I disapprove of reserving a boy and leaving him on stage (the bar's fault; if the boy gets dressed and waits inside or outside so I clearly see he is not available, that's fine for me). On the subject of MBK, some weeks ago I went there to have my mobile phone fixed. There was a contact problem with the micro USB plug, and after trying several cables that all worked on other devices, I assumed the problem is in the phone. So I went there and was quoted a price of 800 Baht, which I accepted. Seems high, and I should have asked at other places to get a better price. Surprisingly, these mobile phone repair shops are mostly staffed by Indians (?) who speak good English.

Do you have details how much exactly the Chinese are ripped off? All bars should have a menu, and when going to some place where I don't remember the drink prices from my last visit, I ask to see the menu. No clear pricing, or someone typing a price in a pocket calculator, is a sure sign you are being scammed or overcharged.
