Toss a coin-maybe yes, maybe no. Never ever experienced much of national ambitions for these types of work. Ditto for the Burmese etc. I cannot really agree that Khmer are more handsome as Thai-rather I find the nr of real cuties much less, with the Burmese somewhere in between. In general though they tend to be more friendly and many speak much better english. In one of my favorite BKK m2m massageshops is since early this year really very attractive Khmer guy-grinning boyish face and a homegrown natural wonder for service. However, many other customers have by now also discovered this and he is nearly always booked. Could easily start his own private business in a well appointed aprtmt somewhere with paying visitors. His story how he came to work there was quite remarkable: he was spotted and invited/told about it whilst doing his first job out of country-as a ''security''agent in a deprtmt store-for the usual min. wage (which here in TH is about 2 times that of Khmer-IF you can find a job thereat all)-less the usual commission taken by the placement agency. After 6 monthes they can quit and find something else. Still has to do borderruns every 30 days-or 2 monthes for new passpt.stamps. My visit to test it in their homeareas was a bit disappointing-quality of service there (Pnom penh mostly) was below that here in BKK, though prices were too. Nr of places also rather low. Probably same comment as for the Burmese: for the real talented guys go to TH.

NOW they have promotion- come with 3, pay only 2. No expiry date stated-in latest magazine ThaiPeuan. Maybe they cancel when khunVinapu comes along with 2, or maybe even 5 companions he has gathered and are noted at the Baksoi or where the old Banana used to be..................

IF places have a suggested (minimum) TIP its most often now 5/600 for ''soft'' and 1000 for ''hard''-for 60/90 mins. This for normal standard shops away from the tourist zone. Some suggest more for longer sessions. There is never no description of what consists of soft/hard.

BUSes from the BMTA get the new orange card-readers installed-piecemeal though. By now only used by those holding the govt-issued ''poor people'' ID cards, If they work at all. Conductors have I-fone style card readers too to help these people. Its remarkable though how few people actually have such cards. Much more common are the elder-ID's, that allow half fare.

Passed by at that Sapankwai place a few days ago-had to wait for bus-and saw entry reduced to 40 bt-in stead of normal 60. Might be an early bird offer though.

Back to the issue: again confirms my ideas about both Patpong/touristy area and the VNese in particular. BUT: every rule seems to have an exception- rather nilly-willy found myself with a VNese small guy at a m2m massageshop last week-more due to the regulars all being absent or engaged. They have an exquisite horny Khmer guy there with a boyish shy sexy grim. This maybe explains a little about the seemingly ever growing nr of VNese here in BKK; it was not a real VN, but also a kind of hilltribe guy, as we all know who also frequent the scene in some places here in TH. He spoke also pretty good Thai, but with a rather funny accent, communication thus was possible. Some of these hilltribes have their own language quite similar to Thai (the Karyen/Shan are known for that). Many hilltribes consider passports/nations etc just a nuisance without much relevance. Good grief he lacked the schemes that the VNese all seem to display so much and was also much less prudish in being naked as the Thai usually are.

For me its long time ago I did that-in Pattaya, and then that guy wanted rather to stay with me the night (which I hardly ever do/did) and it was HE who started next morning. In same city I also once had a young guy who boasted (only when we were in the room) that he could come 4-5 times easy enough-and though the 4th or 5th did not come that easy, I do remember it was quite a fun night. He ate for double afters.

ARENA has never been known for twinks-I doubt if they even had one at all. You may have a look at theBest-ground floor, same building, it also advertises on Thaimassageboy and this means it will offer more as only massage. Have been twice to new White House (across from Lard Prao 101, old Wh HOuse was near Mall/Bangkapi and was excellent), it started with a load of guys defected from Jey/Sukhumvit, but both times have been mediocre at best. Far too far away and hard to get to for newbees to BKK. IF a m2m shop has some twinky types in the Thai areas, its nearly always a rather girly (if not katoey) boy for bottoming. Thats usually not what farang come for. Also noted that the more Thai shops by now mostly run on clients foning in before and being expected-that just walk in type and see who's there is disappearing fast. Now the problem is: how can one know who to fone in for without having seen any? Same like ordering the new craze of shoes etc. online and sending them back (you ordr 5 pairs and keep maybe only 1 that fits) is not feasible there.

