Popular Post Aux1010 Posted December 22, 2015 Popular Post Posted December 22, 2015 Hi guys, returned from my first trip to Bangkok / Pattaya a few weeks ago and thought I'd write a small trip-report, as I've really enjoyed reading the ones posted here previously. A couple of prefaces first; 1) I'm probably not really your typical sex tourist in regards to age etc. I'm a 33 year old guy, average - OK looks (definitely on the 'straight / masculine' side; shaved head, beard, tattoos etc), just the typical sort of guy you'd see on the piss at your local rugby club with the boys (and yes, I'm from New Zealand if you were wondering about the rugby reference). I don't normally have much trouble picking up decent guys when at home, but have been busy with work over the last couple of years (and have also put on a bit of weight due to too much beer, lol, which has left me a bit self-conscious) so haven't been as 'active' as I used to; so Thailand just became a bit of a fantasy for an easy hook-up with cute guys (also, I'm very much into my East / South East Asian boys, so that are was a natural choice!). 2) I am quite a heavy drinker (and was on the piss pretty much every night I was there), so this report is going to be a bit more of a general gloss-over of my trip, as opposed to the day-to-day break-downs that are often posted, as my memory of 'some' nights is a bit hazy! I arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport in the early hours of 17/November and took a taxi to Silom, where I was staying at Le Vanvarothai Saladaeng Residence (on Soi Yommarat, off Saladaeng Road, which is off Silom Road, around the corner from Senso Massage), which I'd booked through AirBnB; about a 15ish minute walk to Soi Twilight. The place was nice enough, an apartment / condo style (big size too), which I prefer, as I like to be able to do my own washing etc and not get too much disturbance from house keeping etc. When I do visit again though, I will choose somewhere a bit closer to the action; even though I do like doing a lot of walking, I found it was just a little too far in the heat etc. No problems taking boys back (the night-time Security guy was asleep a lot of the time, and I also brought him a beer each time I'd come back in the early evenings, so we got on well, even when he was awake and I brought a boy or two back). I had only planned to spend one week in Bangkok and then head to Pattaya, but I wanted to get some tattoo work done by a certain artist at BKK Ink and he wasn't available until my second week there, so ended up staying two weeks. I'm not a day person (at home I work solely night shifts), and me and the sun don't get on well (I burn VERY easily), so my general routine was to sleep during the day, wake up in the afternoon, go and get something to eat on Silom Road (either street-food or at a restaurant depending on my mood), go back to the apartment and have a 'few' beers then head into town. I did the majority of my drinking on Soi Twilight. I know the prices are a bit ridiculous by Thai standards, but for me it was a long overdue holiday, and such a new experience (re: boy gogo bars etc), that I wasn't really too concerned about the money side of things. Regardless, where I live is quite expensive to go out drinking anyways, and at a lot of places you'd easily pay the equilivent beer price, but without hot naked boys, so it didn't seem too expensive!! Mainly I'd just go and watch the shows at either X-Size, Dream Boys or Fresh Boys, then go and drink at Banana Bar and either off one of the boys from there or one of the boys walking past after finishing at one of the show-bars. As a first timer I definitely enjoyed the shows, as it was something very different from what's available at home, but to be honest I was expecting a bit more hard-core action (just based on previous post on the message boards, videos I've seen on-line etc), and I think I'd get sick of them fairly quickly. I did check out Nature Boys on one occasion, but found it a bit TOO small and as the only customer at the time felt like I was the one on show lol!! I also had a look at Screw Boys, which had some cute boys, but my trip there was the result of the advice of a lying mamasan, which kind of tainted the experience. I am a bit of a fan of BDSM / spanking etc. A few of the guys I initially went with we did get into a bit of that (after seeking their permission first), but afterwards I could tell they really hadn't enjoyed it, so I ended up feeling bad for them and didn't try that again with future guys (just really doesn't seem to be a common fetish in Thailand like it is in a lot of European countries). Most of the guys I went with, we just got on the piss, then went home and slept together then played around the morning / afternoon when we woke up; which is my preferred sequence of events. After two days getting my tattoo finished, two weeks had been enough Bangkok for me. The congestion, the smell, the pollution, the heat, not enough decent sleep and the excessive drinking had really just left me exhausted, so it was time to check out Pattaya. I ordered a taxi through Pattaya Express Taxis; if I didn't have so much luggage (not that I had that much, but I didn't want to be dragging it around in the heat) I might have looked at a cheaper option, but for 1200 Baht I was happy. Easy on-line booking and very fast confirmation of the booking. The driver was waiting for me at the arranged time. I had booked a Camry, but ended up with a Fortuner for the same price. The driver was pleasant, but was pretty tired (had to stop for coffee at one stage, which I was fine with, but was just a little concerned that he might drift off to sleep while doing 120KPH!). I was staying at the View Talay 6 (next to the Hilton / Central Festival), which I'd also booked through AirBnB. Nice and tidy place, but again just a little further than I would have preferred from BoyzTown etc (about a 15ish minute walk, which would normally be nothing...but in that heat it feels a lot further!). I was really keen to see some hard-core shows, so on the suggestion of another poster I started at X-Boys. Show was OK, but nothing overly exciting...but then I met Soe (one of the Gogo boys, but not in the show). He'd been