Wow, I think differing opinions should be encourage, I think satire should be allowed I think you should be able to challenge someone else's facts, but I do not think you should call anyone a name. Haygay is extremely difficult to understand and often not on point, but like firecat says he is entitled to his opinion. The other side of the coin is that everyone else is also entitled to theirs. Yes, leave out the name calling. I was recently appraised of the ability to give honest assessments about businesses and services we can find in our community, even if that appraisal is negative. That really is what these message boards should be about. Recently Michael and others give me a great list of places to have breakfast in Pattaya. Not all agreed but there was a consensus on certain places and when (IF) I ever return to Pattaya I will definitely try the places they suggested. That is valuable and great information. I also might try toyboys as having read all the post---well the ones I could understand--it sounds like a good place even though everyone did not agree. This kind of information is exactly what makes a massage board valuable and I am so happy to see it allowed here. Without this what do you really have left, the weather or inane conversations that go on for 20 pages about the lowest subjects in the world. I believe haygay and firecat commented on one such. I only hope this board is never so placid that we end up with that kind of ridiculous subject as everyone is afraid to state an opinion about things that really matter. I commend the moderation here, but truly hope it continues to be something that is seldom used or needed.

That is nice to know. I am glad my information is wrong. THIS IS what two different board owners have stated and I thought they were correct in their assessment. Thanks for the right answer Michael.

I tend to agree with Z, but think tax deduction for Charity, and non-profits are okay. While Michael is correct in that there has been people who play fast and freely with this tax deduction, I would not eliminate it, but do my best to plug the loopholes to insure the recipient is truly a non-profit. I would rather have people who are moved by the arts, or by the needs of others to give their money and determine what is sponsored then some government agency.

Michael, you do such a good job of translating, but you have read my post wrong. If I am a know identity and I say something on this board that someone objects to, I can be sued because they know who I am. I am sure the owner would be brought into court to prove that I am the same Khortose with the same IP as the identified khortose on another board. I did not say the owner would be sued, only dragged into court, nor did I say it would be because of what I said on other board, but on this board, after having been identified on another board, Now let me know if that is or is not a likely scenario. It is probably my fault you've read my post wrong, as having you read and translate LMTU has probably affected you.

I think you may need to rethink this. Everyone knows I have little use for Gaybutton, but he is 100% correct when he suggests that anyone revealing personal information about a member needs to be banned from all boards. The country has libel laws that absolutely make it impossible to comment about anything from restaurants to political happenings, to bars, and people in the news without being sued and losing--whether or not what you said is the truth. If a member is outed by another person on any board and he says something that some bar owner or person in the news objects to,, not only will he be sued but you too will be dragged into court if it was said on your board. Suggest you have a talk with Michael on this, or some Lawyer about this. You cannot and should not tolerate the publishing of personal information.

I think it would be interesting, I really would like to visit all seven continents just to say I did, but I guarantee I probably would not plan to live there permanently.

Not all of us are young enough or rich enough to attract/buy handsome young men. I came to Thailand for only one reason. The country has many good things going for it, but if I could find elsewhere what I found here I would have left after a visit. My reason for choosing Thailand is simple and it is what keeps me here: Know where we are?

How come no one mentions the great hotel I stay in when I visit Pattaya? I am talking about the very clean and comfortable Poseidon nicely located in the Jomtien complex, We did stay at the Rabbit Resort once, but it is quite a walk to catch a red bus and not a good walk at night. Their shuttle is not always there.

Yes, basically, it is fresh dough made with milk, fried and then eaten with honey. I guess you could fry it in bacon, but it is delicious with just oil, Better then any biscuits, toast, bagel I've eaten, and just as good as a croissant, Heart healty,? Ah well you only live once.

Hope it is better then Chiang Mai's expat club. You pay to join, you pay to go to meetings, at the meetings you hear sells pitches from their sponsors, and the club has no elections, no accounting for the money coming in or out, and it is ran by a clique of people who have businesses connected with the club. Not all rackets are by Thais.

If you are ever in the Southwest, you have to try frybread. Once you taste it you will never go back. By the way, we get cornbread, turkey, cranberry, blueberrys hominy and mush from the American Indians.
