Spent a pleasant week in Pattaya at the end of October, stayed in the Poseidon in the Jomtien Complex in a very nice and recently refurbished suite for the first few days. I then decamped to an apartment just across the road in View Talay 2 for the remainder of the stay. The apartment was on the top floor, and very nicely furnished, complete with a jacuzzi. Stepping out of the lift one evening I was greeted by a boy who looked vaguely familiar. I may have seen him at one of the bars at some point. A bit taller than me but quite slim, not bad looking, probably in his mid twenties. I stepped aside to let him into the lift but he showed no interest in leaving the floor. We chatted briefly. He asked for a drink of water, and, happy to oblige I let him into the apartment. “Let’s play” came next and so did I, after a while. We shared a shower and as I started to towel off he slipped out of the bathroom and into the kitchen. I was suspicious and followed just in time to see him make a grab for a note on the counter. I wasn’t sure what it was but it later turned out to be just a five euro note, worth less than 200 baht. He was still naked and dripping wet from the shower when I surprised him and caught him by the wrist. He hadn’t a chance to conceal the note, not that there were many possibilities for concealment. He looked startled and confused as he momentarily considered his options, which may have included: 1. Make a break from the apartment, run naked down the corridor, wait for the lift, travel down to the ground floor, run naked out the front of the building, past security, to safety. 2. Surrender and wait for the inevitable security call to arrive and hand him over to the police 3. Place himself at the mercy of his host Or perhaps he wasn’t the brightest of operators and hadn’t figured out his options. In any case I wasn’t letting go so he opened his fist and surrendered the note. I told him to get dressed, standing guard naked over him as he did so, trying not to smile at the comedy of the situation, and the look on his face. In the end I tipped him as if nothing had happened and sent him on his way. The tip included the five euro note.

It is our first time in Pattaya. Finally bought the tickets, booked a condo in Jomtien and dived straight in. Along the way this forum’s contributors provided a wealth of valuable advice and, in turn, I want to share a little of our experiences by way of acknowledgement, and also in the hope that it might encourage and inform some other potential newbies. I am Irish and Adhik is Nepalese – we are polar opposites in all things but one - we are both tops. I had allowed myself the luxury of an early start, arriving four days in advance to get over jet lag and check out the lie of the land. Off the airport bus, into the condo nearby and what a view from the room, seventeen floors up and overlooking Dongtan beach! A quick shower and down to the Jomtien Complex next door. The letharge of travel disappeared in a moment. Past the massage shops on the way in, cute boys offering a Thai welcome, then The Venue with the Thursday night show in full flight. No entry charge, just buy a drink, and settle down for something new, for me at least, a hugely entertaining ensemble of dancing boys, lip-synching ladyboys and one very Hot boy in particular. Enough for the first night, just off the plane…maybe, maybe not. Walked the length of the street enjoying the boys all around, not sure where to look at times, settled down in Question Mark Bar for a few drinks with a handsome Thai boy, enough for the first night? Maybe, maybe not, a little light on my mobile phone is blinking… Friday and Saturday are spent getting to know the place, road testing a couple of bottoms, massage in the room, drinks in the bars. Jet lag is cruel, just when you think you’re over it, back it comes with a sucker punch. Slept until Sunday afternoon. Monday morning was breakfast in bed with a boy called Red, not his real name of course, not even his fake name, no names on here are real. Now I said I was beside Dongtan Beach, the famous gay beach, but up to now I had avoided it. In my country we put on clothes to go to the beach, and go swimming in wetsuits. I am not a sun and surf kind of guy. But it was time to dip my toe in the water, so off I went – what happens at a gay beach anyway? Construction work along the beachfront is disruptive, but good to see a big pipeline going in to catch all the outfalls running down to the shore, water quality is important on a beach. The gay section is marked by rainbow flags though the area is largely men only on either side as well. I settle on a sun lounger under a canopy of sun shades looking out over the sea, chilled coke drink in hand. Stunning. An stream of vendors offer massage, drinks, ices, Viagra. The last one must have known about the jet lag. In the heat of the day guys from the surrounding concessions make their way down the sand and into the surf to seek relief in the Gulf of Thailand. A public toilet would be a good addition. It is blissful but I am restless all the same. Adhik is due in this evening so I leave the beach to catch the airport bus. Smiling with relief, we connect beside the Pattaya bus gate at the airport. Two hours later we are trundling past the entrance to the Jomtien Complex on the way to the condo when Adhik decides to see it first hand. It is 10pm and the street is hopping. We run the gauntlet of dozens of boys all welcoming him to Thailand it seems. I didn’t think you could see a Nepalese blush. Things are going to get very interesting.

