Guest eztiger Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 We are going to be in Bangkok soon. My bf and I got on PlanetRomeo to check out the local boys and I am up front that I have a partner. The question that keeps coming up is "Is your bf Thai"? He is not, but I wonder why they all ask that. What difference would it make? If the boyfriend is Thai they will back off? haha. Any insight? Jasper Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I think Thai boys prefer both of you are farang or Non-Thai because if you have a Thai partner, he would only be a second fiddle. If your boyfriend was a farang, no competition and no threatening. llz, kokopelli and ChristianPFC 3 Quote
Guest eztiger Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 How can I tell if a boy expects money? Should I assume they will bring it up? Quote
kokopelli Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Ask them but assume they are money boys. Why else would they be selling their ass? dellboy 1 Quote
Guest abang1961 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Naive thoughts by TS. You see, in our farnag world, we are able to differentiate sex from love, I love you but I need nit have sex on a so-defined regular schedule. In the Thai boys (majority of the farm boys from poorer regions). you got to pay for my survival.- tipping and daily allowances, clothes, mobile phones and more....) We are nothing but ATM, sexual genitals...come on, 18 to 25 going out with a Papa. Minimal communication.... Before I sign off, I need to dedicate Madonna's Material Girl to those who are still wanting to find the Prince Charming.. especially the first 2 lines.-.is she lip=singing in Bangkok? Quote
Alexx Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 It's a common question, and my answer usually is, "All of my boyfriends are Thai". vinapu 1 Quote
Guest Stewart Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 My little pudding of delight is from Myanmar but they all seem to have the same mentality when it comes to who you see. Recently he went through my photo album and was asking about all the male photos of some of my current and ex's. Since all of which were european he was pretty relaxed until he came across a photo of a Thai boy where his mood suddenly changed. No matter how hard I explained, that before I met him I could have up to 3 sex partners in a day when on my hols in Pattaya, only seemed to make matters worse. Quote
ChristianPFC Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Not about boyfriend, but often when I tell a Thai friend I am going to see a friend (without specifying nationality, but usually White), he will ask if it's Thai or foreigner. Probably some hidden jealousy or to see if it's competition (Thai) or not (Farang). In your case, Thai would be perceived as competion, or create awkward situation (different social background, education). vinapu 1 Quote
Gaybutton Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 "Is your bf Thai"? Which one? ChristianPFC 1 Quote

All completely irrational, but not surprising. Assuming nothing gets lost in translation, why on earth should they even expect they were the first one ? Quote
Alexx Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 All completely irrational, but not surprising. And I would add, if you cannot handle irrational, you'll be in for quite a ride with a Thai boyfriend. traveller123 and DivineMadman 2 Quote
Guest erected Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 When you already have a partner/ playmate and you are looking for a commercial-boy to join in, most likely he will ask the following: Is he a friend or bf? Is he Thai or farang? If the fellow you are with is Thai he will ask for his photo or profile name on GR or some other gay social network. This is because most of the money-boys feel a bit uncomfortable being with another Thai that they may know. If the 3rd person arrives at your place and he does notice who the Thai is (sees him in the same neighborhood or friend of a friend) he is very cautious because of rumors the other Thai young man may spread or feels more reserved about having fun in a 3-some.) ChristianPFC Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 I travel a lot, and when Thai boys message me and ask "What are you doing now" / "Where are you", the follow up is inevitably "Who are with". I do not understand the importance of traveling alone or with someone, although I notice that Thai boys rarely go somewhere alone, I even saw two boys at a hairdresser, one got a haircut, the other was just accompanying his friend. I suspect there are several possible reasons for asking "who you are with?" or "you travel alone ?" 1 He has more chance of a date or selling his services to people alone (ie people without boyfriends present) 2 He doesn't like joining threesomes & having to service 2 other clients 3 He has a limited English vocabulary & this is one of the stock phrases. This is absolutely correct. Same reason when you want to arrange a threesome, it is best not to take 2 boys from the same bar. While there may be some rare exceptions, most Thais guys would be very reluctant to play around with their friends or acquaintances. The rumor mill and back-chatting among them can be vicious. There are several of my BF's friends that I would love to play with, but it just doesn't happen. Quote