Most of those buses stop running shortly after dusk-around 19.00. Useless for late nite outings Also most of these former small real buses have been repalced by the dreadful songhthaews-in other colours as red-and with big route nr on the side. After my last visit to there and noting the suddenly much raised prices and the influx and china-town transformation, plus an awful experiience at a former good&great massageshop, I decided that would be the last time going there. As if to prove this was right, the eve after here in BKK had a great time in another m2m massage\shop-with a guy from ChMai!

Yesterday eve had to wait long time at/near Chatuchak for next bus-there pased some 20 A1 buses in the meantime-the DMK-Mochit BTS express, most were fuill to standing-nearly 1/minute!. The A3 and A4 cist 50 bt each, atv the mo A4 to Sanam Luang is quite frequent too-maybe due to the enormous crowds visitng it for the royal crematoriium. @z909: advantage of A1 is that it starts near exit of DMK and is empty when starting at Mochit-the 29 Or 510-AC and better) is always full to standing. There is also 538 from Vict.Mon-via Tollway and thus much quicker. Chris:-this is long overdue, but at main rd (and you should know that from your first stay nearby Laksi)-Vipavadee there IS 24 hrs bus-29. Besides that-after having passed immigr etc and late plane, it will be 3.am-and buses for normal daytime start running by 4.00-trains too.

@1. you tink too muth-as most newbies do. In OTHER such m2m places, the min tip includes ''everything'' en there is no need to even bargain/make a price beforehand. Nor in fact to discuss all those things beforehand. Of course, if well satisfied, you can give more-think of an odd 2/300. Thai rather say: I''ll come back for you. ARENA (may have changed) advertsies with a rather low min. tip (used to be 500-DK what it is now), but that is for ''soft'' s only-(this means no real penetration), The usual min. anywhere in BKK in Thai places is still 1000 bt-as said for ''everything'' (sometimes more now for longer treatments-like 2 hrs). Farang aimed places, and Arena surely is one, just grab what they can get. Surely dear khun Vinapu will chime in a litle later, he is a real AR expert and can tell more, also about @2. However: do not assume too much that overnight or even out of house is available at all for that guy. Check their site (fb?) first.

you had better put a different Q-not necessarily for just PTY, as a new thread started-more response. Sure people have done that. But you should realise that: -most boys are not at all well known in PTY (or the other place, esp. for BKK) and it may work out that you have to lead them in stead of otherwise! Nowadays in fact a lot of boys come from Cambodia or Laos-they do not even speak Thai nor can read it thus also cannot guide you. -the age difference there likely is is much more likely to apply for these things to do as for those in bed (like seeing movies, go somewhere to eat etc).-roomboys/waiters have their working day and these are long in TH. Also: in PTY many barboys do have a''normal'' daytime job which they cannot just forget for an odd day. The bar is their 2nd job. For your plan just leave it to go to some place in the eve for a drink or short eat on the street-going together to another bar is more like inviting the dentist to go to another dentistry-or it will turn out he suddenly has lots of ''friends'' womewhere else who need to be entertained too. What is mostly mentioned by others is (esp. for Isany guys) to go to one of the numerous ''Isan/moh laam dance halls/places with KaRaOK and singing/dancing)-even many barboys go there after work is done-its sadly also mostly a midnight affair.

@vinapu: sorry, now I really have to disagree with you, as I think Ive visited more as you in greater BKK-at least all those of the 40+ tesco and 50+ BigC-incl. the former Carrefour+ a few dozen in the deprtmtstore chains like MALL, BigKing (closed now), . One DOES see 100s of workers in overalls/spoilt clothes, also schoolboys (well, girls too) in their shorty pants after 15.30 and whole families who clearly in todays Thais times would qualify genuinely for the new blueflag cheap shops card. In fact when it was stil there Carrefour (a multi country giant hyperstore vendor-from FR, but about anywhere in South+East EUR + South AM and formerly East-Asia) they intendedly sold their foodcourt plates for a little less as on the street-to entice the punters in. And they did-often with giant Qs at 12.00.- khao moo daeng for just 15 bt and the nice hot desserts (Lychees in syrup-10 bt) I remember quite well. What is also sadly quite easy to spot is that many of former very busy of those have come to hard times-without any clear reason or nearby street-side Thai style vendorcluster having set up. As a very weak remainder of this- Terminal 21, beside Asoke/Sukhumvit BTS/MRT crossing also does that-the food there is mostly horrible mass produced though. Still plenty of choices for 30 bt. Also full to overcrowded with young students-great for eye candy shopping. I travelled all over BKK and around for years and at around 12.00 I usually just stopped/stepped of the bus at the frist of shuch places we would pass by. Oh-when it started Crfr even offered free internet after a small purchase. But the discusiion is also very superfluous-there is hardly any difference betweenthat recently so enraved strtfd or what these courts offer. In Malaysia the difference is a little bigger, as seems to me, but though Ive visited both KUL and Penang quite often, and even JB and KB and KK and Kuching, Ive not really compared or bothered too much. But the giant foodcourt at that Mall along the KTMB-komuter just south of Sentral (sorry, forgot the name) did it all right though.

