TotallyOz Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 There are options. I found the best way to do this on the fly is Western Union. You simply get him to tell you his full name, it is best if he sends a copy of the ID, and then you wire him the money. I do this all the time and have never had an issue. For my BF in Thailand, I leave an ATM card. I prefer Epassporte.com. They will send you a debit card and then you can have money added to it when you desire. It is very easy to do and to keep track of. I suggest not sending money to anyone else if he says send to my friend and I'll get it. That sometimes causes great problems. If he has a bank account you can wire him the money as well. But, it is a pain to do. Western Union can be done online in 10 min or if you don't have an account that lets you send money to Thailand through Western Union go to the store with the Info and do it there. It is a very simply process. Quote
Guest Aunty Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 If it's a one off for xmas, Western union is your best bet. Fast, safe and convenient for both you and him. When I was sending money to a guy in Thailand I used Western Union and I never had a problem with it, and neither did he. I either SMS texted him the security number (MTCN) so he could pick the money up, or I sent him an email. It was simple. The only thing I didn Quote
Guest NiddysNook Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 I have found a boy I like in Patong Beach and I would like to send hime some money for Christmas ... how can I do this and how do I make sure it is him that picks it up. If you go to our online store at www.niddysnook.com you will find an option to send money. It is cheaper than Western Union and is much more personal. You can correspond with us quickly and easily and we confirm when payment has been delivered. Since your friend is in Phuket, the easiest way for us to send him money is just to transfer it directly into his Thailand bank account. We do this free of charge. Please check out our site and let me know if you have any further questions. Sincerely, Niddy's Nook Quote
Guest Bi4Thai Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 I have used Niddys Nook online store on several occasions for cash purchases. I have always received good service and can highly recommend them. Quote
