    Coronavirus

For the most part Bangkok is business as usual. Not nearly as many Asians as I thought would be wearing masks. Barely any Westerners wearing them. In the entertainment district. (Bars and Gogo’s). Only occasionally an Asian customer wearing masks. nobody talking about it. Unless you turn on tv you would barely no anything was going on. At the airport they were trying to take temperatures. Getting maybe 50% of passengers. Hong Kong did much better job. They narrowed the walk ways and got almost everyone’s temperature. This is a Religious 3 day weekend so many have left city. No Chinese tour groups allowed in Thailand so no big tour busses. All in all it’s pretty much business as usual. Bars and gogo’s open tonight, but no alcohol till after midnight. Unless your a regular customer and they will give you a red plastic cup with tea. Wink wink.
  3. I’m in Hong Kong at the airport right now. I just got off a flight from the US. The entire flight crew wore masks and all wore plastic gloves entire flight. All Asian passengers wore masks and half wore gloves. I didn’t see any Western passengers wearing masks.

    Coronavirus

I’m flying to Bangkok tonight thru Hong Kong. My flight is maybe 25% full. Business Class had 54 seats booked last week. This morning only 10 seats taken. I’ve got a lot of friends in Bangkok and they all say you have to be aware of things but wouldn’t cancel. There are no flights from China . No big Chinese tour groups. They say it’s a bit quiet right now.
  5. Shows all start between 10 and 10:30. Things will probably be a bit slow for the next week or two. Bangkok just coming off big holiday weeks. But still enough going on to have a great time.
  6. I’d go as long as your not headed into that area. Use caution and stay away from tourist areas. It’s business trip so you can limit physical contact. I’ll be in Hong Kong on Tuesday with no thoughts to cancel. I’ll see you in Bangkok soon.
  7. How many of us will need a lift or escalator to get to gogo’ s that are upstairs?
  8. An interesting point on charges. If they have passport stamps up to date. (Monthly visa run) and are caught working in shops or gogo’s, the charges are just working without a permit. Not being in the country illegally. Because of this they are usually just fined and released. if passport is not stamped up to date , then can be charged with being in the country illegally and working without a permit. Usually comes with jail time as it gets sorted out a fine and deportation for up to 10 years.
  9. Raids are carried out at male and female establishments. Also restaurants. It’s immigration police. It’s foreign workers they are after.. these are the kind of businesses that attract these workers. I think they hope big production raids will act as a warning . That never works. Unless the business gets closed there will always be workers to fill the jobs. There was a time back in Twilight a couple of the gogo’s would only hire a Thai guys to avoid problems when police decided to check in. Biggest week of the high season. Good time for high profile raids to show off for the big boss.
  10. Rock hard is pretty much on point. You are absolutely a big personality over there. You post 10 hours a day in the political forum. You spend half that time telling everybody how much you know about politics and that know body else knows it like you. Political forum is pretty nasty place. Daddy just asked for everyone to tone it down thru the holidays. Several decided NO. Daddy said enjoy the holidays ...elsewhere. Pretty simple
  11. Unfortunately no more Twilight. Water was allowed from 5 till 8. All the gogo and bar boys put on quite a water fight show. So much fun to sit at Maxi’s and root on your favorite guys.

    Lucky Boys

    10:30
  13. Can’t wait to see what’s on Saturday nights menu.
  14. I got a premium economy ticket on Cathay on a Black Friday sale for $1350. To Bangkok. Be there for a couple of months with a side trip to Ho Chi Minh City for a week. Look at PE to Asia. Much more comfortable than economy and while more expensive a lot cheaper than business.
  15. There is a forum member that posts now and then. I won’t name him, but he’ll probably add to conversation when he sees this. He takes guys from gogo’s to Khao San all the time. They go and eat, drink and shop. They have a great time. I’ve never heard him make any negative comments or talk about being uncomfortable about the area.
  16. I think you’ll find several forum members that spend long time in Thailand will go back to their home countries June July August. Not because of Thailand rain, but it’s summer in home countries and good time to see family and friends and take care of any business that might have needs.
  17. This isn’t as an anonymous public forum as you may think. There are many people that lurk from the outside and don’t join in for sure. But most of the regular posters are friends with many of the forum members. Many meetups and hanging out together.