Guten abend-nacht fuer dich, von hier. NO, of course not-the 2nd list are ''private hire''-mostly small/tiny plans,. only ThOrient and that ThaiVietJet (which surprses me a bit) offer the usual AirAsia-style cheap budget flights, either just domestic or also INTernational. ThOrient also does/did a lot of charters to mainland China. SiamAirtrsp only does that. They mstly have quite old 2nd/3d hand planes, older types. Thai airlines that offer regular scheduled passenger service: Thai Air, Thai Smile, NOK, Thai Air Asia, ThaiLIonair, ThaiVietjet, Thaiorient, BKK-air, and the curently not flying but holding licence: KANair, Happyair, combo Tiger(SIN)/scoot is partly Thai. Thai Air (the main and best known INT carrier) (part)owns NOK and ThaiSmile. As their name suggest the Thai--Viet/Lion are local ''daughters'' of other ASEAN budget airlines (LION in INdon.-which country always gets very, very bad rankings in these safety inspections).

Qs like these are most likely already answered a plenty-into the finest of minor details, on general sites like tripadvisor or LP=lonelyplanet etc. Ive done it (of course) nearly 1 year ago now (as I only spend cold season in TH). Usually used (there is never ever a 100% garantee on anything in TH, esp. transpo) are white Chinese built KongLong or SunLong city-style buses from the AOT with extra luggage racks. Same buses that offer the free shuttles on the LANDside grounds of Swampy. You MUST show either a ticket out from the other airp. or into the airpt leaving from and then get assigned a space (no fixed seats), and as any bus has limited seats there are some reports one may (MAY=not will) have to wait for the next or next-next one. You also get (or at least got) a festival-style ink-stamp on hand or so to show as proof. I think your name etc is also recorded on some list-so they know the victims if an accident happens. As any newer export-CN bus it of course has AC, but this is Th, so in colder chimes it will not mean it is on. It is of coruse nonstop in the airline sense (that means NO commercial other stops between the 2 termini), buses leave fairly frequent-mostly ev 20/30 mins from very early till near 0.00 and usually (again this is BKK/TH-NO garantee) take 1 hr-mostly rather boring expressway. Alternatively there are the normal citybuses on lines 554 and 555, that take much longer (555 is usually quickest, but at least 90 mins in low-dense traffic) and serve all normal stops-pay conductor 33 bt. Or there are VANs-same nrs. that mostly only let people off near their homes, mostly used by airportworkers-50/60 bt/ride. These are also all AC as above. As any TH bus-as soon as there is 1 ray of sun any Thai will try to shut this out with any available or self-brought in device: curtains, slides, Cartons, whatever.

Must have gone years-ages ago. The best alternative, but limited in its scope, but with the usual clickable maps etc. is travelgayasia (there is now even also travelgayeurope, which is way lower in its uptodatedness). There are some more wonderful graveyards of gay places died long ago-somehow gays seem to like to make such listings. f.e. take a look, if so interested, at dreadedned.com. A busy JPNese (who else) has made a terrific overview of nearly 100 BKK gay massage m2m places-with googlestreetviews and maps. (sorry, at thge mo do not have the ww at hand, will try to remember).

Well, at least there is some variety in it-listings of this keep on popping up every year or so. Sit on the table, eat on the floor. Kill your granny for 10 bt. Keep your 5 bt bus fare in your ear. with the current BKK-clean up actions, it must be an invaluable skill to spot the few remaining illegal ambulant food vendors with carts. Have your noodle soup tied up in about 62 plastic bags to take home. Did you ever see mom&pop (or rather one of the kids) of that shop run to the nearby 7 to buy an out of stock item?

