Visiters to hotels. 18 and 19 year olds banned by som hotels
ChristianPFC replied to Travellerdave's topic in Gay Thailand
A friend who stays at Malaysia confirms: recently new rule minimum age for visitor 20 years and they enforce it. BTW most discos and saunas have minimum age 20 years for customers. Don't know if this is by law or arbitrary decision of management. -
From flyer "Public transportation at Suvarnabhumi Airport" 2013: Bus 389 stops at gate 8 on 1st floor passenger terminal, 5:30 am or 7 am to 9:00 pm. Departs hourly. Fare 134 Baht, ends at parking at Food Mart Jomtien (walking distance to Jomtien Complex). Two years ago, I found the Friday afternoon bus booked out some times (i.e. I had to wait over an hour).

Advice for first time visitors http://christianpfc.blogspot.com/2014/08/advice-for-first-time-visitors.html

I was happy with Chang Puak hotel (in walking distance to gay bars and Chang Puak bus station - I do a lot of travel by public transport so this is important to me) for 700 Baht (?) per night last year. This year I stayed in Green Palace (500 Bath (?), near Mall Had Suan Kaew and House of Male Sauna) for exploring area west of the moat.

Sorry, can't help you with becoming a paid member on gboysiam. I don't think any of the boys who post there is a paid member. Just had a look at registration, it's mainly in Thai, I can understand, but I see no need for me to register at the moment.

Or, if you don't like the various forms of online dating, try gay bars in Silom Soi 4 or the various saunas all over Bangkok. If you don't mind paying for company, try gogo bars or massage parlors.

Herbivores are raised and killed to eat them, the lion was killed for fun (I think those people even call it "sport"). This, I think, is wrong (but then I go to 3rd world countries to engage in cheap prostitution with locals, so how can I judge?). The outrage is overblown, for some opposing opinions google "truth cecil the lion", e.g. here: http://www.salon.com/2015/08/03/the_easy_morality_of_cecil_the_lion_our_problem_isnt_too_much_outrage_%E2%80%94%C2%A0its_that_we_cant_summon_enough/ http://conservativetribune.com/zimbabwe-truth-cecil-the-lion/: (That's an easy one. Lions are an endangered species, whereas there are so many Africans that they try to get to Europe. A lion who eats Africans should get an order instead of being killed, but I can't say that in public because it's not politically correct.)

Gay discos along Ratchada road and R3 sauna, or go to Saphan Kwai area (39 underground sauna and Pradipat gay venues).

How many times a year you travel to Thailand?
ChristianPFC replied to abidismaili's topic in Gay Thailand
When I said "live here permanently" I meant that I spend most time of the year in Thailand, and book BKK-BER-BKK tickets (when working in Europe, it was Europe-BKK-Europe). My situation is not permanent, sooner or later I will return to Europe. I spoke to friends from university, they were unemployed about a year and wrote 100 job applications to get 10 job interviews and finally get one job. I compare this to Beach Road hookers: chat up 100 passers-by, 10 show interest, but 9 want disgusting activities or offer little money, and finally one is ok. It's not for me, I rather spend my time in Thailand. However I came to the conclusion that the job situation will not get better soon, I have to put all my energy into looking for a job instead of traveling in Thailand. -
Is it allowed to mention Thai guys by name here?
ChristianPFC replied to abidismaili's topic in Gay Thailand
The boys use nicknames ชื่à¸à¹€à¸¥à¹ˆà¸™ chêu lên (actually every Thai I know uses a nickname, except for doctors and professors at my former workplace) which are not in their ID card. Real names are longer and can be difficult to write, have a look at taxi driver's name card (behind the LED sign) when you sit in the front seat. -
How many times a year you travel to Thailand?
ChristianPFC replied to abidismaili's topic in Gay Thailand
I used to work (one year contract in 2013), but not as a teacher. I cannot teach, I don't want to teach, and I don't have the qualifications to teach (I mean I'm not a native speaker, grammar-wise I can teach many a native speaker, but I have no documents to prove this). I found living and working does not suit me well, too many distractions. I would rather work in Europe, focus on my work, and come to Thailand several times per year for holiday. But I know people who work here (and get Western salary) and who love it. I would not recommend working for Thai salary and work contract (zero holiday in first year or work!). Currently I'm here on tourist visa and live on my savings. -

I used to go twice per year 3 weeks each (from Europe), now I live here. -
Disgusting! I guess people who kill animals for fun would kill humans for fun.

e.g. here: My estimations are based on google maps with satellite image, and to make sure there is no mistake in google maps, I just checked the length of running track in nearby stadium: 410 m (should be 400 m).