sitting next to me earlier in the night, and the mamasan had asked if I was interested and I said no thanks. But after a few more beers I noticed just how cute and intense his smile was, so invited him for a drink. He told me to wait until 2am, as that's when he finished work and that he would meet me at the 7/11 (so no off-fee, which was a bonus). So we met up there then went drinking at one of the bars on Walking Street. I did later discover that X-Boys do a fuck show later in the week (Thursday onwards?), and although it's fairly short, it's the only one I found during my trip. After that he came back to my apartment. I wasn't too sure what the story was in regards to bringing guests back and really couldn't be fucked with having to sign them in etc (yes, I was well aware that if there were any 'issues' etc, that I'd have very little come-back if the guy hadn't provided ID, but on balance I was willing to take the risk). When we got to the lift the Security Guard motioned for us to stop, I just pressed the lift button and told him that Soe was my friend and it was OK / not to worry about it. He made a comment to Soe in Thai and I could tell by the look on his face / tone of his voice, and the look on Soe's face, that it wasn't a nice comment. I asked Soe to tell me what he'd said, but he wouldn't and was obviously embarrassed about what the Guard had said. At the end of the day, it was probably better he didn't tell me, as I'm not a small guy (6ft'2, 200 pounds), spent quite a few years working as a bouncer at some rough nightclubs, and after that many beers probably would have had a go at the Guard and got myself in trouble and / or arrested. Soe stayed the night / till the next afternoon. When he went to leave I gave him money and he seemed somewhat surprised (although appreciative); so I'm still trying to figure out what his original intentions of going with me were? The next night I was walking to X-Boys again, when I ran into Soe who was on his night off and had just been for dinner. We went drinking and ended up at BoyzBoyzBoyz for the 0030hrs show (he'd initially wanted to go to one of the cabaret shows, but I was still really fascinated with the boy shows!). The show was good, and erotic, with hot boys (young, fit, handsome, non-femme), but then there were WAY too much lady-boy acts, lip syncing etc (I did later discover that the 2230hrs show has all the hot boy antics, but without the lady-boys, so definitely more to my taste!). After the bars we got beers / whisky from the 7/11 and went and drank at the beach and listened to music until sunrise. Again he came back to my apartment (this time Security were busy signing in a guys girl and didn't even notice us). Soe had already said he didn't want any money for the night, he just wanted to sleep with me; still trying to figure him out! Nearly every other night of the week we had the same routine, we'd meet at X-Boys around 2200hrs, we'd go drinking on Walking Street, then drinking at the beach, then back to my place to sleep and play around during the day. After a few nights Security didn't bother us anymore. We mainly drank in straight-bars on Walking Street, but we did on a couple of occasions go to Sunee Plaza. The first night we went to Eros. About three or four other customers, one giving a boy a hand-job on one of the couches (he was joined by another boy shortly after who he also started jerking off), and a couple of boys jerking off by themselves. Cheap drinks, but the place just felt (and smelled) dirty..smelled like a dirty locker-room. If I was quite drunk and alone and super-horny I could probably have had fun there, but with someone else (who seemed like a nice guy) it just felt wrong. Another night we went to Power Boys, two other customers (who had a couple of boys sitting with them), but only a few other boys in the place. After the other customers left the boys had a small birthday celebration for one of the boys, which was cute to watch. Both of the above nights were a Thursday / Friday night, so was a little surprised at the lack of customers! X-Boys was the same, most nights only half a dozen customers on average. BoyzBoyzBoyz was the only place that actually seemed to get busy (and a fair proportion of customers were Japanese females). Just as a side not, my last Saturday night there was the King's Birthday. I was thinking everything might be closed, but Boyztown was pretty much open as normal, although Sunee was even quieter than the other nights, with a lot of places closed. Anyways, so I don't want to say that I fell in love with Soe (not quite that stupid / naive)...but I was very sad to leave him after our week together and I do hope to see him again on any future trips. Arrived back home on 8/December (also used Pattaya Express Taxis to get to the airport; on-time and better vehicle than ordered again). As a highlight, there has actually been a very positive outcome from my trip. As noted, I had been in a bit of a rut regarding seeing guys for the last couple of years due to work and being self-conscious about being a lot less in-shape than I use to be. Being in Thailand reminded me what I was missing in regards to spending time with guys and also gave me back a bit of confidence in regards to interacting / spending time with guys. So when I got back home I got myself back into the game and have met a really nice, cute, young Filipino guy who I've been seeing for the last couple of weeks. He has a good job and citizenship, so at-least I know he's not after something financial, and he seems to think I'm doing HIM a favour by spending time together (even though I let him know how much I enjoy spending time with him too!!). Reading back, this has not been a 'short' report as I initially intended..but as also noted, the main reason I posted this was due to the fact I've really appreciated the trip reports generated by others, so wanted to try and contribute too!! It also seems like a fair bit is about me rather than Thailand, but again, it's the thought that counts, lol!! Thanks to all that have had the patience to read this. Hopefully it's the first of many reports.... Posted to Sawatdee and Gaythailand boards, as I've found both useful. musgrave, TotallyOz, paulsf and 8 others 11 Quote

