  1. Thanks fells, you're right too, the next few weeks are going to long and trying but at the end it will all be worth it and when I hit Thailand I can enjoy that new found freedom.
  2. Please excuse any bad language in advance. Well since my departure from my former employer I did take up a two month contract to continue to help out the guys on the big project we were working on but my former employer (dickhead former manager that is) is really trying to make my remaining time on the contract as miserable as possible (calling him a dickhead is an insult to dickheads). I am committed to finishing the contract as all the crap is making my January trip look so much better, reckon if I'm going to get fucked about it is much more preferrable if it's a hot Thai hunk that screws the daylights out of me than have my former employer retards screw with my mind. January is going to be sooooo good and the more crap thrown my way now is going to make it even better - cum on January and some hot Thai sausage to play with.
  3. One of the reasons that I really like this forum is that it rarely requires moderation if any at all, I find the posters here to be civilised even when they disagree with others. Healthy debate is good but I have seen many other forums where some members just continue to try and ram their opinions down others throats even when they are wrong, hell I even had to modeerate a forum like that and it wasn't much fun. This forum on the other hand rocks.
  4. Well if the owners of the board are looking for another moderator I would put my hand up (I have quite a bit of experience at moderating forums), the best part of this board it rarely requires moderation.
  5. Average tip I paid the massage boys was 1500 (at Bonny and Hero), I had some good massages and got nicely shagged for that price and reckon it was a good deal all round (most enjoyable too). Come January and I'll be back into it
  6. Chao Phraya Princess is well worth the dinner cruise
  7. All of the above plus Siam Niramit show, good entertainment for the whole family and the banquet is very good.
  8. When travelling around Thailand my intention is to base myself and occasionally just head off for a few days to a week and then it's back to the base. Really just want to take in the countryside and the out of the way places before I totally veg out in the one place.
  9. Just booked my accommodation for January, arrrr it's getting closer and I'm itching to get there.
  10. Thanks for posting the pics Bob - looks a nice place.
  11. Come January I'm in Thailand for a month, mostly to let my hair down and just hang loose for a bit (oh and have fun with the the boys of course) but during that time I will be looking to set up a bank account and check a few more things out. I have made the decision, that mid 2015 I will move to Thailand for 12 months or so (at this point in time the end of May sounds good), this may be a precursor to retirement over there but I figured to go on the 12 month multiple entry visa to see if I can handle the extended time there (providing I can get that visa first). I have some things to sort out here in Australia before the planned big trip, hence the long wait for me as I am also on a contract on a project that is tying me up until January. One thing I am planning for that time is to travel around the country, I would love to see the more out of the way places as opposed to the main stream cities and towns and do a write up of those travels and post some pictures along with it. I've gained some good advice from the members of this forum since I joined (many thanks to Vinapu and all the others for their advice) that I have decided to share those travels here for anyone that may enjoy the read. Of course I would be mentioning just what the boys and I get up to, can't just write about traveling around a country without including some spice, so I'm aiming to spice it up a little to get the blood flowing. For a start I would be looking at Chiang Mai which I think would make a good base for travelling around the north, plus some of the serviced apartments up there look to be quite good value. Now I know things change over time but my heart and head are quite firmly set on spending that time in a country that I love and want to see and experience so much more of.
  12. Love the pics firecat.
  13. Flying has gotten easier for me as the years went on but then I did my back in and it can be a bit of a strain (another reason for business class), jetlag no problem here as the flights are relatively short.

    Singapore

If you are flying Singapore airlines they have a stopover package which has hotels for a lot cheaper than the normal price but you must be on SIA both in and out of Singapore to be eligible.
  15. For me at the moment business class is the preferred choice because of the fares, I live in a country town that has direct flights to Indonesia and that flight costs much the same as a fare down to a major city (Perth) so I go via Indonesia. From Indon onward the business class fare is much the same as an economy fare from Perth so I choose the extra bit of comfort. This next trip may well be my last in business class though as I will be retiring and living down south, from Perth business class is 3 times the cost of an economy ticket (over $3000 for bc) and from there it's not really worth it. there is a stopover in Indon on the way back but it's only about a 4 hour transit in Indon on the way over. All flights from here to Bangkok via Indonesia Thai business class - approximately $1800 All flights from here to Bangkok via Perth Thai cattle class - approximately $1900 (based on the last time I flew that route)
  16. Ah cattle class, so many memories and not to many of them fond ones.
  17. That explains it then about the seating (old 747), I am usually on their Airbus planes, for a 10hr flight the seating would become critical for me too. Hope it improves from here on.
  18. Yes please, post away. Interesting about Thai business class, I fly with them all the time (via Indonesia) and have found their BC to be very good with good food and wine and the cabin crews service to be very good. Mind you the only other airline I have flown either business class or first class was Singapore airlines and their service I just cannot fault, my view may be biased a little.
  19. These ones will be filed regularly for sure.
  20. Well, I have booked my flights for January and am really looking forward to this trip, going to book my accommodation and travel insurance this week for a 4 week stay. Plan is the usual, just a quiet night in first night but next day the fun starts and first up is Hero. My little Excel countdown clock is not set for arrival time but for approximate penetration time and I'm imagining that I will be the one on the receiving end of that penetration.
  21. Ditto here, have enjoyed reading this report.
  22. Well I have read and know of several of these set ups happening in the Philippines (Angeles City) where freelance girls have worked in conjunction with corrupt cops so it wouldn't surprise me to see it encroaching in Pattaya, only thing is in the Philippines they threaten to say they were raped (or even worse under aged, even if they are really of legal age) unless the "customer" pays up a large sum of money. It's a set up so what foreigner wants the hassle of fighting it (with little chance of winning) so they pay up as much as they can, even then some get screwed again because they didn't pay enough and the crooks partners weren't happy with the settlement.
  23. Damn time seems to drag when you aren't there, not that I'm counting down the days until my first shag when I go back.
  24. Thanks for sharing your trip with us, looks like you had a good time and will be better prepared on your next trip knowing how things work.
  25. Love the post, the massage places can be a bit daunting at first but you do get used to the procedure after a couple of visits.
