands & he sat close to me & chat a little.

Among the boys available that night, I spotted “Lun” among the boys on the stage posing (...I think it is him ). He would be my fantasy come true if I offed him. But I thought he is so unattainable … at least for now … for now I should lower my expectation & look for someone less popular & perhaps less demanding & more accommodating. I waved the mamasan over & tried to pick his brain. As I wanted to try a long time off, I thought it would be easier if I choose a Tawan boy who is not yet married. As I recalled, some of the posts mentioned that most Tawan boys are str8 & couldn’t really do long time off ‘cos they have to go back to their wives or girlfriend after each night’s work. I had hope those who have girlfriend might be less required to do so. The mamasan told me all of them are married … that dashed my hope of a long offed.

The mamasan was too quick to make that comment ‘cos later when I point at 2 other boys, he told me they are still single. I promptly choose one of the boys and the mamasan got him over in a jiffy. The boy sat very close to me with his body leaning against mine. I could immediately feel his body warmth through his skin contact. It was a great feeling. I was actually amazed at how the boy’s body temperature could be so warm while wearing only the posing brief in an air-con room. We talked and I inquired about his rate for the short & long off. It seemed to be the standard rate for now i.e. 2000 short, 3000 long. I didn’t bother to negotiate as I am unsure of how Tawan boys would react to trimming a few hundred bhts. Finally, I have decided to offed him. So I tip the mamasan 100 bht for his help, paid 500bht bar fine, and be out of Tawan bar by 10:15pm before the show even started.

We walked back to the hotel, though I didn’t have the courage to grab his hand & hold hands like a loving couple… haha … I will have to try that next time. The lady at the hotel reception gave me a knowing smile. The boy passed his ID to the guard by the lift and up we went to my room. Suffice to say, we had a lot of cuddling, some light kissing & so on. Given that I admitted to not knowing what to do with the extra half hour if I choose a 1.5hr massage, I quickly realized that I also didn’t really know what to do after sex. Perhaps someone could give me some guidance?  

The boy could speak some conversational English but not very fluent. Although he claimed that a certain farang sponsored him to a 60hr English course, he told me he could only remember some of the things taught in the course.

 

The only thing I could think of was more cuddling during sleep. But that actually was quite uncomfortable for an extended period of time. My arms will be numb and I couldn’t really fall asleep with someone breathing so close to me and I could feel his heart beat. I suspect it was the same for the boy. At around 2:15am, after some texting in the dark, the boy dressed up and announced he has to leave ‘cos his girlfriend texted him. I was a little disappointed but at the same time I was relieved that finally I can get some real sleep alone. The boy offered to reduced the off fee to 2500bht. I paid him & he kissed me goodbye and left. I think that Sunday night was Valentine Day and it was understandable that his girlfriend also want to spend some time with him. The boy identity would be kept as a secret. All in all, it was OK for my first offed but not as memorable as I would like it to be.

Well, actually, you are not required to tip at all for a proper massage. However, in the touristy areas it is of course expected, especially from farangs and other foreigners. But Thais typically tip as well as far as I know. But it is not required. Except Prime which asks for a minimum of 100 as posted above (same at The Green I think, which happens to be run by a former Prime employee (or maybe even current and they are affiliated?), hence the similar decor and same tea and cold (or was it hot? can't remember now) towel at the end).

 

Depending on the quality and duration of the massage (almost always do 1.5 hrs, though), I give anything between 100 and 300, more only if really really outstanding. If there is a HE, then the tip becomes 500, possibly more if the massage itself was very good, too. Have given up to 1000 at Prime for fantastic massage plus HE. In another case 700 or 800 for a massage that was not as strong as I like, but very sensual and thus super-enjoyable, plus an expert, far above average HE.

You are right in suspecting this is only weekends. In fact only on (some) Sundays in the cool season, from December to about February/March. It was on in January, then off so I thought it's over early this year, but then came back that Sunday you were there. 

 

As for foods there, something not easily found elsewhere is Gai Ob Ohng, or chicken roasted in a large earthen jar. The chicken are suspended from the rim along the inner wall of the jar, with a coal fire at the bottom. Makes for tasty, tender and juicy chicken. A whole is 180 Baht, half 90, and 2 legs 60.

 

 

The Prime:

Interestingly, I had the same professional experience with a guy there, he even completely ignored my erection (which I was unable to avoid lol). When I booked him again, the same happend. However the third time it wasn't ignored and he gave a HE. 

 

600 was very generous indeed, as explained in my post before. 

 

As for your conclusion that the combination course Thai+oil might yield a very good masseur, sounds like an interesting logic I can agree with. However, while I like the very strong oil massage by that same guy just mentioned, I also tried his Thai massage one time but didn't find it that great. Hmmm....Conlcusion: you can never know in advance. If you get a really good one, get his name and book again.

I am no expert on the whole off-thing, but why would he be "unattainable"? Money talks and if you off, you off and pay for it. 

 

And you don't know what to do after sex? What do you do in "normal" life after sex? Cuddling, talking, enjoying the company, .... just treat him as your BF of the moment, which is I believe something what many are delivering as part of the deal, so to speak. They are not machines, but normal human beings, so you can spend time with them just with any other one, BF, ONS or whatever....

Sometimes the masseur will mention a tip of 500 or less often 600 baht before offering a happy ending. Therefore supporting part of the tip guidance provided above.

For a professional massage without extras, 150~200 should be sufficient for an average massage.

I believe 300 is still the minimum daily wage in Thailand.
