  1. Come on! Three guys flying from Switzerland and posters suggest they take a bus? Get a cheap taxi on the rebound and negotiate a cheap deal? Kurt; try gemsphon@loxinfo.co.th 001 -66-8 9833 2498 I think some other posters can give you other names of a reliable taxi service. Try searching the other forums. Did you try the hotel where you are staying in Jomtien?

    Am I nuts?

To be honest, I believe your friends are right about amount of the tip. On the other hand, when I am back home I do get requests from some regulars for money. The amount I send them is about what you are paying for long time and I get nothing in return.
  3. The title of this thread "where have the posters gone" suggests that same members believe that posters are no longer active since the new management took over. If new management takes over a business and loses customers then is that a sign of failure or success? Nonetheless the owner of this forum seems to believe it is going in the right direction so that is what counts, I suppose.
  4. It is obvious where the posters went, they went with GayButton to his new Gay Button Forum. The new owners here have failed in their job, and with GayThailand withdrawing the situation is more desperate for them.
  5. My question is to aot87, are you satisfied with the responses to your post or are you thoroughly confused?
  6. Thank you Pong. I am sure your explanation will clear up any misunderstandings for the aot87.
  7. Assuming you are coming to Thailand for a total of 16 days then you should be ok when returning from Cambodia since you would receive a 15 day visa on arrival at Thai/Cambodia border crossing.
  8. Wouldn't it depend on the type of visa you already have? If you have a multiple entry visa then you would not require a new one.
  9. As mentioned before, scrutiny by US Customs upon arrival? Also could be a problem if connecting to domestic flights and going through security? Questions, not answers.
  10. Seems to me that plastic wrapped luggage would be even more of a trigger for US Customs agents to do a secondary inspection especially for the single male traveler from Thailand.
  11. The only time I had a long wait was in Seattle. It seems a plane load of Indians had recently arrived and Immigration was carefully screening them at length. These Indians were the type with beards, turbans, and in traditional attire. Normally foreigners go to a different line then US passport holders, but, in this case, they allowed them in the US line. A real nightmare.
  12. For me, I would rather read of posters personal experiences with cheap but good places to eat rather than a cut and paste job.
  13. Well, maybe they could serve a combo; Balut and a Beer? Yup, that is chicken embryo in that egg.
  14. When I have been in Sunee in the afternoon the street scene is dead, so don't know if there would be enough business to justify opening. In addition, the owners don't finish their work until the early morning hours and need a well deserved break before their evening opening.
  15. I have seen the same type of behavior and it is disgusting to me. Obviously some of these cheap charlies are mentally ill while others seem to think the price of a drink covers whatever they can get away with.
  16. Perhaps keep the money in your Thai bank account and withdraw via ATM when you return home? You may win or lose depending on exchange rates if the Baht goes up or down.
  17. I do like this rule however I can foresee how some posters will twist it to their advantage.
  18. The death of this man is a sad occasion however best not to jump to conclusions concerning the circumstances leading to his death and pointing fingers or faulting the health care system in Thailand.
  19. These posts remind me of a cartoon strip "PEANUTS" wherein Lucy gazes into the cloud filled sky and sees "the Ecstasy of Saint Catherine and the Martyrdom of Saint Laurence" while good old Charlie Browns only sees "cats and dogs". Point is, I thought a forum was something simple where posters could express themselves and read the expressions of others. Why are some making this so complicated? Call me Charlie Brown.
  20. That is exactly what he sounds like, DELETE, DELETE,DELETE. Just what this forum should avoid.
  21. BeginnersMind is off to a good start with the bickering and arguing.
  22. No not attracted to guys my age, but if you look anything like you avatar I would do you.
  23. I was wrong, the offending posts have not been removed, for better or for worse.
  24. The offending posts have been deleted courtesy of the management.
  25. Nothing that I am aware other than they were made in USA. I am only confirming that the special price (on sale 2 for price of one) was comparable to price in Thailand. I hope to make a purchase of one the next time I visit Pattaya based on the reviews posted on GT.
