  1. Really? Rio Ferdinand......?
  2. Are you offering breakfast? 😄
  3. Honestly?! What dicks, presumably they were in it together. I know there is a level of desperation etc, but they had clearly established a positive reputation which must have been with more than just the posters here and they have just trashed that without consideration for the upset that it has caused those who were fond of them(and might have helped them if they had just been honest).
  4. No it doesn't have staff there for that purpose. However you might make a connection with one of the staff or customers, but nothing is guaranteed. For guaranteed availability go to one of the bars down the alley beside Ram if you strike out at Ram. Sorry can't remember the names of the other couple of bars but as you face Ram they are 100 metres down the alley to the right.
  5. Cyanide in the tea seems to be the explanation!
  6. Silom Soi Four was already in operation by 1972/73 with Apollo, Tomboy, Lonely Boy + +
  7. Thanks, this thread has persuaded me to add two posters to ignore. I never ignored anyone before, here or elsewhere!
  8. Or as the Liverpool anthem puts it, "you'll never wank alone".
  9. Extra staff somehow became extra stalls. Although they might need those too.........
  10. Somehow not reassured by this information, although thank you for providing it. I wonder if the Thai Revenue Department have been taking on significant numbers of extra stall to deal with the additional workload.........
  11. In this proposal it is not clear to me how the Thai Revenue Department can/will distinguish between "income" and "assets". Eg if a retired expat resident were to transfer assets to Thailand after January 2025 would the Thai Revenue Department expect to tax any transfers on the basis that all transfers are deemed as overseas "income", which as an example could be taxed income that has been accumulated in the expat's country over his working life. Is the Thai Revenue Department really going to have the resources to check thirty or forty years of overseas tax returns(if they were available) to confirm whether the transfer was of already taxed assets rather than income.
  12. How? On that note Russia doesn't seem to be receiving many migrants from any African country(even though Russia is "heaven").
  13. Depends on how you are judging performance. You appear to be judging it by the more migrants Russia can achieve the better the performance. EU countries in contrast are trying to reduce/control migration and making it harder to access their countries. EU countries receive significant migration from all over the world while Russia's migration is predominately from former USSR countries.
  14. Oh now you prefer to discuss the quality of life, not the statistics that you introduced! Of course!
  15. No, I followed the link that you provided which showed that in 2023 Russia, even without visa restrictions as you describe, was only proportionately the 71st nation in popularity for net migration. Whereas many other countries, even those with significant entry restrictions, still attracted proportionately more migrants. EG most of Western Europe, US, Canada. This is the link that you provided https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_sovereign_states_by_net_migration_rate&diffonly=true
  16. Of course Russia doesn't put on those restrictions. You need all the help you can get to persuade people to travel there!
  17. Providing more encouragement than help as my experience was more than 20 years ago...........But It did seem like the GAYEST place ever in terms of proportion of the population! I wondered if it was something in the water. If no one comes up with gay venues, I would expect that the gay guys interested will find the visitors in "straight" venues(or on the apps).

    TV

Your access to TV Channels and Movies(English and many more) is only limited by the subscriptions that your hotel/accomodation pay for and provide. Loads of English Language channels tend to be available in higher end accomodation. Where are you staying?
  19. This is the same page. Both are titled: Country or territory Total net migration (2022)[2] Net migration per 1,000 people (2023)[3] So the net migration figure that I quoted(with Russia at 71) is the latest figure(2023), and as a proportionate analysis probably more relevant to these posts.
  20. All this Meridien stuff is kind of weird. We were also on the 24th Floor in December and January in connecting rooms, even numbered! Perhaps it's the sluts floor! In our case we had booked cheaper rooms but were upgraded to Club access. The air condition comment tied in with our own experience as even with the thermostat at the same setting one room was always on the warm side while the other was always on the cold side to the extent of being regularly turned off. I love the electric blinds feature with which you can go to sleep at night enjoying the shaded view, without it being bright enough to wake you at dawn. But if you really want blackout bring the second blind down.
  21. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states_by_net_migration_rate
  22. On the other hand if you trust Wikipedia and look at the total number of net immigrants per 1,000 of the population Russia comes in at Number 71! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states_by_net_migration_rate
  23. If stopped the security guard would require a return to the changing room to check the underwear being worn. These would then have to be taken off pair by pair while the guard watched until they had all been removed. At which point you might need to oblige the guard to avoid being arrested..................
  24. Sounds like a "resumption" not an "expansion"!