Just got back from a brief trip to Jomtien Beach for the weekend. I have never been a Pattaya fan and until this trip i just didn't understand the place. I must say this was one of the funnest trips i have ever had in Thailand. Or at least in the past decade or so. Where to start? Jomtien Complex wasn't too busy but not eerily deserted. I hate being the only customers in a bar and being sized up by all the boys. Most of the places on the main strip had some customers and it seemed just right to me. The price of the drinks is an absolute bargain. I live in Bangkok at the moment and have basically abandoned going to Soi Twilight because it is so expensive and it just doesn't seem so friendly these days. I prefer the company of Thai boys vs. VN or Cambodian guys and the fact I speak Lao a fair amount makes all of those Issan twinks nice for me to talk to in JT complex. I am a fan of the beer bar or terrace bar much more than gogos. In this sense JT is a great place for me. I tried Sunnee awhile ago but it seemed pretty dead Boyztown isn't my thing. JT in comparison seems relatively vibrant. The selection of twinks is pretty good. I love a twink with a nice pliable, bubble butt. There are plenty of these types to choose from. I stayed at Poseidon at the entrance of the main soi. I really enjoyed it there. I felt they really made me feel at home. The owner Heiko is a very friendly guy and all of the staff were as well, sometimes hilariously so. I said I can be a bit shy and he and a bunch of his German friends laughed and told me some of their antics, there was a feeling of camaraderie. The rooms are nice enough traditional sort of artsy fartsy boutique hotel furnishing. I mean that in a good way there is a sense of style there. The service is fantastic and you do not need to feel shy about taking guests here. And that is where we get to the part everybody reading a Pattaya report wants to read. The pool is very small but in an indoor air conditioned room with a small bar. In the day time it looks abandoned (of course this is low season so don't know how it is during the peak) but as their website discreetly informs you they are very friendly to guests and you can bring anybody you want to join you. Okay so what could possibly make a small indoor pool such a big detail in the reason I chose this place? Well my partner figured the formula out for this. Go out around the complex and round up about 4 available twink power bottoms, make sure they have speedos and bring them in to the pool after bar closing. We had the pool to ourselves and the really funny manager Lucky was installed to babysit us and keep our glasses topped up. I can not stress enough how funny and crazy Lucky is. He isn't my type or a twink but I can see he understands what I do like. He is just genuinely good company and a really playful light hearted man. He isn't an imposing presence and as soon as he comes in with the boys he makes it very clear you don't need to be shy just because he is there. He also drank and swam with us. Because he joined in the fun i felt much less apprehensive. He became more of a friend than some random staff member observing us. As far as the twinks go, now you are in the jacuzzi being served and surrounded by very friendly boys with sultry dick sucking lips and asses that are going to need to be accommodated at some point. My partner was drunk so I got a boy to go buy some kamagra gell for him to eat and he sat there the entire time with a hard on plopping out of his trunks with a twink on his lap with a big shit eating grin. He had never tried kamagra or viagra before. The boys were playful enough and although nothing too hard core happened in the pool area got a nice set of photos that are pretty horny for a souvenir. It could have probably got much more wild but I am not really into sex in public. Obviously if you aren't in the pool alone late at night you might exercise discretion depending on the vibe and who is around. One really cute boy was in the jacuzzi grinding his speedo clad ass into my partners willing face though, so it was close to becoming a bit heavier. If these guys are just doing it for the money they are very good actors because all of them were hard and demanding pretty constant attention. i guess with 4 of them around and only two farang, competition is a good thing. Lucky's BF showed up at some point, another nice Thai guy and they seemed amused at the circus atmosphere that had sprouted up. At some point Lucky went into the kitchen and brought out some plates of smoked salmon and sashimi with salad. There was a birthday party in the restaurant earlier and I assume it was left over from that but it was comped so it was a very nice gesture. It was also very good. We were spending pretty freely and the atmosphere was amazing so I am not sure if this would be normal or if they upped the service a notch because we were spending. I am guessing some combination of both. They have a great selection of wine at pretty good prices for a place in Thailand. I think we were paying just north of 1,000 Baht a bottle. But of course with 6 horny guys swimming we worked up a thirst so it does add up if you drink 6 bottles. lol In hindsight I might have suggested the boys drank beer to economize but you only live once. By this time i had other more pressing matters on my mind than my wallet anyway. We had a one bedroom suite