I have researched and updated current short-stay places. The closest to Lion's but in Lapa area is Hotel La Costa, 850 metres distance at 13 Francisco Muratori. There are others further northwest into Centro but the closest of all remains southerly, Hotel Alameda (A) directly across from Clube 117, 550 metres from Lion's, and the cheapest. The other two options remain Hotel/Suites Challon (C) a modestly steep uphill climb 350 metres west from #117 to #521, and Hotel Lovetime (L) 200 metres south of Metro Gloria, also a litle closer to Lion's than La Costa in Lapa.

Well after 6 years I’m back in Rio and what a 2 weeks it’s been so far. club 117 remains the best the hottest and the horniest spot on the planet I’ve been there 6 nights a week for 2 weeks and wow just wow. I love that 99% of the guys are as straight as you can be when you have gay sex for a living ! Hi, this week I went to Point 202 in Rio , on Wednesday - free suites night. There was a reasonable offer of garotos, and they were maybe 2 times the quantity of patrons. At some point I saw Junior (the owner) talking behind a table with a stunning guy - really like a Greek god, escultural body, blue eyes , etc... never saw such kind of guy in a sauna, not even in Lagoa. Questions for a Trip to Brazil Fall 2018 I know various members have provided thoughts in different postings, but not always cohesive nor in agreement. Is it too cold for the beach now? Is it easy to meet new “friends” at the beach, and is it too dangerous to trust such new friends wherever you go to play? At saunas, seems like most programmas are around 100 R$. Is 150R$ reasonable if both of us have a happy ending and maybe have some kink too? For Brazil, do folks use sex hotels rather than pay for play saunas? I recently discovered that, by law, idade 65+ Metro users ride for free. I recently reached this milestone. I have done it on Metro and VLT. The hitch is one is required to show proof. I am reluctant to carry my passport but it has been hit and miss attempting to use my color xerox copy. Having the often hunky Metro cops get their fob out to turnstile me through is an added bonus. I have seen varying recommendations for the best time to head to the saunas. When I am visiting Rio, I typically spend the day on the beach, have a light dinner, then head to the saunas, maybe arriving around 6 or 7 pm. There are often many guys there working at that time, and some of them head out after scoring with a single client., but others will hang around all night and try to hook up with 5 or 6 or more clients. I'm curious what the recommendations of other users are. My experience has shown that there are many factors to consider. One is your own energy level, especially considering your alcohol intake. I enjoy drinking on the beach, and I usually imbibe when I am at the saunas, so (for me, at least) that's a factor. Another is the availability of the guys, and their individual situations: many of them will hang out all night, looking to score multiple times, while others will score once and head home. Several times I have arrived, only to see very hot guys heading out the door. Yet another wrinkle is cumming. I have had guys tell me that they can't afford to cum yet, because they want to hang around for several more hours and make more money, so they want a bump in pay if you want them to shoot earlier in the evening (and, correspondingly, I have found that guys are more willing to cum later in the evening, when they figure they can make me their last client, and head home after. This discussion is, of course, very circumstantial. Bottom/top/straight/gay/single/married...all of this has the potential to affect their mood and their availability. I am planning a trip to Brazil in the middle of March 2018 (arriving in São Paulo on Saturday morning, departing from Rio on Sunday, 8 days later), and I would appreciate some guidance. Judging from old posts about the best days/times in the saunas, my current plan would be to arrive in São Paulo on Saturday, and travel to Rio on Tuesday morning, so that I was able to make it to 117 on Tuesday night? I will be there from Saturday through the following Sunday, and I can travel from São Paulo to Rio at any point during the week. Does Tuesday sound like a good plan? I have been to Rio before and don't mind waiting if it means I can experience something great in São Paulo. Also, since this will be my first time in São Paulo, what neighborhood should I stay in? I like cruising bars as well as saunas, so any suggestions would be appreciated. I already know that I plan to try out Peep and Bar Fama and The Week São Paulo, but have no specific plans other than the beach when I get to Rio. -
