I once was around the Grand Palace in the afternoon (4-5 pm), when I saw groups of young soldiers walking home (probably from ministry of defence which is close). But where to find available boys, in uniform - I don't know, but I'm interested!

Difference between Thai Spicy and Mexican Spicy
ChristianPFC replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
I distinguis between chili-spicy and ginger-spicy. I don't like (chili) spicy food, so don't order food that is marked as "spicy" in the menu. Once I was eating with friends and they ordered spicy (ginger) chicken coconut soup (if I remember correctly), which I liked very much, but would never have ordered as it is "spicy", but ginger and not chili! -
I don't set much value on the dancing in the bars. More important are what the boys look like. If he can dance that's better than just standing around, but not necessary. If you want to see dancing, go into a ballet!

Me too, I think the one on the left is by far the cutest. This is amazing, given the fact that there are continuous arguement of lady-lovers and manly-boy-lovers elsewhere on these forums. How comes we all agree on this one boy?

I like the idea of gold-backed currency. But I'm not an economist, so I don't know how this will influence world trade. I think the printing of money is the root of many evils (national debt and inflation).

I think there are a few gogo bars that don't allow smoking. So it is not inevitable. If I remember correctly, Krazy Dragon is one of them, and there are a few in Bkk as well (I have to check before my next holiday, as a non-smoker I prefer to spend time in bars with no smoke and therefore these will be high on my list). So it is possible to run a bar and not allowing to smoke inside! (Contrary to what bar-owners say: they will lose customers) I think not providing ashtrays is a good hint to smokers, however I witnessed in one bar a guest lighting a cigarette first and then asking for an ashtray (I was wondering if he was going to let the ash fall down to the floor).

I used a laundry in Soi Sri Bum Pen (not far from the Malaysia hotel) and the prices were reasonable (I paid about 200 THB for "a bag full of worn clothes" - I can't specify any further, as I didn't weigh or count it, I just collected the clothes in a bag and handed it over). I think it was charged per piece, yes, there was a paper with numbers and a sum when I came to pick it up. I wonder how they manage to remember without receipt which clothes belong to whom. In a few rare cases, similar looking pieces where confused with those from other customers, now I have a pair of sock und a piece of underwear that look similar to mine, but belonged to someone else. The underwear is a Thai brand, so I hope it belonged to a cute Thai boy and I wear it. Price comparison to Europe: Where I now live I have to pay 4 EUR (~180 THB) for using the washing machine per load.

I got ciprofloxacin when I had diarrhoea, and it worked really well. I checked on wikipedia: It's a Drug of last resort. In Germany, it is only awailable on prescpription, in Thailand I witnessed it was sold over the counter to a 16-year-old boy at 1 a.m., who took it as a precaution.

The URL is http://bangkokboy.de/ This is the only blog about Gay Thailand in German language I know about. It's closely related to http://www.gaythailand.de/ There are a lot of articles that have the same style (i.e. are written by the same author). There was a thread about gay blogs when this forum changed the owner.

Physically correct, it is kilowatt hour (abbreviated as kWh).

When opening an account, you have to take into account that all the data will be collected (and used against you). Nonetheless, I find facebook quite useful to stay in contact with friends. After registering, there was a gap where I barely used it, but after a few months I got quite hooked and now I'm back to normal (i.e. checking about twice a week). I got friends with acquaintances from Thailand (if only these invitations to farmville would stop!) and it's quite interesting to check out friend's friends on facebook: cute gay Thai boys have cute gay Thai boys as friends! Found some nice pictures. While I was studying in England, I went to a disco for international students, and there were some stunning from China. Via facebook, I found their profiles (they were tagged in photos from friend's friends), and had access to plenty of photos.

Yes, these automatic translations can be funny sometimes. On the other hand, there is one boy (whom I met in Pattaya, for well er "business reasons") and who now lives in Bangkok who writes things like: which have a hint of wisdom, and he is only 22!

