  1. Try other ED meds like Cialis or Levitra. And there is Cavaject which you inject, with a needle, directly into the penis. Cialis and Levitra and Viagra are available in Thailand.
  2. Once upon a time I offed a butch boy from a go go bar and he came out wearing a dress! I about died on the spot. No, I did not want to be seen with him, at all. But some guys do go for the lady boy look but not me. I faked a headache and gave her a good tip and a sendoff. Otherwise I do have a thai bf and I don't like to advertise my dalliances to other Thais and farang to avoid the word getting back to him. Yes, he knows but really doesn't want to "KNOW". Not a question of flaunting or hiding, just a matter of discretion.
  3. I do not like to walk anywhere with a boy who I offed especially in Sunee Plaza. Always give them money for a motorbike taxi. Everybody is looking at you and taking note which is exactly what I do when sitting and watching the scene.
  4. I understand also that implants are used to anchor a full set of dentures which sounds like a good idea. I would ask "payless" his reasons for 8 implants but I am afraid to ask. If it were my front teeth I think I would do same same.
  5. Easy! Go to the shop you bought the cell phone or any cell phone shop. Explain situation. They can program phone so number does not expire for at least one year. There may be minor extra charges per call but well worth it. I did this and the clerk did not charge for her time but I gave an "up to you" tip of a couple hundred baht.
  6. The first time I saw Martha Stewart on TV I thought it was a Saturday Night parody as she sounded so fake.
  7. I really don't disagree with you Bob about Oprah, it is just she is on a time I do not watch TV and when I do, she is not on the top of my list. But can't fault her for being a success same same Martha Stewart.
  8. I never found anything about her show the least bit interesting. Now, if they could only get rid of Larry King and Barbara Walters that would be a big plus, not to mention Beck & Reilly & Hannity. Oh, I also forgot Dr. Phil the most insufferable bore on broadcast TV .
  9. In that case, my Thai friend is 28 yo and wants hot sex with young farang. Guess that says something about me.
  10. Send me your email Christian, I will respond. I'm only x9 years old.
  11. This is the best advice ever. Giving your email address and home phone number, willy-nilly, to Thai boys is a big mistake. The sob stories never end.
  12. If they know they can get money from you they keep up with emails. Sometimes after sending an email I also send a text message (very inexpensive) saying "you got mail". It works.
  13. I spoke with my doctor about the vaccine for HPV. Now recommended for males and females from age 9 to 26. Older people may receive the vaccine but may be responsible for the costs. Yes I did receive the vaccine. Three shots are required; 1st, 2nd at two months and 3rd at six months.

    ATM Charges

What jtrack33 did not mention was the deposit machine resembles a paper shredder when it opens its jaws for your bank notes. It can be intimidating the first time you use it.

    ATM Charges

My experience was no need for address, although a temporary address, such as a hotel, may be necessary. Passport required and, I believe, cell phone number was requested, but maybe not necessary. ATM card was issued immediately. The account was a savings account. The ATM card did work outside of Thailand in my home country. I do not receive any statements by post and I do not have internet access to my account. This is with Bangkok Bank. Other banks may differ. K Bank is a good choice.
  17. I say with tongue in cheek; I take a short motorbike taxi for 20 Baht for less than 5 minutes. This equals 20TB/5 min = 240 TB/hour = 1920 TB/8 hr-day = 57,600 TB/month. Not bad for a motorbike taxi driver.
  18. In all respect to kotter, for me a Cheap Charlie is still a Cheap Charlie. I am one who does scrimp and save and look for bargains so that when in Thailand I can afford to be considerate in my "tipping". But there are others, who have money, but hate to part with it. Everything must be a bargain and all must be negotiated in order for them to enjoy themselves. I have seen affluent people return to the their table at a restaurant to "retrieve" a forgotten item and then pick up a generous tip left by his dining companions. Perhaps, rather then refer to an "average" tip of 1000/1500 Baht, it might be better to use the term "norm" as in a normal distribution (the familiar bell curve). One significant deviation from the "norm" would give a range of 660-1340 Baht/short time and 990-2010 Baht/long time. (Yes, I was a physicist). Tipping less then a standard deviation would indicate you are a Scrooge while tipping above makes you a Diamond Jim. And, of course, nothing posted here will likely change the tipping habits of resident expats or frequent flyers, but maybe for the newbies to Thailand these posts will be of some value or amusement.
  19. Although new to this forum I am not new to Thailand and am familiar with jumpers aka flying farang. Like others I have a mental image of a pathetic wretch, penniless, alcoholic, despondent with no hope of a future. Perhaps we prefer this image in order to divorce ourselves from the reality of the situation? After all it could be one of us someday! Likely, if it were a young Thai guy who was the jumper we might think it more a tragedy and wonder what circumstances brought him to end his life. As for the method of dying, jumping is easy, quick and effective although messy. There is a chance of the falling body hitting someone but that is minuscule compared to the daily risk of being struck by suicidal motorbike drivers. Firearms are not readily available; household poison are nasty and prolonged; potent sedatives are difficult to attain; leaving hanging or asphyxiation. If anything, Allan should be commended for his compassion and perhaps making us consider further that these unfortunates are human beings.
