forky123 Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I am coming for my second visit to Thailand in October. I loved my visit to Bangkok and Pattaya in February but I'm thinking of doing Bangkok and a different city or resort such as Koh Samui or maybe Chiang Mai. I'm looking for somewhere a little less full on than Pattaya but still with Gay Massage or maybe a Go-Go Bar or two. Anyone have any recommendations? I intend to spend 4 or 5 days in BaAngkor, then 10 days or so elsewhere, then back to Bangkok for my last few days. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Quote
paulfort Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I would probably suggest Patong Beach in Phuket as an alternative, it is about an hours flight from Bangkok, much nicer scenery, the beaches are clean, snorkelling which I love is fantastic very near to the main resort area, effectively Pattong is a little bit like a mini but much cleaner version of Pattaya. I think if you still want some go go bars other then Chiang Mai this is probably your only option. The Paradise Complex in the centre of the resort has a small selection of Go go bars, and some other nice bars and a couple of clubs, I would strongly recommend Club one seven as a place to stay, not far from the Paradise Complex and extremely friendly and comfortable! ChristianPFC Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 There are gay bars in Hua Hin (no personal experience) and Hat Yai (only host bar here). Udon Thani and Khon Kaen have some gay massage (don't know how much English they speak). Chiang Mai and Phuket would be my recommendation (assuming for second visit to Thailand you want to go some place used to tourists). Quote
zombie Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I also would recommend Phuket especially Patong Beach. But if you want it quieter can find some resorts away from Patong but with access to it. I stayed in Phuket last month (June). Even though raining on a few days, there is plenty to do in the day and at night. There are some great beaches and many excellent seafood restaurants. The night life whilst not on a par with BKK or Pattaya is vibrant with more than enough to choose from. Quote
Guest Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I stayed in Patong Beach Paradise Complex several years ago & have no plans to do so again. I was on about the third or fourth floor, yet was kept awake until 3~4:00 am by some disco in the basement of a nearby building. So next time I would stay a little further away from the action. Of course, if you actually like discos every night, this would be OK for you. [Presumably you have worked out that October is at the tail end of the rainy season]. Quote

Yeah, going last week of October, first two weeks of November. If it rains, I'll get wet. Me enjoying my holiday doesn't rely on it being sunny though if it rains solidly for 3 weeks I might change my mind :-) biguyby 1 Quote