One can shy away the Indians by telling something in Urdu/Farsi/Pashtun/Hindi to f*** k off. Though it must be said that in BKK most of these touts are Nepalese. and some Burmese.

seems you talk about BKK-that big city has around 25 of such places (bet about the highest nr in this world), though more as half are somewhere way out in the sticks and none, really none specialises on twinks. On some of christian's blog you can find a complete list, or check it on gayscout.com or the better known ones more favoured by farang on travelgayasia.com. Timing is much more imptt, as indeed many are nearly deserted for most of the time. Best times vary with place and time of year. As already pointed out, Babylon is the most populair among farang, often with over 50% farang in house. It is mildly also favoured by some Thai twinks aiming for that. (psst-they get in for free or get other freebies). After that is likely 39underground in Sapan Kwai (BTS nearby), R3 when it has its events (and you are in its age-range), or Farose2 way after midnite (way out in RamKamHaeng uni-area-dirty, strewn with litter, free food of the 12 bt variety and often guys that do not even bother to undress from street clothes). Even dear chris seems not to have too much good luck in those places and I have given up about completely-a bit strange, as out of BKK in the few towns that have them, contacts are/were much better. You best bet on having twinks in is to hire one before from any of the dozens of places offering that and go together. Go on the right day and its even 2for1 in. In general young Thai guys get a generous discount anyway. You best chance is among the deafening noise of the DJ disco in the small soi beside Robinson Silom.

Booked my flight ticket on a sale. Now to plan my trip...
pong replied to spoon's topic in Gay Thailand
Selamat malam dari disini, and FYI-and others too|: BKK-SR: there are now 3 DIRECT buslines, which offer more as 1 trip/day, all cost aorund 30 US$ (about 1000/1100 THB), and can do (IF there are not too many diffcult cases among the pax for border-control), much easier and faster as that hopeless train -6 hrs and only 3d cl hard wooden seats-plus taximafia to border). One from Mochit BUSstation, others (incl. Giant Ibis-can book online) from the banglamphu=Khao Sarn road bekpek ghetto. Read christians latest report from SR and see then again if its worth for you (besides the temples, overcrowded with koreans in marriage-mood) for the nearly disappeared gay sector. (Oh-is that price so istimewa?Ive flown often BKK-KUL v.v. for that price, also LionAirThai=Malindo has often cheapo flitos). -
Rainy means-read that guidebook, or even TA, it has been said so many times; in general it rains around 1hr late afternoon, with a giant tropical downpour-which refreshes anything. The longer the season lasts, the more floodings will arise. What is more nasty is the general climate: very humid. hence why many prefer the cool dry high season. Even though many say its low season-its not as such in some places (general touristy) as so many Europeans have holiday at that time and grab the chance to fly to TH-hence high-season flight pirces.
-
depends on for what you ask this for. For HTLs/accomm: varies by place and house, but as general rule: low=rainy, high=dry season/monsoon, with peak-high the weks around Xmas/+1/1, mostly as so many farang then come, these are not thai special holidays. Also as rule of thumb: the worse the wheather in TH, the lower the saeson is and also prices for places aiming at those folks. IF you follow and read fora like this and other re gay-TH: its as der Chris says: it always rains complaints about too few boys, too few customers, etc. In general this is not an all an issue that should worry you much: what is characteristic of TH and especially TH tourist-places is a giant oversupply of anything a tourist might want.

1.this is again a case where people speak beside one another, as different countries have different systems. That cr-cd offers it, is unheard of on the continent of EURope. 2.However, about any EU-ropean (and even Brits as long as brexit is not finalised) should have or able to get the EHIC-card which shows that you are insured-in whatever way of the country-you get as your status as EU-citizen corresponding help when you get an accident in another EU-country, at least for any emergency. For me it will do the same wherever in the world, except that expenses are limited to max. what would be paid out in home-country-which for TH or ASEAN is not a problem. I have annual infinite travel-insurance, the main part of it is the extra on it in countries like JPN/US and immediate assistence anywhere in the wolrd via their help desk for whatever problem-I can just pass it on to them. This cost me around 40/45 eur/year, paid together with other insurance like home and personal accidents etc. Thus I object to paying extra in other countries, as about most conceivable mishaps are covered.

Mostly similar to say IBIS-Budget here in EURope or any of the loads of other budget-hotel-chains. Traditionally Thai HTLse were in centre town, near train/busstations and run by Chinese. These are more aimed at cardrivers and thus often at edge of town near the motorway/highway. Picture is a little deceiving-superwide angle-expect small rooms. Also I dont know how well they cope with age, chain exists for some 5 yrs now and aging seems to be a perpetual prob with any Thai building. Normal price is mostly 6/800 bt/nite/roomonly (max 2 people), but they indeed very often run promotions.