There are adverts for group sex parties on http://www.gboysiam.in/picpost/ (no personal experience, but one day I might go to check it out), which brought me the idea that this would be the place to post about a bukkake party and offer 500 Baht per participant to cover travel expenses. That event should take place in a short time hotel room (ask how many guests you can have, extra towels?) in Ramkhamhaeng / Ladprao area, as there are many boys in this are. On a weekend afternoon or on a weekday night. I would set up a Line account for this purpose, where people can apply with their stats and picture.

The length of the wooden bridge is incorrectly given at 850 m somewhere on the internet, the actual length is 450 m. I went in February http://christianpfc.blogspot.com/2015/02/mon-bridge-in-sangkhlaburi.html

Gay Companions and Tour Guides in Thailand
ChristianPFC replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
Not any more (climbing to the top of Sathorn Unique). After the apparent suicide of a tourist earlier this year, it's all closed and locked (and I mean ChristianPFC-proof closed and locked, I had a look recently). "Apparent" because it took me two years and four attempts to get in. And who would make the effort to climb to 47th (?) floor to hang himself? -
(my emphasis) But where they buying? I spend some time in shopping malls, but I'm only looking. I buy everything I need at local markets.

Gay Companions and Tour Guides in Thailand
ChristianPFC replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
While I don't need a guide for Thailand at all and find my way around in neighboring countries alone (back at the tourist stage: don't speak the language and don't know my way around), this is a great service for people who like security or company or for who convenience is more important than saving money (e.g. the Bangkok gay sauna tour http://bkktour.info/index.php/bangkok-gay-sauna/ for 700 Baht - for the tour, not including entry to saunas - can be easily done by oneself, but you would have to read the internet for hours and make a plan and figure out how to get there and need to know when which sauna is busy). -
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver - Thailand HITLER
ChristianPFC replied to a topic in Gay Thailand
The parody is based on footage from a movie "The Downfall" (original title in German "Der Untergang"), which I consider a great movie. On the subject of Hitler parodies ("Ich hock' in meinem Bonker" in English): -
There are gay bars in Hua Hin (no personal experience) and Hat Yai (only host bar here). Udon Thani and Khon Kaen have some gay massage (don't know how much English they speak). Chiang Mai and Phuket would be my recommendation (assuming for second visit to Thailand you want to go some place used to tourists).

Those taxi fares must be without meter or meter and long time in traffic jam. There is a train as well, at least one per hour (all lines from north and north-east pass and stop). There are some BTS ticket automates that accept bills (all MRT accept bills). Interesting idea how to circumvent having no coins.
-
I should have been more specific. I meant "taking taxis from spots where they stand and block one lane of the road, forcing customers like me and honest drivers onto second lane". How much each of us tips is their own business. cedric: Bangkok taxis are a drain and very unpleasnt in the main, there are exceptions but they don't prove the rule. I've just come back and I've been going for many years. Its just a sad fact and they are getting worse, there is every reason in the world to talk of the Taxi Mafia at this stage. I disagree with every word. Anyway, it seems the op has other motives than wanting to know alternatives to get from airport to hotel.

That's an interesting confession. I would like to watch (and touch) a straight boy fuck a girl, only double costs (pay two prostitutes) and not knowing how to arrange it has prevented me so far. Anyone with personal experiences here? But that would be a great opening line by your boy. Well I do. There are Thai style discos in Bangkok, on busy nights there are over 500 Thai and less than 5 Farang. Saunas with over 100 Thai and 2 Farang.