and next time I will get the two bedroom. My poor back and knees had problems fucking the boy on a hard tile floor. They did bring a duvet and pillows for me as I explained the situation to them. Again Lucky seemed amused at my predicament, in a good way. My partner met me when I was myself a twink and we are an old married couple so we prefer to use and abuse boys in privacy apart from one another. The boy I ended up with was a hungry power bottom and that suits me just fine. At some point in the evening he was riding and grinding on it so hard I began to feel slightly used like I was simply some human dildo installed in the room only for his amusement. I quickly got over the shame of this. I don't have any idea of his name or if he is on GR or Grindr but Big kiss bar always had one or two twinks there. That is where I found him. Just look for the twink with the come fuck me eyes and he is easily spotted. Eating recommendation near there is Pastrami on Rye. Nothing satisfies a hunger inducing session of sodomy more than a pastrami sandwich. It is a match made in heaven. lol The car from Poseidon is good and the driver played western music at a tolerable level. it was also very spacious and comfortable. don't remember the make but it was a nice car and good service. Probably a couple hundred Baht more than you can get a car for elsewhere but no haggling and door to door service. I was feeling a bit queasy from the previous nights antics so appreciated the comfort. So the lessons I learned about the Pattaya area have made me change my mind about the place. My formula is like this. 1. Stay a shorter time but live better 2. Stay in a place that encourages and embraces your perversity. The hotel did not make me feel shy no matter what. Believe it or not I am a shy guy. I would never dream of dragging a crew such as this into my Bangkok condo. 3. Budget enough for the time you are in Pattaya to act on whatever deviant impulse you have and not worry. 4. Don't go to often. Simple point here if you go too often it is the same boys who get clingy and it would get old. I plan to visit maybe once every three months. 5. Even if you can get a hard on make sure to have viagra or kamagra so you can avoid whiskey dick. I find with myself I am actually a bit horny recounting this tale but i can have issues when demanded to perform. Condoms as well this should be self explanatory in this day and age. 6. Do not wake up before 2 PM. 7. The temples are great and so is the golf? lol My new budget for Pattaya is around $500 a day but I live in Bangkok so I can go anytime for just a weekend of filth and sleaze. This is a bit excessive and of course you can live on way less but the weekend I have just had was a lot of fun. This is enough to not even have to question your choice of meal, how many boys, or where you will stay with in reason. This is also for two people on a short holiday. Don't let my price estimate deter you, for what we got it was a bargain. This level of drunken, carousing, buffoonery in Bangkok would cost substantially more. It was like our 20 year honeymoon. I think I would get bored in Jomtien if I stayed any longer than a couple of days. None of it is all that expensive in and of itself it is just a question of how ridiculous/flamboyant you want to be. 1. Room: 2,600 that's a single room suite next time I would do the 2 bedroom suite for 4,000. so that is 8,000 for the weekend. 2. Boys: 300 each off fee and i tip the ones who stay 2,000 and the ones that don't 500. So that's 4,600 on this occasion. 3 Food: around 2,000 Baht a day for two people. 4. drinks: how long is a string? With wine and 6 people around 8,000 Baht a day. With wine even if the bottle is only 1,000 Baht each round is two bottles with that number of people. 5. limo service: 1,800 Baht as i said it is a nice care and you can get cheaper. So round trip was around 3,600 to central Bangkok, the airport is cheaper. 6. misc.: 500-1,000 Baht a day. Thats the basic break down of how the weekend went by price just to show how I arrived at the numbers I gave earlier. I am looking forward to doing my birthday party down there in October. So that's my trip report and i hope it wasn't too graphic for the sensitive virgin ears of this forums readers. It is the best gay holiday I have had in over a decade. Next time I would waste less money and time shopping around the soi and get some beverages in the room to save a bit.

I am dithering about whether to choose to stay near jomtien beach or in the neighbourhood of boyz town during my visit in pattaya. Planning to visit for 2 days (then back to BKK), I want to go to both boyz town an the dongtan beach. My main activities will be in the vicinity of the boyz town from night until late, just go to the beach during daytime. I rather stay near the central pattaya because I want to hang out around the area until late and it's convenient for me not to take taxi back to the hotel. But on the other hand, I will have to take my stuffs to the beach. Is there anyone having experience staying in the center and moving to the beach also? Would it be better to reserve a room nearby the beach? It will be my first solo visit to pattaya, so any comments would be appreciated

My last day at the beach in Jomtien on my March/April holiday - watching the beach boys playing volley ball. Ten days to go (and counting) until I'm back in The L.O.S.
