Gad; I feel that I am now a Nazi because I haven't contrituted to some charity for the unfortunate people in Africa. Talk about a guilt trip.
-
I know several farang who have studied Thai and are able to speak it but don't. I have been with my bf when they don't even acknowledge him with a few words of Thai. So, yes, why does't the farang speak Thai?

Sorry Koko, but there was no confusion when I made the statement. The end result is surely at least similar to enforced sterilisation. A proposition has been put forward. Don't give to charity aiding the huge number of people starving in Africa. Lives will then not be saved. New babies, who would eventually also need charity, will then not be born. Same result - only different reasons and different methods. The same reasoning, regarding new babies not to be born, could be made against use of contraceptive and abortion. By the use of such methods we are depriving the world of future Einsteins, etc ,etc. I don't see a direct relationship between the genocide of the Nazis and not supporting charities which may do more harm than good in the long run. There is a difference.

This is just like Fountainhall said it was. The Nazis killed millions that weren't immediately effective to accomplish their zealous plan. Let us not confuse the crimes of the Nazis with the merits and consequenes of charity.

Actually I have had the same thoughts as Timmberty regarding the fruitlessness of certain types of aid to some countries when the net result is more people being born into a life of misery and making the situation worse. If the aid resulted in population control, better health standards and economic improvement it would make sense. However many impoverished countries will never have better living conditions until their greedy leaders are deposed.

tho if you want me to explain what a bad joke is, do ask. Timmberty, no need to explain a bad joke it is quite evident to me.

Again you are being judgemental. Until you take the time and effort to learn Thai then don't tell others what they should do. Also, unless you have a Thai bf don't presume to know about my relationship with my bf and the joy we share regardless of my lack of Thai or his proficiency in English. A fat cat refers, not to a fat person, but to someone who is wealthy or influential. Example Donald Trump.

Some moms are quite happy that their boy is not captured by some domineering bitch of a daughter in law and an equally bitch of a mother in law. So having one gay boy in the family is just the ticket. Also the gay boy will be the one taking care of his elderly parents. And some moms are fag hags!

. On a longer flight I'd suggest asking your doctor about something to help you sleep. I'm not happy sitting anywhere for 12 hours, myself... I sleep. I would agree that when flying economy class the best option is to sleep through the experience. One time I did take a sleeping pill and woke up with a doctor standing next to my trying to revive me. So much for sleeping pills. But in Business Class, who wants to sleep? Bring on the champagne, snacks, wine, meals, wine, dessert, wine, etc. Then a nice movie and then some sleep.

I don't believe that not being able to speak Thai makes one pig ignorant! I have studied four languages, Latin, German, Spanish and French and know the difficulties , frustrations and effort involved. For the most part have not come close to being able to converse other than at a very basic level. The thought of trying to learn Thai does overwhelm me to the point of not wanting to even try. Unless you or anyone else has made the effort then please don't be judgemental. As far as the 6000TB/week for food, does that make me a glutton and a fat cat? I most often go to dinner with my bf which might cost 350 TB/person plus a glass of wine each = 1000 TB; big deal.

Did I give the impression I have an endless pot of money? Fact is I don't have a pot to piss in! However over many years I have been able to accumulate frequent flyer miles either by flying; buying bonus miles per flight; and buying miles on sale @60% bonus; selecting a credit card that gives miles; etc, in order to accrue enough for a Business Class flight. If on a Business Class flight you are also entitled to use of their Lounge and of course preferential treatment at security and boarding. Also can bring up to 90kg of luggage which is a nice perk for those staying a long time and wish to stockpile supplies. Regrettably that is all coming to an end. But flying Business Class is an enjoyable experience compared to Economy. I sometimes fly in Premium Economy which is just sligthly better than Economy and not enjoyable but tolerable on the shorter flight from BKK to Tokyo. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it.

Sitting in cattle class is never enjoyable unless you are a cow.

I would agree that flying cattle class is an unpleasant experience however Business Class and First Class are most enjoyable.

Food about 6,000 per month Wow! I spend that much in one week.

My only experience with learning and speaking other languages is that the native speaker invariably says "please speak English".

Gawd! Those pussy photos remind me of that thread with the endless posting of ladyboy photos; best to get back on the topic of thinking before donating.

Back to Corner Bar in Pattaya since there seems to be some interest in posting on gay thailand topics. As I was watching from across the soi, CB was barren of customers as a withered teat of milk although a few customers did eventually arrive. Their wine price is 130 Baht for the same glass of plonk that others are charging Eighty Baht although it is a nice looking balloon shaped glass. Hope when they do their makeover they will do a makeover of their wine selection. Also sat next door at Sky Bar where their wine was 80Baht/glass of plonk and 140 Baht/glass of Chilean wine which was better but not worth the extra cost. The owner of Sky did come over, welcomed us, and offered us an appetizer to munch on. No, it was not the waiter! A very nice bar. And finally enjoyed a couple of drams of Remy Martin at Ducs @ 100 Baht/snifter which is a decent price.

I have not been posting much about the gay life on this forum since so much of it is covered in some other forums but will try to do better.

Hah! There is a conspiracy by the cell phone manufacturers to suppress all cases of incineration. You really don't believe that cover story about spontaneous human combustion?

2 Billion birds and 12 Billion mammals say "piss off pussy cat" in the USA. There is a proposal in NZ to deport all cats to the Happy Hunting Ground and return NZ to its native habitat. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/30/science/that-cuddly-kitty-of-yours-is-a-killer.html?_r=0

When you consider the weight of just one of those lie flat seats in Business/First Class you wonder why Boening was trying to save weight on such a critical item as these batteries. Well, as long as they don't put the wine in plastic bottles/boxes that would be carrying weight saving much too far.
