be glad youre gay-for girls/Thai ladies its much worse in this respect. Children are brainwashed in this-just think of it as a culture-thing. Or take an utter capitalistic look at it-as so many seemingly weird things are best explained by that money: parents (read mam) pay for the process of growing up, and expect to be paid back in full for that.

Further to cpf: speekee the angkrit=english is also a price-rising factor, as it is in about any Thai shop. That shop acros from Sun=tawan is named Indra, after an Indian god. @cpf: In fact I guess your choice of ''male therapists'' confirming to your rather large list of ''has-to'' is also a lot better at more Thai local places as at tourist-aimed. @alizizou: it is for sue that that Tawan has a large following in people swarming about their ''muscle-boys''' and thus gets mentioned far too often, but that msg-shop does not really offer such lads.

Except for the twinks, indeed that Prince (never have been) would be best, and much used to farang. As a far nr [2] likely Arena, it was said that a fair lot of former hero-guys went there-(or was that Uniman-anyway there were reports that its staff had nearly doubled) no idea if that is still the case. or over-expensive Senso. The negative about the Prince is (for me hearsay) that its money-money-money aimed wit the Chinese lady running the place even made bets, in Thai and clearly heard by visitors, how much a customer would tip. Again: this may all have changed. It certainly has the best rooms-I think just like Hero they have several grades. Though some of the more Thai aimed places may have the odd twink or so, this is not general and often also subject to the wims of the guys in turning up.

Khrap khun duay, many thanks for this effort-an extensive followup of the old shamefull mackie. Inn due time i might add some experience for more, but time prevents me for now. I would omit that new Common-its way out in the sticks and very far from LPrao/MRT and even from normal buses. Vipa44 just replaces former Homme2. KINGs has a special: doublesize beds, have never seen that in other places. BodyClub has twins-beds 9friom the old place): more like 1,5 width. Jey charges 500/700 for oil//60/90 mins, MIn tip is 500 soft/1000 hard. hard to find out, except by actual visits, but it might be useful to add of they accept cred-cds-some do, (like jey). Waternest (sukhumvit) is reported as closed. Onnce that new MRT line opens, you might add the 3 places close by one another in far away Nonthburi, also posting on TMB: Seed, HiClub and IMAspa. By then much eaiser to get to as those along Lard Prao and its subsois.

Muscfair: easy to see on the website of urbanmalemassage. Both are not cheap and the new Banana was even a little more exp. as old Hero was. UM has a kind of differentiated ratescale depending on time and popularity of employe. Thats why they want you to give review+rating after the treatment. But again: youll have to accept that there is simply NO garantee, NO ever good advcie etc-it all remains the luck of the draw.

Yes, I can read Thai and am fairly familiair with this area.. it is NOT at all close by/walking from baring-it is in ''city'' SamRong, aboput 2-3 kms onward, and in fact that ''house''=IMPERIAL=shopping centre, best known since the last 5/6 yrs as the localBigC. ANY bus stopping at south end Baring going south can bring you there-but as they are busy extending the BTS (maybe finish in 2 yrs) its hopelesslessly jammed up. AND then its about 600-1km away from main road in ready to get lost mazes of sois. In fact with taxi it might be better to take it from bangNA and intruct to take the back road=old railwayroad and ask for that hospital. I bet it other as vinapu, bcse the Ifs are not met-at all. PLus that samRong has a bad rep among mid-clas Thai-plus that its not BKK, so about as far as that Russian beach might be for real NYers. or Long Beach from Hollywood. I also doubt if they can even convince their nr of ''therapists'' to go there and wait for nothing. There are scores-nearly a dozen, other m2m Msgshops in various sidesois of Sukhumvit, ioncl. a reincarnation of the old BodyClub. Mg Boran is also not at all ''close by'' but another 5-6 kms onward-again via that hideous clogged up road. In between there is the ERAwan elefant statue, which has a museum inside.

BS is quite a large quarter, its one of BKK's 50 local district. Is this the result of some airb&B offer? As above: its ''fairly'' near the Bang Sue combined TRAIn (SRT, long distance) and end of MRT-station, and in april/may the extension of that MRT (=metro, underground'' rot faay fah taay din'') will open, but you will need to change for just 1 stop then. Its a for TH standards midclass area, as nondescript and mixed as well over half of suburban BKK, There is a lareg TESCO hypermarket closeby, and also a recent renovated giant wet market named Prachachuen. Klong Prapa=watermians is a dead-str8 long watercanal running through it, but expect nothing out of that. I do not know of any specific gay spots in that area, but with the new MRT you can by then easily get to the many local ones in Nonthburi (sauna, massage). Sapan Kwai is also ''fairly'' nearby (maybe a 50/60 bt taxi or free/6,5 bt bus-nr 97). For Thai the area is somewhat notorious due to its giant police-station, (name is Tao Poon, which is also the common name for that area) whose officers are often seen as somewhat overzealous in ticketing persdons for whatever flimsy reason. There is/was? also a/one of many/ ''antique sat/sun ''railway'' markets just a little further along that road-which as such has the usual enormous jams most of day.
-
FYI and all: there is also a dedicated gay type of AirB&B lookalike: ebab.com. Might at least have a look. I did some time ago and found it had plenty of BKK rooms, but did not check if they were also on the main site.
-
to add:very simple method-when airfares to BKK are at its lowest, then the wheather is at its worst. and v.v.

