Yes, but mostly military, c-130, c-123, u-6, u-8, and several versions of Air America planes. Mostly noisy. However, I have taken several commercial flights in a DC3. The service and seating were so good, I don't remember any noise. Booze served, two seats by 2 seats, soft red felt on the seats, attentive stewardesses, ah I wax nostalgic.

Just when you think Air Asia could not get any worse, they have toped themselves. I wanted to look at one of their promotional fares to Macao from Chiang Mai and when I started the search I got redirected to what they call a waiting room where I waited and waited and waited. It is beyond me how this third class airlines can stay in business. Shame on Thai air and the other major eastern airlines for not being able to bury these idiots.

I've never flofown Ryan Air, and now probably won't---at least with my 10k's of makeup Thai partner---however, I have really given up on Air Asia. If I book far enough ahead I can and do beat their price, and NOK air offers far more perks with less hassle then this #%$*& airline.

No direct flights that I know of between Hua Hin and Chiang mai. I fly to Chiang Mai and then has Suphot pick me up and drive me to Hua Hin. When I return the same in reverse. Suggest best exchange rate for kyats may be at your local Chinese merchant. Of course, my information is ten years old One other thing, the government does post an offical rate exchange rate and an unoffical rate that is offered at national parks etc. Then the black market rate was ten to 15 percent higher the the unoffical offical rate or 1000 kyats per dollar then. I am surprised that this has not gone up with inflation. Again great report, keep it coming.

Yes, they cheat, but I remember when the cleating was more blatant and if you took a tuk-tuk you would end up at some sales place and not where you wanted to go. I don't go to Bangkok a lot, but over the years I have found taxis easier to deal with then earlier experiences. Maybe I'm just lucky. Like Moses, I always take Taxis from the upper level, as I dislike lines. Laugh if you want, but I always look for a budda statue on the dash and have almost always got honest drivers.

Well the whole idea of the new classical style of the renaissance was to depict man in all his glory excactly the way God created him. Not really to endow them with more then they have. As you pointed out many of the statues have things small, but the average height then was around 5' 5" which was a considerable drop from Roman times. Yes, men were taller in the middle ages then in the Renaissance----true.

I consider my BF femme, but by Thai standards he is not, What bothers me in the definitions is, to my eyes, that almost all Asian males under 40 look a little femme to me, and I do not mean this as a putdown. Don't quite agree with the latter. For example, SGT was set up to be anything but harmonious, and I see constant arguments of Thai Visa. Both boards are highly successful,Therefore, I can easily conclude that too harmonious a board will = boring, which also means that the best interest of the board may not be to curb any and all dissent. Cedric, I can't quite agree with this. Yes, I hate discrimination of any kind, but I love freedom of sppech far more then I hate discrimination. Now do not get me wrong in that I would allow anything on any board. That is not what I am saying, but if you set up a homophobe Nazi board, it is your board and you have every right to kick gays off. The same kind of rule applies to a gay board, in that you may kick your Nazis off. A good board and good moderation is one that is set up with specific rules and those rules are followed. It can have rules against flaming, trolling, and how many post you may publish and still be a good board. BAD MODERATION, is when the board has a set of rules and they are not followed, and or the person running the board wants everyone to agree with him/her and won't tolerate opposing views as he/she view any criticism, as a personal attack.