    BFE in BKK ?

It’s quite amazing in the last few years how many guys are now speaking English. It finally hit them , the more English they speak the more money they make. Oz mentioned Hot Male. One of their waiters arrived 2-1/2 years ago. Could barely say hi in English. Now he is fluent and can talk your ear off for hours. For the most part in the Bars, English is quite widely spoken, with decent fluency. You spill find upwards of 500 guys working within 1 block area. Your problem will be , to many to chose from. Use LINE for contact with guys. Everybody uses it.
  19. Some of us who stay more than 30 days have to do visa runs. Hong Kong is a fun destination.
  20. Vinapu, I think there is a comma or something missing in your story. There were five members and I was one of them and three were offed, but not all by me. There is probably a story to be told, but I’ll let you tell it. It was an exceptionally fun evening. When you walked in there the place lit up. It’s seems you’ve been there before and have built your own reputation with the talent.
  21. Boy69 what does Vinapu’s budget have to do with you? We have people on here in all stages of financial success or lack of it. I have no idea of what you make or Vinapu makes, nor is it any of my business. The way you put it is your jealous of his spending pattern. You say you enjoy good hotels and restaurants. Nothing wrong with that, I do to. But others prefer to stay in more economical hotels and eat street food and share their savings with the guys they meet. What I spend or he spends or they spend, should mean nothing to you. You spend what works best for you. We all work or have worked hard in our lives to get here. Not up to you to tell us how to spend our money. Enjoy your trips to Thailand the best way you can. Don’t worry so much about the rest of us and what we have or don’t have.
  22. Lhr to Bkk is not a profitable flight. BA offers the bare minimum to keep fares low. It’s not a Business persons route. Same in the US. Flights on the 3 big airlines going to Hawaii. They use older planes and don’t offer much in service. Profitability comes from upfront. Heavy tourist beach resort areas are first time families and backpackers. They want cheapest fare they can get. Most of us are seasoned travelers. Flights going to Thailand, Hawaii, Orlando. They are full of people that have never been on a plane before. They have no idea what to expect. The little things we complain about go unnoticed by so many. Which is partly why airlines can get away with it.
  23. Over the weekend there were lots of guys hanging out front shirtless between dance numbers. Not so much the last couple of nights due to rain.
  24. I went to Bangkok Massage tonight. They did a really nice job. Most of the rooms offer something different. Some very small single rooms. Some large double mattress sized. Some in between size. Rooms not all in a row. A couple of hallways going in different directions. Some rooms have showers. If this is important ask first. Otherwise showers at far end of hallway. For those who remember Twilight and all the stairs, Now no stairs. Now that all the rooms vary a bit, I would ask to see one to make sure it’s what you want. Also more privacy. Rooms are tiled. Couple things on the negative side. As Reader mentioned, it is below Lucky Boy so some steady music during show times. Didn’t bother me. If your having a good time you’ll forget about it. Other thing I noticed it needs some dimmer switches for the lights. Probably a little bright. Again having a good time you won’t notice. Also the place has all new tile, so you need to be aware that it could be a bit slippery if not careful. i didn’t look at menus or pay attention to pricing, but I think 1 hour oil was 600. So it appears pricing along the same lines as Twilight. For me one of the best points, is it’s right in the middle of all the Patpong action. Much as they were in Twilight. Some new guys and some came over from a Twilight. They all sit outside for your viewing pleasure and you can go inside and talk in the lobby. Quite comfortable. And there were a few guys there this weekend that were well worth taking inside.
  25. Not to go off topic.....at least Rob sends message asking if it is ok to call. Short call at least an hour. Gives me chance to get a drink and get comfortable.