The EURO summer holidays from late june till early sept. certainly do have more people visiting LOS then, but for the Thai it remains low season, as its rainy. But DO avoid the monthes of may/june, before the rain really starts, as then it really gets oppressing humid+hot then-in that respect Thai wheather DOES differ from SIN, which sits about on equator and does not really have distinct rainy/dry seasons. Sept+early oct often sees enormous amounts of rain. For barboys traditon has it that the rice-planting, harvesting, draws many back to the village in the time. But it seems to me this is mostly a thing of the distant past now. Anyway, I mainyl visit Thai places and there is always an ample supply of students or whatever working there-this may be different from the expensive tipical touristy places that get mostly mentioned here.

@HiClub again: No, I do not do links, and I also even do not know if that youtube is still on. But its daft easy to find, IF still on, go to thaimassageboy, find HiClub and then follow links. But expect nothing as the same pix as on its www but slowly moving into the next. NO boys etc. For now use bus 134 from the Mochit BTS to get there-get off at stop just after the old Carrefour, now Big C RattanaTIbet and before the Central (actually a Robinson), go in soi-turn right, in unnamed soi beside Familimart. SEED and ISpa are just beside that Robinson complek-clear maps on TMB. Other side of main rd, just 7-8 mins further walk onward. Surprised to see -just now-about Uniman. But lets see; about any of the m2m msg places in that area are moved out or closed; Albury, Banana, HIS, the Old BodyClub-I guess rents there get just too high. Or maybe that whole falling apart (as any Thai building seems to do after 4-5 years) complex it is in is going to get renovated?
-
@blueshrimp: thats the peril of choosing from just a picture-same like booking hotels here in TH from a site. Thats why I never do that. Check at place. @ct200: some boys seem to think that when the final play is on its good to imitate poh-movies too with all that slang and etc. For me they better just stay quiet. Same for comments about ''how much'' you spawned. But back to OP, the divine madman: any intent to try out a few more local Thai places? There are so many here in BKK you're spoilt for choice.

Thanks from Bangkapi (where I am now, Happyland here) for this report. Some remarks-most have been said by others already. @ARENA-I had the same exp. my last-and final visit there-boys want their tip IN the room (its customary to slip that when you exit mostly) AND they just try to get more-has nothing to do with 'set rates'' or whatever. Just say no. In Thai places you never talk/bargain about tips. For me this means I no more go there and its again a confirmation that the whole of that Silom ghetto should be avoided. It is new for me that i read that normal msg places also post Min tips. As said min wage here in TH is 300, or 30/hr, msg is not at all considered to be a very skillful metier (about any Thai thinks s/he can do it), min wage for UNI-graduates is 500. In nearby Cambodia and Burma its half that. In soi 24 to Urban Male/Banana-new are various places that charge just 100 bt for 1 hr Thai or foot msg-and thats also prime tourist-area. 200 is the more normal rate though.

ES=Espana is of course daft easy IF you are EU- right of abode for unlimited time. SO: again; THINK before posting and state from where you are. Anyone knows that different rules apply to diffwerent countries. BTW_ in those sauna's in Mad and Bcn with rent-on-the-spot there was not a single Spanish guy to be found. The one who claimed to be (from Andalucia) was of course Moroccon.

Please think and do not be that vague when asking. WHERE-what city? Is readymade for you ''hanging on the rack'' (Very, very rare for this) or made-to-order (much more common). I think that market would be the last one to go looking for it, for ready to wear Thai areas with lots of govt-style offices are a better bet. Just like you find dozens of shops selling football-shirts around the Nat. Stadium and dozens of shops selling police wear+attributes in some streets of Chinatown. or school-pupil clothes+every book for Thai schools in the govt Khruu Sapaa bookshop.

ct2005 has it right-I was myself a bit surprised when my long-time friend (muslim guy, middle class Thai. gay) started applying it and he has done better ever since. He never ever talks about it, nor can be persuaded to nor will reveal where he got it from. Have had it occasionally in some m2m shops, mostly not of the very best quality. THus: its-like so often in these shops, purely the chance of luck, like the lotteree. Never have found a shop being proud to offer it as such (this may be the case in MY or ID). Vinapu hints at various police raids, always possible in MY.