vinapu Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Hopefully it's the first of many reports.... and we hope too, Thank you for your effort, I know how much time it takes to put some report together but reward is that all those cherished moments are coming back to us. Return to Thailand soon ! Don't fall in love in Thailand before you become seasoned renter of it - you too young for a broken heart! TotallyOz 1 Quote
firecat69 Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Loved your report. Surprised you experienced unfriendly guards at VT6. I have spent 100's of nights there and never a problem although they do ask for boy to leave ID. Not sure why because I am quite sure they record nothing and just give the boy his ID when he hands them his visitor card. Sex shows are limited in Pattaya but it sounds like you missed ToyBoys etc which although no shows almost always have plenty of boys and customers depending on time you arrive. Agree completely about Eros! Thanks for taking the time. TotallyOz 1 Quote

Just to clarify, it was only that one Guard at VT6 who seemed to have an issue, the rest of them were friendly and didn't even bother taking ID when I told them not to worry about it. Excellent report! I have stayed at VT6 and no issues. But, I don't mind them taking ID cards there or at hotels. It is for my own safety. I know often a PITA but it is OK with me. Most places in Thailand do not do this that I have stayed at. But, every place I visit in Brazil requires this and security will make sure they have this before someone goes to your room. Quote

Haha, if you can take the Bledisloe Cup you're welcome to it; must be about time anyways, since you haven't won it in what....thirteen years . Either way, at least we've got the Rugby World Cup tucked away for another four years. Yup, we're lucky to have some amazing spaces here, something I was reminded of when returning from my trip! Guest Promsak Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Thanks AUX1010 for an excellent report. I would point out that the checking of ID cards protects you from problems -- underage etc. But more important, it protects other tenants. Some boys have been known to prowl corridors after leaving the client (I've seen printouts from security cameras). All of the boys know and accept this -- unless they've something to hide. The security guard should ask politely and you should reply in a similar manner. He's doing his job. Quote

Again, just to clarify, in-case I came across as a bit militant in my first post...despite the first Guard I encountered getting my hackles-up, I was nothing but polite and friendly to all the Guards the entire time I was there (as I endeavour to be with anyone I interact with, no matter what the situation). The first few times I brought a guy back (same guy every night), they'd look at us expectantly (I assume in regards to ID), but on those occasions I'd just say it's OK / my friend / no problems...if they'd asked further / specifically requested ID, I wouldn't have interfered, as it would have been more trouble than it was worth, but they didn't. Merry Christmas from the ultimate Grinch (hence why I'm on the beers now, in anticipation of sleeping all day). :-) Quote

Sometimes they leave an ID and sometimes they do not.. At any rate there are no calls made , they just give a room #. In addition if they wanted to they never have to see a guard. Just take a right before the elevators into the stairwell. Climb 1 fight and then take elevator any floor they wish. Real security is nonexistent! Quote

Are you talking about VT6 (as in you can walk up the stairwell to the next floor)? If I'd know that I'd have been set lol, and if that's the case I'll also look at staying there again next trip (I know the boys providing ID isn't a major issue, there's just something about it that I don't like). Yes VT6 or you can go in the lower level of parking and take that elevator up and avoid the guards. Frankly I see absolutely no reason to bother with either of these because the guards could care less anywhere in VT6. Quote