It is quite different from the bars in the Silom area. Very few Farangs, loud music (I always use earplugs), and groups of Thai standing around their tables. Best to go with a friend or meet a friend there, else you will stay alone. Nonetheless, I go there at least once every time in in Thailand for holiday. The have the best coyote dancing I have seen in Bangkok. Unfortunately, it's interrupted frequently by messages in Thai, for which they stop the music as well. The area is easily accessible by bus or even by canal boat, the Saen Saeb canal is not far behind (about 100m from ICK), and The Mall Ramkhamhaeng and the pier are diagonally opposite. The surprising thing is, I even met a moneyboy there. I was there alone and chatted up some Thais (their English was ok) when they asked me if I wanted to go with X, who is a moneyboy. Exactly this boy was the cutest among the coyote dancers and I had oogled him a lot on stage. Unfortunately, he asked for 2500 Baht, I was not sure what to reply, during my silence he lowered to 2000 and to 1800. Then he got a phone call which was more important than I, so I left alone (I think 1000 for short time would have been fine). Unfortunately, I have neither his phone number nor gayromeo profile, but maybe his is still there when I come back.

When will we get the results for this and the smile contest?

My first off went the following way. I asked him if he can do long time and offed him. We walked about an hour on walking street and when we were in my hotel room, he sat on my bed and watched TV. I came out of the bathroom and just wanted to slip my hand under his shirt he got this call from mamasan saying that he has to get back home. (I shared this story half a year ago on this forum.) I gave him 500THB and let him go. The closest we ever got was when I put my hand on his knee in the bar.

"4. If we remove one of your posts, we will do our best to let you know ASAP." Set up an automatic notification. I had auctions removed on ebay, I always got an automatic email when this happened.

I once read that when your are travelling by taxi and the taxi has an accident, the best thing to do ist to pay and leave and let the driver deal alone with the accident. This is because by Thai law the customer is guilty. Even if he didn't drive, without customer the taxi wouldn't have had the accident! In your case it was your boyfriend who was driving, it wouldn't be nice to leave him alone with the accident, but it would have made the situation Thai-Thai and not Thai-Farang.

The timing of events for this site was very unfortunate. Expecting it to close down or become appendix to an escort service, I changed to Gaybuttons new board and stayed there (before, this was the board I read and posted most). There are currently five gay Thailand blogs, I check and post on one daily, the others once or twice a week. In my opinion, this 500USD-marathon was a very bad idea, as it created a lot of posts that have nothing to do with Thailand (or if they were about Thailand, there was no new information). I don't know how long it will take until this forum gets back on track (at least until the marathon is over), and even then I ask, maybe 3 or 4 message boards about gay Thailand are enough?

I either ask my Thai friend where he wants to go eating or we go to a place where I've been before or we eat at the next place that crosses our way.

Trip report 24.06.2010-07.07.2010 Bangkok Pattaya
ChristianPFC replied to ChristianPFC's topic in Gay Thailand
Two weeks ago, I started checking airfares from Europe to Bangkok. There is no more doubt: I will be back this winter! -
GayThailand, what is "AM"? From context, I assume you mean a.m. (ante meridiem, checking in a dictionary I find it can be abbreviated as a.m., am, A.M., AND AM, didn't know that) and you use AM instead of "morning"?

There are two maps (one would be sufficient) for Dave and NAB on gayaffairspattaya. I went to each once, both times with a friend, so I had not to worry how to find it. Now I know how to get there. The soi with Dave Men Club had road constructions (including excavations without barrier) when I was there beginning of July, "lawsuit in wait" I think they would call it in the USA.

Difference between Thailand guys and Brazil Guys
ChristianPFC replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
Thanks for the link to the Brasilian guys, but there is nothing I like. Brown skin is fine, same as in Thailand. I like Thai (or far-east-asian in general) faces more than faces from everywhere else. And the difference in hair: Thai hair is naturally beautiful, and Thai boy's hairdos are just amazing. European, African, Latin American hair does nothing for me. Facial hair and body hair: Thai boys have little or none, whereas it seem so be difficult to a Brasilian guy with little body hair (actually, it doen't look that bad jugding by the photos on the link). A plus for the Brasilian guys is that those on the link have fewer less tattoos than you see in a Thai gogo bar. Speaking of Brasilian guys: The first men whose body I felt attracted to and whom I saw naked was a half Brasilian half German guy I met when (and showered naked with him) I was in the army in Germany. Alas, long before my coming out, therefore only watching (i.e. a short glimpse, not to attract any attention), no touching (we were not alone in the shower, anyway).