@101/showers: its a normal Thai house in a row, dated. It has shower rooms+WC on floors 1+2 (2+3 for US) and also a kind of make-do shower in 1 of the street side larger rooms-forget which, this maybe cold only. Last time I was there-I think dec. fairly cool time, there was NO hot water at all in any. It may very well be that the water mains have now also stopped working properly. Pix say nothing-do you really still have to learn how old those FB etc things can be and how fotoshop works? Just look at the accumulated dust on the once so nice decorations in rooms.
-
Thanks again, in the meantime Ive also found the new BC. @101: this place has really gone downhill-a very thoruogh spring cleaning would be needed. Showers now lack hot water or maybe even running water-a good thing in this utter cold winter. Also street-side rooms suffer from extreme noise. What you get is changeable and I disagree this time they are all good looking. But all were more attentive to 2nd part. Very close by is the NEW White House in soi 128 Lard Prao-same price, better standard, a lot of ex-Jey guys seem to have defected to there. @ Hi-club: also the very nearby Seed (a filial/saakhaa) and I-Spa. For now: too far, but the new to open MRT line to Bangbuathong stops close by and will make things much more easy. HC is same owner as former 88 in soi Rewadee (and the also closed K-male). Was extremely well run by a guy named Tata, who also made all their youtube etc movies, but the receptionist now is a guy named MOSS, very friendly, no english. Usually there is one guy around who speeks english well-a former barboy. Place is cramped, cheap, very busy weekends but delivers. Used to farang as such. Very generous with all kinds of discounts, but mostly not in keeping the bought time. I general I prefer Seed above it, though it has fewer boys and is also mostly on call. Some places that still exist but have ceased to advertise on ThaiMassageBoy: Ruan Rab Rong, along main road Lard prao, between soi 35/37 near busstop, beside red-faced postshop 1,5 hr 500 bt. Recommended Its filial Baan KLuay on the corner of Ramkamhaeng main road and soi .. not so much @PInklao-in the old Sai Thai Busterminal in far west Pinklao, see ad on gthai.net The Bank, beyond Sapan Mai back side of Don Muang, hidden in a moo-baan, too far to bother (Pumarin is even further) For all these the same holds as you say from S52. These usually have more boys on call weekends/evenings, thats the busy time. Often boys have normal jobs or study. On a site named (country=Thailand).worldgayguide.om, mostly Japanese, you can find most locations easily with googlemaps and front streetview pix. But it still lists many that have gone out of bisnis!

what to see is in any guidebook. Plus that they have even developed their own tourist-promotion-outlets and distribute all kinds of leaflets-in english and Thai too-about what to do/see. In such a long time (get your visa sorted out!-they may only give you 1 month) you have enough time for some short tripping outside-think of Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou and the watertowns. All big cities now linked with the superfast and expensive new trains ev 20 mins or so. Was there late sept-just before the 1/10 main holiday and it was quite OK, but very crowded. At least traffic is more organsied as in BKK. Compared to TH/BK shopping is hardly worth any exploring. Much higher cost and lower choice.

a NOK; they have mostly the normal B737, got most of Thai (its owned by Thai and does low-budget the domestic routes), but NOK-MINI used the smaller props-planes. These flights usually cost more. They serve the routes with lesser demand. This for the many who do not know more and are scary of such planes. @ 101=Roi-et: this place has a sizeable muslim population, fairly unique for Isan and is also known for its amny migrants in big cities who drive tuktuks and buses. What you write about its attractions can well be said for about any local Isan or else provincial town. Most however have a yearly festival of some sorts to attract people.

These airlines fly Bk-CNX: Thaismile, AirAsia, Lionairthai, NOKair (owned by Thai), BKK-air.(calls itself boutique air). Just pay a little more for a quiet brain. Fact; AA is in fact 5 different airlies, domestic its THAiAairAsia and this has never had an accident. The 1 crash was of course by the Indon AA-in general all airlines from there have a bad rep. There are some 20 buscompanies running both by day and overnight, incl the govmt. owned BoKoSo, which has 2nd cl, 1st cl and super-de-luxe (called 999) VIP bus. Fares range from 350-900 bt. Train: read seat61 for a very biased pro-train info. As chris writes: there are OK beds, the cars as such are also OK, but the rails not-and this makes all the difference. ON day all windows are closed to keep sun out. Arrived today hre in CM, by bus from NAN (greenbus, 6 hrs, 259 bt, free cookies+water included). Its at least less cold as in Nan and rain has stopped.

Sh-less mack also reported on KUL, Manila, Jakarta and Thai towns like Pattaya and ChMai. Is by now pretty dated. Many of his reports are a bit abrieved-besides hat of christian, on the by now also museum-alike site: nickygaybangkok (other as nickygaypattaya this town is not updated at all) and even refers to him for some finds. Div.Madmana double khrap khun krap from me for this extensive reports and the clue/key to the new BodyCLub-will visit soon.

re these cards/coupons in foodcourts: all work the same-you can get the remianing money back by the same desk as where you buy. Many of the swipe cards last for 30 days. Those from tescoLotus (which foodcourts seem to have gone downhill a lot) are valid in ANY tesco and last for 6 monthes. Oldstyle paper coupons usually only must be used same day-or given back.
