The iPad2 weighed in at 600 grams (or 1.33 lbs.) The iPad3 weighs 652 grams (or 1.44 lbs.) FH, I know this was an important factor in your consideration, so you will have to determine if the new features are more important to you than weight. Up to you. However, if you buy this thing, I will be green with envy. And Khor Tose, eat your heart out!
