I have eaten breakfast at both the Foodland Patpong and the Boat Bakery Pattaya. Both are edible and adequate. To call them good suggests very low standards.

Well, hooray for you firecat! Not everybody has lots of points, of whichever variety you are bragging about. -
Yes it is.

lots of Cambodian boys, I believe.

Funny Boys Gogo Bar on Pattayland Soi 3 (Boyztown )
neddy replied to williewillie's topic in Gay Pattaya
I have had a drink at Funny Boys twice within the last week. Both times, only 9 or 10 boys in the house. And very few customers. No sign of the new owner. -
He is still there!

I have walked past three times very recently. At something like 11 pm. Twice it was closed and deserted. The third time, it was open, but all lit up, and obviously not doing business. It seems not to be functioning as a go-go. Maybe it is finished. As gerefan says, with Leila there, do they deserve better?

Yes, wrong forum for latin. Some would call that a blessing.

My experiences suggest that Thais are much more reluctant to ask questions about something. Where I would not hesitate to ask.

Bearing BTS?? Wow, that is some way from areas where tourists are common.

vinapu, hope that you are correct. Encouraging news.

Very disappointing news. Hero was a unique experience.

I made a couple of visits to The Prince massage recently. They seemed to be doing quite OK. A steady stream of customers, lots seemed to be Japanese. So I think that business is not bad here.

In Pattaya, the main show at BoyzBoyzBoyz starts at 10.30. The other bar with a boy show is X-Boys Pattaya. The main show begins at 10.00

The B-Boys are definitely paid for their show in BoyzBoyzBoyz.

I also had a massage there once when making eyes at a boy while sitting in Dick's cafe. The boys sitting at the front work there, and are seeking business. The ones playing pool are relaxing, and from anywhere. At least, that is my impression. As I recall, the massage room was OK. The cold shower less so.

Now, that I don't get. You're going to spend 1500B plus at Hero, and won't spend 20B for a motorcycle taxi from Nana.

From what I have noticed, the bar is a place for the boys to hang out with each other. And they are relaxing in their own ways. Many of them are on 'breaks' from other businesses in the soi. Pun there? So I think NIrishGuy has got it right, though I haven't quite got a clear idea of the meaning of 'ropey'.

I have done the daytime trip once from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. The train is adequate, and is not overrun with cockroaches. It is a sightseeing opportunity. However, it is slow, and takes 12 hours, if on time. Flying takes a bit over one hour in the air. I have also done 6 or so flights with AirAsia in SE Asia. They seem safe enough to me. I have not felt uncomfortable on these flights.

Rooms at the Tarntawan Hotel do have safes. The hotel has a great location for the nightlife, and friendly staff. Rooms a bit worn, but absolutely fine.

There is plenty of life left in the old design. Replacement by the new is a slow process, taking years.

Yes, indeed! Though often there would be some young man around town who should have a smile on his face. He might know something about that!

I use a two section wallet. Front section has twenties then fifties. Back section has 100, then 500, then 1000. All notes right way up. All neat and tidy. Well, this is how it is at the start of a night out. During the night, change just gets put in anywhere in the back section. When I sort out the wallet next morning, to see what is left, if anything, it is a big mess. So restocking and resorting begins.

I went there about a week ago. They are in their new premises, basically directly above the old place. BTW, there was a demolition happening in the old location. I asked, and was told that they had moved about 3 weeks before my visit. The reception area is large and comfortable. Door is still near the lift. My masseur led me up a curious staircase, which had a turnout into a solid wall. Further up was the next floor. Here were some massage rooms, large and tiled. Much larger and much nicer than the old place. Caution: tiles slippery when wet. Actually, everywhere is tiled, with the same tiles. Must have gotten a good deal.

An interesting post. The writing style is concise to the point of being blunt. To me, the sense of fun did not come through, but obviously others saw it. I'm not fussed by the quoting of prices paid. Clearly generous.
