  1. Thanks for input on this post. I believe I will buy a Chromebook within next couple of months and then report on my experience.
  2. I like that Michael! Next time someone asks why I go to Thailand I will just reply, Wat, Wat, Wat.

    Thais Smell

LoveThailand, well you never met Stinky! He was a go-go boy at a now defunct bar in Sunee Plaza. Cute enough but I would give him tips to get him to stay away from me. It wasn't just an occasional event but all the time. I doubt that he got many offs but each to his own taste or rather odor.
  4. Aha! Now I understand why you have so many bags when returning to the US. Do you store anything in Thailand?
  5. As Pong said, I do wonder about safety issues but not sure any internet access is safe and secure. I never use my laptop other than with WiFi, meaning I don't work off-line so that is not a problem. I did check out an Acer 11.5 " for $180 USD and it seemed much like any other laptop. But it did seem slow in displaying exchange rates (x-rates.com) but no slower than my laptop. Very light weight; ideal for travel.
  6. The Chromebooks I looked at are $200 USD or less so almost a throwaway! All storage is in a cloud so little to lose. Also I understand no problems with virus or updates or anything else. But would like to hear from someone who has tried them. In meanwhile will consider all options.
  7. I do tell anyone that I have gone to Thailand and most people are interested and intrigued but I don't tell them the reasons I go unless they are gay. Even then I found best to not use the word "boys" in describing the sex scene as many people think "under age".
  8. Just be careful Christian, you may wake up circumcised.
  9. Does anyone have any experience or input on Chromebooks? From what I see the Good is they are very inexpensive and easy to use. My current laptop is getting old and slow and unreliable so something new is required. I am not a techie, and all I use my laptop for is web surfing, email, internet banking and little else and don't even have a printer. And no gaming or anything that requires a sophisticated computer.
  10. Are you saying you have Global Entry? Normally after using the Global Entry Kiosk at Immigration , you are given a "slip" at the kiosk to present to Customs who then waive your through.. What do you bring back from Thailand that invokes such suspicion. A buoy in a bag?
  11. If you wish to avoid this hassle apply for Global Entry. Kind of a messy application process but, if I could mange it, then a snap for you. Of course there is a chance you could be rejected! Also if you get Global Entry you will also qualify for Trusted Traveler if you don't already have that. This puts you in the fast and easy lane for Security Check with TSA.
  12. Not quite sure what you may mean by fun but the Underwater Park is worth seeing. 500 TB for farang and 250 TB for Thai. http://www.underwaterworldpattaya.com/
  13. Hmmmm! maybe a pleasant walk in the Winter months but walking anywhere during the day in the hotter months is like a stroll through Hell.
  14. Wat Chai has parking available. Easy walking distance to Sunee or Boyztown. There is also a parking garage in vicinity of Tukcom but I don't know the hours of operation.
  15. I only drove one time in a National Park where there was no traffic but, even then, the bf just about shirt his pants since he did not like my driving skills. So, after he cleaned himself up, I relinquished the steering wheel to him and sulked the rest of the way.
  16. Michael, can you expand upon this? Did you arrive on a one way ticket? And assume the return was one way? And from what city in USA? Did you book with Delta? And any problems coming to Thailand on a one way ticket? Your return ticket was a good deal. I know that Delta is funny with one way tickets for award travel although that will change.
  17. A gay friend in the USA made his practice serving truckers at rest areas. They may not admit to gayness but sure like their cocks sucked.
  18. I also miss shyatfirst; I hope he recovered from his sad love affair. And then there was Mikke.
  19. Amen to that brother!
  20. My opinion is that posting of photos of boys is unethical although I suppose I really should not look at them, but I do.
  21. Wrong Christian; The bars are not there to provide boys, free of charge to the customer. Yes, do tip the boys fairly but also spend a little extra money on at least one drink for the boy and support the bar. They can order water if they want rather than sugar or alcohol.
  22. When on the topic of carrying money on your person, it is advisable to have a credit card with you in event of medical emergency. Hospitals are reluctant to provide services free of charge.

    Duc

In retrospect, a rousing rendition of Waltzing Matilda would have been a fitting finale. Here's to you Duc!

    Duc

The memorial service was well attended by both farang and Thai. Sadly, no words of tribute were spoken or eulogy given. It was touching that a number of Thai lads acted as a guard of honor as Duc's body was consigned to eternity.
  25. No, but I did offer a helping-hand for the drug testing.
